Of course these aren't all of them (I guess) & everyone may have different opinions, but these are the ones I felt like including, this isn't something serious either. Hope y'all enjoy :)

@@pinkgangsta6157 i think they meant the conceptual styles like what aesthetics and visual elements different generations portrayed which is a reflection of what was/is popular at the time. of course the technology has improved but the point they were trying to make was about the creative direction each generation was going for in terms of visuals and color palettes which could be achieved regardless of the technological aspect
2nd and 3rd gen has more mature concept than 4th gen imo

I like how the obligatory sexualization fades away with the years. There was a time when girls and women can only play three roles in kpop: sexy dumb diva, objectified sweetheart or needy stripper in love. There's no longer one million close ups of their skirts/asses/legs, the camara focus on their faces, choreographies and overall beauty and concepts, that's awesome, I'm so glad. And I hope kpop keeps on the right path, mostly for the underground girl groups who are the most vulnerable.

yeah and that they're not stuck in just 'cutesy' or 'sexy girl crush' anymore, groups are doing a lot more varied concepts now with 3rd and 4th gen
I agree but I don't think faded away is the right way to put it considering how much it evolved from a mature-sexy-focused concept to almost the same thing and we just don't call it that. It went from needy stripper-in-love to submissive-sweetheart which I don't think is much better considering the whole point is of women being obsessed with men.
I personally loved the dark themes and sexy vibes. That’s just my opinion, loved it when the girls wear all black and mix with red, and some with lace or just dark concept all together. Some examples missA Touch, EXID Every Night, 4Minute Volume Up

The fact that Girls Generation has a debut song not about corny love song but about telling you to love yourself and feminism. That's why they're on a whole another level.

omg I remember when Wonder Girls and SNSD were literally everywhere! Even little me who really wasn't all that keen into K-pop at the time couldn't stop playing "Nobody" and "Genie" back then. Then T-Ara swooped in with "Roly Poly" and I found the Copacabana mix and that was when I found new appreciation for Korean music.
Though it took me a while to really start stanning... until GOT7 released "Lullaby" and I discovered that MAMAMOO's "HIP" was used by the animation meme community. It was over for me.
As some wise men had said: once I Wheein, I can't Whee-out.
when i was like 3 i went to a shop where they sold tvs and sat in front of the big tvs tey were selling n watching kpop mvs e.g. nobody, gee, into the new world, sorry sorry. thats how i became a kpop stan ig 😹😹

Gfriend was truly a cultural reset in so many ways!🙌 It made way for the cute school girl that impacted 3rd generation kpop, then came with Fingertip that was super underrated because it was ahead of it’s time, then started complicated storylines with TFTMN (that everyone went crazy about) and it also inspired for hard dances to be standard like how SHINee did it for the boygroups. They also created the 2x dance challenge and much more! Even tho they may have disbanded, they’ll always be queens and have left a good mark on kpop today🙌❤️

I’m so happy they included the youngest and newest Kpop girl group Everglow. They literally introduced me to kpop like a month ago after I listened to La di da by accident and I was like wtf is this. I don’t know any other kpop groups apart from them but after watching this compilation I don’t think the other groups can top Everglow’s songs sorry I know I’m new at this but they don’t have the wow factor to me. The only other group I saw in this list and whose songs caught my attention was dreamcatcher when I heard a couple of songs that I was interested in they all said dreamcatcher below

A lot of older kpop groups have wow factors as well! I just think it takes time for some people when they first start listening to kpop to truly appreciate a lot of the older stuff since it sounds different to the norm :)

Being born in '87, I went from singing every single song to sitting completely silent and still, not knowing any of the tunes past about 2015-ish unless it was Mamamoo, Twice, GG, Red Velvet, Chungha, and other older groups and solo artists. ^^: Only now and then was I able to hop in and start singing again for the new stuff.
