I've seen videos recommend as much as 32 grams for one tray but I was doing 25 and getting about 4 oz per tray and cut my seed down to 15 grams and now am getting 8 oz or more so I would definitely recommend playing with seed density!
Thank you for sharing. I find you and your content so much better than most of the more popular channels. I am just starting my own business in microgreens and I've got so much to learn especially on the running of a business. Thank you, thank you.
Thank you for the detailed instructions. I am going to dive right in to start growing and I am so happy I found you. I plan on watching all others to learn. Thanks so much !

great information! just starting to grow MG and starting with broccoli and your video is helpful from sanitation solution to types of trays. Happy growing ☮️💟
Awesome video. Thanks! I've watched about 3 or 4 videos on broccoli. You're the only one who weighs them down. How do you know when you should weigh the seeds down or not?
Hello, QUESTION for you. If I mistakenly introduced to light on day 4 after the weight time instead of putting them in dark time and they've been in light for few hours when I realized this. Is there a chance I could put them in dark for 2-3 days and they'll forgive me or its not worth trying ? Love your channel thanks very much. Good work!
Using coconut coir and maintaining proper moister, humidity, and temperature, I see no problem with introducing them to light at day 4. I do have a different process for watering during the blackout phase which I think helps root development so you can start bottom watering sooner. I usually harvest my broccoli micro-greens on day 8. I get having 2 extra days worth of growing increases the yield, but as far as quality goes I see no reason to grow past 8 days. Drying your greens after harvest is key though. Most of this is particular to broccoli.
Hello I love your videos. I have one grow rack in my apartment. I keep hearing that is good, but I'm not sure on necessary, to have a dehumidifier. I live in Florida and I keep my apartment at 73° and I have the little fan on the sides of my rack like you do. Do you think it's absolutely necessary to have a dehumidifier even if you keep your place cool? Thank you for any response!
super interesting your use of humidity packets. What is your cost on those? It must be small if you use them in even the small containers. The link you left for them didn't work for me. Please let me know - Thanks a lot! Love your helpful content!
there are a lot of videos on the subject, but yours are really the best! Thanks for that. It is unbelievable that you only water the greens once in the first few days, including the blackout. We also use Coco, everything organic and are set up similarly, but one day after we start we have by sunnflowers mold, peas often and broccoli from the 4th day, as good as always. What's your secret =) thanks
@@michaelfritz403 dehumidifier is extremely important for sunflower at a temperature no more than 75 degrees. Anything more and it will mold so darn fast!
Is it necessary to use a grow light or does natural light work too? Like in a window sill or something? If a light is needed, do you have a recommendation?
I love your videos. I've learned a lot from you and I appreciate it greatly. I know it starts to compicate your production, but have you considered using a bit more lighting in your videos? It is often difficult to make out the detail of what you are doing with the tray and the greens.
Can you tell me what temperature of the room for growing and what is the humidity also! We live in Southern Oregon. I will be growing these in the house where I can keep the temperature more stable. I have a small diffuser for humidity if needed. Thanks for you help!

Thank you so much for your reply regarding temperature and humidity. Could you please give me a link to the kind of lights you use? There are many kinds out there and I want what works for you. -- Thanks again, Judi
Link for Absorbent Pads are just an inquiry page, do you know the "cc" of the pads? Can get from 50cc all the way up, what do they work out to $ a piece?
I’m curious as to why you put weight on the seeds right away. I was reading the directions on seeds in the True-Lead Market, and they say blackout dome first, then last few days, flip the lid to add a little stress to the seedlings. Just curious if you tried both ways and decided on your method! (As always, thanks for all your videos!)
Weight is added to the tray, forcing the seeds to root deeper and grow stronger after they germinate. The weight also keeps the planting surface compacted during and after germination reducing loose soil during harvest. To be honest, im not sure why Trueleaf has those directions as EVERY grower I've ever met uses weight day 1. Thanks for watching and hope your grows turn out well!
12-16" from the light. A normal 5 tier rack perfectly spaced out usually suffices 😉 For lights we use 4 foot long 20w LED shop lights. 3 per shelf. Any brand works.
You never know when a spiritual/ existential truth will come through a conduit like our brother here 😇If you get it, you got it 😇 And if you don't your still in blackout 😊 No worries, the light will come, keep going, I believe in you, and I love you 😇💛 Takes more than a few days for people though 😉 Thank you Princeton Microgreens. "Plus its all black so the light won't be able to shine in. Now why is that important that we have blackout? Well what happens during blackout is the plant and the microgreens, they are looking for light, and because they're looking for light they grow upwards to look for that light. So in theory what we're actually doing is tricking the microgreen into thinking that there's no light by putting it in the dark. That way it grows up and grows nice and tall. So that's the purpose of blackout with your micro greens. A lot of microgreens as soon as you introduce them to light they stop growing really tall, so you trick them by putting them in the dark for a couple days, have them grow tall, and then you introduce them to light afterwards." the Truth is Love 💛 the Way is Peace ☮ and Life grows towards the light 🌞 🌱

What do you do with the coir after you harvest the greens?
You make the best micro green videos I was just wondering do you leave your greens under the lights 24-7 or is there a rest time?
The timer is set for 16 hours on 8 hours off ☺️

So helpful, Thanks. How much does one container cost?
Where do you get your clear “corn starch” trays?

When you use ocean solution mix with water how many days keep it ?

Biodegradable containers made from corn starch are great.
I have a question on your downloadable grow chart.
Is the column 'Grow Time' the total grow time from start to finish?

What size brick, and where did you find them?
Do you have a video on your shelving systems?

Hi, congrats on the great videos. How many hours a day do you light your crop and what lamps do you have for lighting?
I’m having issues with my lights(not powerful enough). What are u using for lights on your racks? Lumen? Kelvin?

No PH balanced water is needed.
The water in the bucket doesnt go stale being that we have to fill it x2 a day usually.

If the green trays let light through they are doing the same to your roots too.
