I remember a prophet coming into the church we used to go too and told my parents that they had a family of prophets (us children), between my one brother and I, we had that gift of dreams and seeing. So once the pastors found that out, they usually encouraged my brother and I to tell them things whenever we had “visions”, ESPECIALLY if it had to deal with the church. After awhile both pastors would disregard us because the things we were telling them weren’t good and what we were saying was coming to pass. Now we weren’t labeled as witches but these pastors made sure to make everyone believe that our gifts were being disrupted or tainted by the devil and therefore we were “sat down”. They even brought in another prophet to preach about misusing gods gift and that any negative thoughts or bad visions you are getting are the work of the devil. My parents were FURIOUS and defended us. The pastors were just upset bc we weren’t telling them what they wanted to hear, and knew we were legit with what we were telling them. It’s different from what you were talking about in the video but the reactions of certain church members and those of higher authority in the church are no joke.

I think that Hoodoo should be considered closed ancestral traditions that are also region based for us (African Americans) and when we share certain things it’s more open to be white washed and become profits for other communities. So I keep a lot of my practices a secret.

Well, let's not forget that Jesus was raising people from the dead, healing people from their illness, turning water into wine, feeding a mass of people with 2 fish and 2 loaves of bread. Christ•ians pray(talk) to a Spirit, they kneel at his alter, they chant prays(spells), they make offerings to the Spirit shall I go on. The only difference is that Jesus' craft wasn't considered witch but a miracle (not magic 🤔), and their beliefs are called religious. I guess if you change the name of the act, then it's okay.

Hi Yaya! It's interesting that you brought this up. I'm from SC. I'm very familiar with what you're speaking about regarding the specific people in the congregation.😊 I lived in Jax a few years ago and attended a storefront church a couple of times around 08 or 09. They had a visiting lady "prophet" from the Caribbean attend one Sunday. She had on all white and a headwrap. I've seen this before, but I shut my mouth, of course. We were told to come to the front for an alter call for her to pray over us. The first lady was right beside me. She walked down the line and squinted her eye at each person. She got to the first lady and whispered in her ear, and the next thing I knew, she started screaming and yelling.... Her teen daughter was pregnant. We found out because of the conversations afterward. She had no idea. The pastor was shook. He was not expecting that. Everything stopped. Sorry this was so long. You and I both know what she truly was. Thanks Yaya💙🩵

I am just now accepting that I am a natural born witch. I came from Christian background. My pastor had me as one of their prayer incisor and would have me pray for people that are sick to assist in healing. Also would get messages out of my prayers from spirit. I have always experience different clairvoyance ability. I always understood energy work as well. But I am breaking away from Christianity spiritual limits and walking in my spiritual authenticity. Following my intuition on the path that I am being drawn to. I have always had visions about family, friends or even helping strangers I haven't meet to only meet them later and know what I need to do to assist. I find it funny that the bible speak of people being born with gifts to heal and see things in the book of revelations. But yet the modern Christianity do not believe in that and speak against it as if its evil when its in the very book they read. As well as astrology. The bible also actually speaks against some of the practices that some Christians do in church. you are not to pray out in the open to bring glory and admiration to yourself but to pray in private. There actually a scripture that speak about that. That said if you do so your reward will only be the attention you draw but your prayers will not be good. Because of the energy in which you are in when you doing the intent is not correct so the prayer will not be correct. Prayers are actually suppose to be sacred and the only time to be used in public is if you are actually helping someone sick or in some need spiritual assistance. But not to stand in front of congregations to exalt you self. Because even in healing or spiritual assisting someone that is a private matter and not public. These days these leaders in these churches are putting on a show so there for the energy and focus is on their image and the drawing attention rather then leading and aiding the people.

The scripture u speak about is in Matthew chapter seven concerning prayer and public prayer. Those who believe (not these Sunday folks) r given admonishment for public prayer. Scripture says do not pray to be seen by men for they already have their reward nor is The Most High listening to vain repetitions. Long story short a show, a performance! But u already knew that didn't u?

Your video is spot on! I am Gullah-Geechee from the lowcountry SC (hey fam, hey!) and witches (we called them workers, rootworker, conjurers) didn't really exist outside of the church growing up. the church I grew up in was Baptist founded by my great grandfather. I came to realize how much of what I saw as a little girl that was inherently African. They were the mothers of the church, deacon and one of our most prominent rootworkers was a very well-respected pastor in our community. The founder of the COGIC church, Bishop Charles Harrison Mason was basically a conjureman. If you Google, photos of him can be found with the "tools" that gave him power. There are videos of him as well. Maybe do a "storytime/profile" on him?

I’ve been in church all of my life, there are plenty of Christians with amazing gifts. I come from a family of dreamers, you may call it Seer, I suppose. Even though a lot of us are very into spirituality and seek it out, we don’t call ourselves witches. I think the term witches denotes evil to church goers. So, we just say that Christianity is our faith, and exercise spirituality with the Holy Spirit as our spirit guide

So I re asked the question and she told me she only drinks diet coke. I was surprised and asked her what's with the shirt then? And she said oh because it was so niche. I was disappointed back then but I learned a valueable lesson that day.

Fact that he said a demon came and told him and not an angel of God ,says a lot about him😂😂. Bye Jack You know you lying. I'm not a believer in none of that stuff, but I believe there's a higher power. But he had me laughing when she said that a demon told him. Like I could have sworn that you pastors are supposed to be getting talk to by God and God only himself. You mean to tell me him or his angels didn't tell you you had which is in your church. But a demon did😂😂 makes you wonder what God he's serving in their religion. That's why I stick with spirituality. I know for a fact that that's real 💯
