    If any old auntie healed me...I would cook/clean, and honor her for life!!!

    She had a gift, and shared it. Those who sought her out "thought" they were "using" her. They received Justice via Universal Law. I find no issue.

  • @teneishaswinton7591

    Definitely NOT a curse! That was karma... universal justice played itself out in a big way!

    I've seen this type of story play out with my own eyes. Harm done to healers will be returned with harm of a much higher caliber than was given to the healer.

  • @madamlavee
    @madamlavee 3 ปีที่แล้ว +98

    Since she was a healer I don't think that she wanted to hurt people when she died. She was simply warning them of the imminent devastation of the hurricane. I don't think it was a curse and it is unfortunate that people associate that with her name.

    This woman’s spirit is strong, literally at 12:50 when Yaya was explaining how the hurricane hit the town the DAY of her funeral it literally started POURING RAIN like no tomorrow where I’m sitting at watching this video…jeez can’t even make this up

  • @ella4804
    @ella4804 3 ปีที่แล้ว +98

    I don’t think that was a coincidence. Especially since she was pre-warning them with her singing. It was rather unfortunate that the innocent may have died too. Bottom line, people need to treat everyone the way they want to be treated with respect & kindness.
    This story makes me think of when The Baron speaks about how people call or text & want his immediate help with their problems no matter what. This is a great reminder that nothing we do goes unnoticed. Love your stories. Always a great teaching moment! Thank you for sharing. ♥️🥰♥️

    This sounds very much like my life currently running my business. I prepare taxes and operate a spiritual business. I'm burnt out and folks honestly feel entitled. They are beyond disrespectful and I just had to step back.
    Sidenote...I felt the need to call mama during the video and ask her about my due date. She said I was suppose to be here 9/30 but came two days early on 9/28 due to another surgery she had to hv and inclement weather that was coming on the 30th.
    So interesting... Thank you 😘😘😍😍😍😍🥰🥰🥰

    I'm sitting here making my own stationary, enjoying the herbal asmr, hot coffee and a story from the good sis, Yaya. It's a good day. Times like this, I (kinda) wish I had a coven to create and swap stories with.

    I wonder what the connection is between storms and spiritual workers. Maybe it's because they're in the south and hurricanes, storms, and floods are the main natural disasters. But this story of Julia Brown having an intense makes me think of another story I read in a Zora Neale Hurston essay where an apprentice of Marie Laveau recounted that Laveau almost let a storm take her. But folks didn't listen to her and saved her.

  • @Ziggy-qc7jw
    @Ziggy-qc7jw 3 ปีที่แล้ว +27

    That was no coincidence. Ms. Brown put something on their ungrateful tails and Oya came with a vengeance for mistreating her daughter. I'm going to say a prayer for her!

    I read the story about the curse of Julia Brown, sometimes back. I believe it was a warning. I also believed as people didn't believe her. She added that she will take the town. We know she told them that she was going to died. I believe that she was also a seer. Now the story i read said that her casket was swipted away, because her cabin was near or in the swamp. When the people returned they couldn't find her cabin or her casket at first. But they did. They said that the casket was empty.

      @@roderickbaisden8571 in the message she was singing. It's been said that Esu sings his warnings

    • @roderickbaisden8571
      @roderickbaisden8571 3 ปีที่แล้ว +4

      @@dretaylor7148 Wow! I didn’t know that at all, but it makes sense because in the last video she made about Esu/Elegba he whistled before walking away from the two friends that didn’t give him an offering before they started fighting each other. So the whistling could be equivalent to the singing.

    THE COLD DRINK IS WHATEVER ACIDIC DRINKIN THE ICE CHEST, OR FRIDGE

  • @just4pier
    @just4pier ปีที่แล้ว +3

    "A cold drink" in the south is usually sweet ice tea aka "sweet tea" or sweet tea with a sprig of mint to add to the cold or coolness or with lemon. In some areas, like Virginia, it means cold lemonade. Very seldom does the phrase refer to carbonated drinks and the like. Those types are usually asked for specifically.
