Why would anyone want to own a house with such a horrific history??? For his life to fall apart after that purchase, the Universe probably warned him not to buy it but he didn't listen. Some people like to learn the hard way 🤷🏾♀️
Well there are whites today who go to plantations to get married. I don't think Alot of whites are not sorry and want blacks back in slavery.
@mamateciascateringrecipesa1466 I disagree. The Japanese know to avoid places like homes and places like this house. Some houses just need to be removed from existence, that's why here in Britain they destroy houses with dark past. Like the famous haunted house in Enfield London.
Whenever someone says we're not our ancestors I always say yeah we're some punks 😂😂😂
Speak the truth 😂😂😂
People tend to miss how those times were when the law’s supported the horrific treatment and then our ancestors were would be punished for speaking up…they would do and be the same way…people always speaking what they would and would not do while living free in this time period lol
I told my teen daughter when she was crying over just about everything, “listen, I understand your emotions but think of our ancestors and all they had to do to get you here. They told me to tell you “YO AINT NO PUNK B!” That was the first time I really cussed in front of my daughter and her eyes got big. Then she went on to say how she didn’t care about school, or her homecoming, or her senior prom, nothing. She then got Covid and missed her first week of school, she then caught the flu and missed her entire homecoming week and senior night, then 2 weeks later got mono. I felt so bad for her and had anxiety out the wazoo. I had to tell her “your ancestors have spoken! Be careful what you say!! Now do you feel stronger?” She has been positive ever since.
Exactly!!!! As a second gen Jamaican I’m not even my parents😭 my mom sometimes calls me an egg and I hate it but she’s right
I agree! I am my ancestors. The first time I ever fell asleep and said “I’ll take a message from my ancestors”, as I drifted into that realm, a man bent over in anger and screamed “they took this sh*t from our ancestors”!!! And I’ll never unsee or forget it! It humbled me.
@@msware0104maybe type into Google “what was Christopher Columbus’ real religion”? and then boom it will lead you to the war in Palestine and Israel where they are currently still rewriting history.
I see someone else commented, but I can’t see your message if you were answering my question.
Loved how they had Kathy Bates to portray her on AHS Coven season. Kathy ate that roll up! Was just watching the season the other day 👏🏽
Idk what led me to that exact same season.. It’s my favorite though
Yes she did! And Angela Basset portrayed Marie Laveau flawlessly as well!
We are definitely our ancestors.
Without them none of us would be here.
Thank you for sharing this story with us.
literally. last night in class we talked about role models, as a child I was always my own role model yet getting older I really owe it to my ancestors and past lives fr - it’s deeper than the flesh
I agree with you... I hate when people say I am not my ancestors...it is such an insult...the fortitude stregnth and perseverance our ancestors had to survive so that we could exist...I could only hope to posess a fraction of it....we should always put respect on their names
Not only would I not go in, I don’t even want to walk past the house.
My fiancee is from New Orleans, last name Batiste. So his family is very aware of this evilness. Well knowing my abilities and how they work, he and decided to take a walk down royal Street. I didn't know where the building was I didn't want to know, I was mad because he didn't tell. We got in front of that evidence as a sigma empath, I felt the pain, the flashbacks, I fell to my knees in agony seizured out and woke up in the hospital. I was upset with, he never believed in my abilities until that day. I will not say this evil vile womans til this day. But ty for letting ppl know.Blessed Be sister
I hate you had that experience! Glad to know you're okay. Stay strong! Much love & many blessings to you sweetheart! ❤🙏💯
I hate that saying “We are Not our Ancestors” for every reason you stated and so many more. The black folk of today could NEVER endure and triumph the way our ancestors did. The fact that that is even a saying shows how low we have fallen smh.
Great video!!! That heaux was one of the most deplorable cretins to ever exist and I hope her soul suffers in agony for eternity and beyond.
American Horror story did a really good depiction of the Madam LaLaurie story
I’m so confused at the white people who were disgusted with her behavior when they too were slave owners and probably mistreating their slaves … the fact that they even owned slaves was a tragedy
I’m from New Orleans, as a kid I went to a private school (mind you only like 5 black children total in the class/grade) and they took us in side the house….I remember how cold it felt…it was dark and sadness was all I could feel
WOWWWWW... they actually took you all inside? I'm shocked that parents gave consent. Wait... how old were you?
After purchasing that property, Nicholas Cage had more issues than we thought because this property changed him. People were saying that he started acting stranger than normal. And my guess is, a part of him became one with the house (which is dangerous). If you look at Nicholas Cage now, you get a vibe from him that you simply want to avoid.
That would be his appearance lol when I saw him I was like ugh look at him😂
I think it's always he's here in my city a lot too. Because LaLaurue escaped through here
@@Caramelpop86 You might be right. Some folks to this day say they get a vibe from the house too. But there might be truth in what you said.
@TheLeslieMichelle he's very nice. He's always speaking to the locals here but when I say he's always in Mobile, he is! Not even working on projects. And always hanging downtown by the water. The same bay that Lalaurue got a boat and escaped to France.
Also, Lalaurie beat her daughters when she caught them feeding the slaves and would punishment the slaves afterwards.
I agree; if anything my ancestors were stronger because I don’t think I would have made it back then. Thank you for during this story ❤❤❤
Girl you are so pretty..you are symmetrical..everything is in alignment ❤
I went to New Orleans two years ago and took a ghost tour and we visited the Lalaurie mansion and we were told about haunting and sightings on the outside! I didn't see anything myself but the tour guide told us others have witnessed some ghosts
Those tour guides be lying.😂 they just sell tourist a story. I have walked pass there so many nights. The locals haven’t said anything about haunting either.
❤❤❤our ancestors were very strong, i want to give them the upmost respect and I definitely wouldn't have survived back in those days!!😢
Average white woman that black men absolutely love and adore today.
The r&b singer.part took me out😂😂.
On a serious note..I am Trinbagonian 🇹🇹 and my mother's mother was the product of a r*pe of my black great grandmother by a white French plantation owner back in the day. So my grandmother came out very pale with Grey eyes... I believe we are our ancestors..but when I get to that part I be like damn.. this is my ancestry too. 😢
Hey Ya Ya! I'm a new subscriber and I would like to tell you that there's a movie called The Saint Francisville Experiment where these 5 white college students , psychic included to see if the plantation was really haunted. I have the movie on VHS. I am currently looking for the DVD. Long story short these 5 people spent the night in the house and was filming the supernatural occurrences. The researched all they could find about Madame Lalaurie and her inhuman treatment of her slaves. Long story short, they didn't spend the whole night. The psychic ended up getting her faced scratched up and 2 of the college students ended up needing psychiatric care due to the trauma they suffered. The others were severely traumatized! As a black person I will never, ever set foot on a plantation. Let the disrespectful deal with the trauma!
I used to work across the street from tht mansion. Shid, the whole french quarters is hunted.😊 Nd hearing the stories are fascinating nd intriguing..
My grandma’s family’s from south Louisiana and I used to go there a lot as a kid. An older cousin took me to the city and we just happened to walk past that building and it was the creepiest feeling I ever had
Tho owner of the building used to hold 1 party every year but something would always happen. I heard from some people that are from the area that she didn’t just have the torture room but she had slaves chained behind the walls and the the people at the party when the fire took place fled mainly from thinking something supernatural was happening because as the fire spread the people being burned alive started screaming in the walls.
As I watch your episodes on your channel, the one thing that I’ve noticed is that our blood and spirit and soul is everywhere all over this country.
I am my ancestors. Without those people that lived, I wouldn't be here. Ase'!
@1:00 - @1:58 💯. For me personally when I say "I couldn't have done it" I mean ending my life which is still a VERY brave thing to do 🤷♀️. Laularie was not fully human... None of em tbh!
The ones today aren’t fully human… they are missing that piece that gives human, humanity and they’ve used brutality to try to take it from everyone else.
The read! Folks still scared to ask for a day off from work! 😂😂😂... Hilarious and factual 😅
Have you ever watched "Tales from the Hood" one story goes along with this fact you're teaching. Thank you
The "hell no" that involuntarily left my lips when you asked if we'd be willing to visit😳 I wish those souls peace. Ty for covering this story🖤
I get so offended when people say we are not our ancestors. Our ancestors went through a lot and were very strong people. It's an insulting statement and I have no problem correcting people.
THANK YOU FOR THIS BREAKDOWN! I aspire to be as strong, resilient, fearless as some of my ancestors.
She was just one person. They couldn't un-@live her and take less punishment? This is horrible
Was thinking the same thing...All it would of took is just one to put this Demon to rest forever
@@awaken811 i agree. the psychic attack must have been too heavy. they rather self off than get rid of her? perhaps they feared some sort of eternal hell as consequence if they did harm her. idk
I heard that she was last seen about to board a ship for France then never heard from again. Nobody said she ever Got on that ship and went to France. Just saying. And who would blame the victims/families ??
WE ARE OUR ANCESTORS!
I am grateful for them. Like you said the things they went through was horrific.
Omg did they put this lady into American horror stories?!😂 this sounds too familar
Yes! But before American Horror Story there is a movie called The Saint Francisville Experiment. I have the original VHS tape. Read my comment.
Something I heard recently: “As a women you have all the eggs you will ever have since the womb”.
We are our ancestors.
Thank YOU... that's why I give so much RESPECT & "ACT LIKE I have some SENSE"... knowing what Our Ancestors went through for US💕
This is interesting! 🤔 My thoughts is that lady was cursed she was a black widow to loose her husband’s and kids. Her whole line is more than likely cursed. I bet her descendants are catching pure hell!!
I just moved to New Orleans, Not me walking pass that house at night without knowing the history of that home. I’m going to see if it’s still cemented.
We literally are our ancestors . Blood and bone !! They existed here once before lol I hate when people say that weird shit lol I love your videos boo ❤
U made this story so mild😂. She put poop in their mouths and stitched their lips closed. She broke 1 man bones and when she fixed him back and madehim look like a spider... the wound on that woman's head had maggots in it. I'm from New Orleans and I've heard aoooo many stories about that house....
Yeah, she's probably trying not to get flagged, but she could've gone WAY harder on this evil bihhh
I shouldn’t have been eating breakfast listening to this 🤢😫this is even worse. Sometimes I think about what happened to our ancestors and I just cry
Like my biggest question is who is freeing these souls? They are technologically stuck in purgatory until the souls are prayed and released which is why they haunt, closing them up makes them angry in the situation with the lake they are drowned but someone needs to pray by the edge of the water or something idk 🤷🏻♀️ I just believe all these souls need to be freed in order to rest
They should tear it down. Plain & simple .. this was heartbreaking to hear 😢
I must admit, I would love a tour of the home. And I do believe that KARMA will always catch up to those who cause harm to others. Sooner or later, it will get you.
YESSS, YaYa! Our Ancestors were exemplary and powerful. Thank you for letting it be known!!!
I love your content. ❤ Since October is almost over, there is another story I think you should cover. It's a true story. About Annie Palmer. She was called the white witch of Rose Hall. Dated back in Jamaica during the slavery era. Look into it. The plantation house, which is now a museum, is still standing on the property. People claims it's haunted as well. And that a few people have seen her. Even in the photos.
I wouldn’t go anywhere near that home. What happen to those people is so horrible! I don’t see how any human can do another human being that way!
I was waiting for you to cover this!!!Love your videos keep blessing us sister❤️🥰. Nicolas cage bought that house his career has never been the same. I don’t get how and why someone would buy that house knowing the history ahs covered this coven Angela basset did a excellent job as well as Kathy bates. Much love from Brooklyn nyc.
I read she remove the eyes of her slaves. She was def sick!!!! Sad she got to move away and live her life without consequences. SMH truly a very disturbing story
I would not go inside. I am too sensitive --listening and reading the story send chills throughout my body.
We are not our ancestors stems from lack of knowledge due to the education system my mother is 60 years old September 26th I literally taught her about black history she is still in the mindset that slaves didn’t fight back she’s still learning I say that to say let’s keep in mind how behind some people are thinking wise
I’ve been waiting for this one!
I binged all your latest vids while cleaning today you droppin the good stuff 🤌🏾✨
New subscriber! So happy the algorithm recommended your channel.
You are an amazing story teller! Thank you!
YASSSSSSS Goddess, I love and adore you channel. You have evolved into this powerful Goddess. Keep going and never let anyone hold you back!! Much love from Alabama
This is one of my favorite videos of yours 💜
You are seriously an amazing story teller. Much love for sharing and educating us about our hidden Black history.
I’m ready gurl!
I really enjoy your videos. Really spooky, interesting and mysterious. New subscriber all the way from the UK 🇬🇧 🫶🏾
I recently found your channel, and I love it! New subscriber ❤
i looked her up in highschool when i was in my american history class(black teacher)i believe it was for halloween and it gave me chills we had to tell scary stories that year...her character is depicted in coven
It took me two weeks to mentally prepare for this video! I still was not ready! My heart aches for her victims!
This makes me so nsad and im DEFINATELY not saying im the one but someone needs to go bless and uplift those poor souls
I love your videos! Thank you ✨
I ran into ur page a few days ago and I been stuck every since I love u girl
I definitely would not go inside, I send love and light to ease the pain of the soul trapped there.😢
Thank you for sharing
Her story was portrayed in American horror story , I love Angela Bassett in that series , I am Mexican but I like to learn about the dark history of America.
New follower I love your videos I’m binge watching Ty
Omg you did my recommendation! Thank you goddess
Please do a video on Anne Palmer the white witch of Rose Hall. I am Jamaican growing up I heard a lot of horror stories about her.
I love these haunted stories
Wow thank you I really enjoyed this video.
All the spiritualists are doing haunted history videos and Im here for them all. 😊
Love this story! BTW I got my tiger's eye ankh and my energy trap candle and burning it right now....I love them both Thanks YaYa!❤
I be having to make popcorn listening to these stories 🥰
Last I checked, no one's allowed inside because someone lives there now. The owners won't let ppl come in. It's in the French Quarter so I guess with it being on a main street that makes it hard to block off. To stand outside and know the story is so ominous. The house itself is so unassuming. Great video Yaya!
We, in New Orleans, surely do walk by and drive by that property like it is a regular old building. I didn't know all of that went on! But I'm not surprised. The French Quarter has a lot of history. I would never want to actually live in any of those properties. I could definitely feel a presence while I was working and visiting some of those buildings in the Quarter.
Great job with this.
That house is definitely haunted. I walked by it without realizing it and felt a weird enough vibe for me to cross the street. Many place in New Orleans are haunted, but most of them didn’t feel dark like that house, the whole block it sits on !
Also, Nicholas Cage bought a pyramid crypt next to Marie Laveau’s. Trying to out shine her is why he’s cursed.
Just found your channel and subscribed I love your content! - Deonte
Well...there is no vile inhumane thing that these people haven't done or won't do. Horror is an understatement.
💁🌹🙅👍💯⭐
We are definitely our ancestors. It baffles me that my people endures so much evil for me to be here. Watching AHS is all needed to know how evil she was.
Seen you and bondy! Awesome to know black TH-camrs link
I was excited to see this pop up on my feed cus a character in a book was depicted after her.
I love your channel!!!!!!!! 😊
You never know what you can do or endure until you're going through it. If someone asked me when I was a teenager if I could've endured and went through half of the things I have in my life, I would've said, hell no. I would've lost my damn mind. It only makes you stronger when your abuser thinks he's weakening you, he's actually making you stronger than you ever thought possible. I was lucky enough to be able to escape with my and my children's lives. It wasn't easy and I couldn't speak to my family 9r friends for almost a year. My kids are grown now, I have 4 sons, and two of them are homeowners in their early 20's, and the other 2 started their business together. I'm so proud of them.
I was just explaining this story to my coworkers less than 3 hours ago how freaky is that! ❤❤❤
2 years ago my family and I went to Nola during the summer. And we did the haunted house tour we couldn’t tour the inside like you said but the guide told us the story about it on the outside then he made a joke like if you take a picture and can see a ghost in the picture we’ll pay you for the photo so i actually took a picture of the house and I swear I saw a spirit in the upper window i was showing my cousins they like that’s just the lighting girl like I know what I saw 😂😂
Did you say Mchardys? If so they have a chicken place named that here in New Orleans. I wonder if there’s a connection with the families?
I am my ancestors, wildest dreams….❤
You are a beautiful soul ❤ I loveeee your channel !!! 😊
I literallllyyy just started watching American Horror Story Coven. Perfect timing.
Oooohh so she was like the lady IN American Horror Stories from New Orleans 😮
Never knew the back story with nick Cage wowwww
I think I have said that in times when I am referring to Reacting to situations in THIS day and age. So I guess a better term is we don’t react like our ancestors reacted back then because this is a different time. Back then I’m sure we all would’ve backed down just like our ancestors did because we would not have had a choice. TODAY Some of these Ray to thd cist yt folks will feel these hands.
Damn so my people made them that scared. Just proud to be haitian😊. We do not take shit from anybody.
I wonder what where her family is today? Are they ashamed? I would be🤦🏾♀️. Btw love your channel!
I feel really weird walking just across the street from it. The building is apt now. You should look up the newspaper article about what they witnessed in that place😮
No. I would not want to go inside this property. I would like to see it from across the street, but not inside.
When I say I’m not I’m not as tough as my ancestors yea I would have been dead early they had a lot of mental strength
Why would Nicholas Cage want that house??! Just to say you owned a piece of property where slaves was mistreated??
The energies are very high there, he can do rituals.
I think Alot of whites today really want slavery back they're probably not gonna come out and say it publicly but behind closed doors I think they really feel that way
@@TGUTTAExiT21you took the words out my mouth, harvest energies
It immediately made me think of that man from the 1800s that looks just like him
Nick has been strange for years... of all ppl to want that house Nicholas cage doesn't surprise me one bit. I mean you've heard him speak right?
