different engines? the volkswagen group uses the same engines across the various manufacturers, the 3.0 diesel is shared in the touareg, q5, and the Macan. Same goes for the 2.0l turbo.
I like the review and the valuable info that the next Q5 will be made in Mexico and the fact that the IIHS gave the Q5 a top safety rating on the small overlap crash. Your way of measuring the front leg room is wrong since a larger seat will give you a false reading and a small seat like the Forester would make the room look better so you have to measure the entire seat to the dash instead. I totally agree with you that 7000 $ more for a diesel is too much.
Q5 is getting old these days as you point out and is still eye wateringly expensive for what you get. BMW x3 seems a safer home for your hard earned cash.
It is too old, Audi will change the car by the end of 2016, also it has real problems in it's transmission (search for q5 transmission problems: clutch and mecatronics), also very expensive to maintain if the warranty is out. if you consider buying one, think twice and wait for the new model come otherwise, it's value will drop once the new arrival is announced Q5 owner
Why oh why do north Americans think touch-screen navi is the best? They're much more difficult to use on the move and the fingermarks on the screen... no thanks.
you deserve more subscribers. Awesome review as always!
Thanks, Ivan. One sub at a time, my friend.
I like your video. It's clear, precise, and informative.
Chong Kai Qing Thanks for watching!
Paul thank you for a very nice review. I got my Q5 progressive 2016 today . once again thanks for your review.
Awesome! Enjoy.
Why now? In 6 Months the 2nd Generation will be announced but ok..
Good review, right on the points for family needs
Good review, I really enjoyed it. On the fence about getting a 2015 CPO 2.0 W 17k miles for $33,600
How do you get the seats back up?

My wife thinks that there isn't enough trunk space. Haha.
Better go for the Q7?!
@@FamilyWheels Better not tell her that! It's a bit like the grocery trolley, if you get a bigger trolley you feel the need to fill it up!
@@TheBJW88 Bahaha! Sadly, I know what you're on about.
Great review, I was looking for the forward facing car seat space though also. :-)

antara That's true. I'm interested to see what the new Q5 will bring to the table.
Isn't the x3 more expensive with the same q5 tech features though?
I was thinking the opposite...the X3 seems old and tired, while the Q5 still feels fresh and modern.
agree
Good video thank you.

I have more space inside my Toyota Prius IV.
