Funny how the Chevy Silverado overview he gave said hated the gauges (which they are ugly/cheap looking) but this review he loves them. Looks like GM got to this guy now it's time for his pay back to all their swanky outings. To much going on in the dash, I see many accidents as people focus on attempting to navigate too many things. The cameras are probably the best feature IMHO. You still get a thumbs up for a good review.
What truck should I buy if technology is too overwhelming for my small brain? I don’t like this, I don’t like that. I’m a real man who hates modern conveniences and I use my beard to wash my 2004 Silverado before doing push-ups on hot asphalt. Good review though.

Great review, but it is not enough to convince me to trade my 3.5L EcoBoost Max Tow F150 with FX4 package. That interior looks like it was ripped out of 2003 Sierra and given the "pimp my ride" treatment and then sent out the door. I am impressed with the 6.2L V8, but I would hate to pay 60 cents more per gallon of gas every time I fill up the tank because my EcoBoost runs very nicely on 87 octane.
So I am looking at 2 trucks and would really love to see a review on the 2019 Ram Power Wagon. I have built out and spec'd out the 2019 GMC AT4 and Power Wagon. With both trucks spec'd out fully and the way I want them it would be 66,000 and 70,000. Which one do you think is the more expensive one? What is your thoughts and opinions on which truck you like better? So for me I want a truck that can do all things well and that is from towing and off road! I will be towing a trailer that is either going to be 6 thousand or 9 thousand depends on what I need for my business. BTW love your reviews and how detailed they are. You and TFL are the two I watch for my truck information and comparisons. Thanks Conrad
The tailgate is neat, but it's novelty isn't worth 60k. It feels like GM is trying to hard. The whole truck is just way to busy for me, too many angles, lines, and some sort of fake future brauny look. I like that GM is making a wider range of engines, but an 04 Silverado was THE LAST GM product I will ever own. Ford is the undisputed heavy weight champion of trucks.
Just a personal preference, I have been a GMC Sierra fan all my life but with this generation I prefer the Silverado Trail Boss more then the AT4. Thanks for your outstanding reviews brother.
$66,000 and no motorize head rest? Seriously, I have a couple of questions, number one, do you think that tailgate will hold up to hard use?Second, can you compare the interior roominess of this GMC to a comparable Ford product? A friend of mine told me that the general motors pick up trucks seem a lot tighter than the Ford to do with less room?
The 6.2 and EcoBoost similar power wise but the 6.2 sounds better and it gets better fuel economy. The Hemi is weak compared to the two and is running an 8 speed AT, where GM and Ford are using a 10 speed.
@@mmholling87 Nope. The Ram weighs too much. www.caranddriver.com/reviews/a23707958/2019-ram-1500-crew-cab-4x4-pickup-by-the-numbers/ www.caranddriver.com/reviews/a25016363/2019-chevy-silverado-1500-by-the-numbers/ Same acceleration numbers. 5.7 vs 5.3
Great truck, but the AT4 only comes with a black interior. Whey do the manufacturers insist on putting these soul-sucking, pit-of-darkness, blackety-blackness, summertime-blast-furnace, ass-burning black interiors on anything remotely sporty?
Wrong on unlocking the Ford doors...as you do, I also own a 2017 Super Duty. I can unlock all doors from either of the front doors without doing as you described.

Drove my dad's 1ton 2018 High country 1000ks, in one day, by the end of the day I couldnt wait to get back into my seats. Sure the Gm seats will outlast rams, quality. But the function of the new ones are terrible.

About 50% of our streets in this town either need major repairs or complete replace. Anyway.... I didn't mean to seem angry here....just stinks. Other than that great review on the GMC!
It has never required premium. It has always been recommended but not required. Just like Ram recommends 89 octane in the Ram 5.7 Hemi and Ford recommends premium in the 2.7 and 3.5 Ecoboost engines.

To much going on in the dash, I see many accidents as people focus on attempting to navigate too many things. The cameras are probably the best feature IMHO. You still get a thumbs up for a good review.
What about the tow rating? Did I miss it?
I thought this truck had 20inch rims
Nice truck. Not 66k nice though.
Could you check if a tow and stow hits the tailgate?
I have one and it depends how high you have the adjustment
@@Durataur what about in stowed position?
@@joseluismendoza9916 does not hit in the stowed position, depending on the size of the drop hitch
Thanks
Where was this video taken? Perfect scenery and a perfect truck (for me)..
He lives in Corpus Christi, Tx.
What truck should I buy if technology is too overwhelming for my small brain? I don’t like this, I don’t like that. I’m a real man who hates modern conveniences and I use my beard to wash my 2004 Silverado before doing push-ups on hot asphalt. Good review though.
Looks nice, but The Ford Raptor still king in half ton section
All these lazy features for these young Juul smoking baby men. Bumper and rear tire still work fine for me when climbing into the bed.
Young Juul smoking baby men drive Ram 1500's.
Triggered much?
Not to crazy about the design. I like the previous models much better. I like the dodge and ford mid side trucks much better.
All it’s missing is the 12” display
Does the truck have a factory installed leveling kit like the trail boss?
Yes
That is a nice waterfront drive in Texas you were doing!
Nice video, nice truck! 👍
Alot nicer truck. Than ford or dodge. Yrs later hold way better resale value than all half ton trucks. Accept Toyota. Hold about the same.
LOLOL at the $66k price. It's not even a diesel. My God, can the average working stiff REALLY afford to pay these prices????
They are heavily discounted at dealers. Just put a deposit down on one sticker was 63K and change. Got it for 53K and change.
@@2wheelobsessed - yep, $10k is about the 'standard' discount of these new trucks. They are still way overpriced IMHO, especially when you closely examine the crappy materials.
ChevySS1968 Yea everything’s overpriced these days especially vehicles. If you want a high end loaded up pickup your gonna pay for it. They resell with 100K mi on them for still a decent amount. Shits crazy
Good review and nice truck but... No adaptive cruise control. Why?.. Loaded with technology?..
Gary Blatt mm repair after repair keep it
The older trucks from the 90s and 2000s were real mans trucks. These are grocery getter cars 😂
What can you tow with this truck. I love your videos. I have learned so much. Thank you
Around 9000, they have towing charts
My AT4 crew cab standard box 6.2l is rated at 9600lbs.
He recommends to stay within 6,000 pounds or so, give or take a thousand or so depending on your experience and comfort level with towing.
Well, it’s a Chevy so probably a 48” zero turn lawn mower.
Jesse McDonald I just put a deposit on exactly what you have. How you liking it?
That side bed step doesn't belong on a luxury pickup. Just asking for belt buckles and such to scratch the crap out of the bed side
Everyone knows RAM has the best infotainment system out of all.
Ram also has a lot of issues with it. There been tons of known problems.
Grand Jeep they have the most unreliable infotainment system for sure. Not sure what makes it the best.
Think we are all getting sticker blind these days.
IT DOES NOT MATTER....THE TOYOTA RIDERS WILL NEVER STEP DOWN...VERY SELFISH..SHAME ON THEM!!
The outlet in the bed - Toyota's had that for 2 years as an option. Some of the features are nice but it is just another thing that could go wrong.
The only thing that this GMC has bigger, better is the 6.2 engine. MAYBE.
The 6.2 and EcoBoost similar power wise but the 6.2 sounds better and it gets better fuel economy. The Hemi is weak compared to the two and is running an 8 speed AT, where GM and Ford are using a 10 speed.
@@mmholling87 The Hemi is weak these days. Even a 2019 GM with the 5.3 and 8-speed accelerates as fast as a 2019 Ram with the 5.7.
@@hochhaul the hemi is 395 hp 400 TQ vs 5.3 355 hp 383tq. It seems like the hemi should still be faster.
@@mmholling87 Nope. The Ram weighs too much.

Same acceleration numbers. 5.7 vs 5.3
Great truck, but the AT4 only comes with a black interior. Whey do the manufacturers insist on putting these soul-sucking, pit-of-darkness, blackety-blackness, summertime-blast-furnace, ass-burning black interiors on anything remotely sporty?
All that money and still have cheap plastic fender wells. They should at least color match.
Tempting to trade my 14 in lol.
Wrong on unlocking the Ford doors...as you do, I also own a 2017 Super Duty. I can unlock all doors from either of the front doors without doing as you described.
Currently Gm has the best looking exterior on trucks, what they don't have is great seats. My Titans seats are way nicer. Drove my dad's 1ton 2018 High country 1000ks, in one day, by the end of the day I couldnt wait to get back into my seats. Sure the Gm seats will outlast rams, quality. But the function of the new ones are terrible.
I live in Corpus also and I am ashamed that your viewers had to see one of our most iconic streets and how bad of shape its in. That is Ocean Drive and we may never see it fixed in our life time. About 50% of our streets in this town either need major repairs or complete replace. Anyway.... I didn't mean to seem angry here....just stinks. Other than that great review on the GMC!
Does the 6.2 still require premium fuel? Its a monster for sure.
It has never required premium. It has always been recommended but not required. Just like Ram recommends 89 octane in the Ram 5.7 Hemi and Ford recommends premium in the 2.7 and 3.5 Ecoboost engines.
Great review...enjoyed the video from BTBRV...very nice looking...but not enough to steal my ❤️ away from the F-series.
That GM tick though.. 😓
Sure it costs the same as a house...no automobile is worth that much..too much technology means u can't work on it urself...thumbs down...i have 2001 gmc serria I bought for 3000$ gonna drive it till the wheels fall off
Suzie Wheeler what kinda house can you buy for 60k? There’s not even a repo listed for that where I live, in Kentucky! Not a cheap truck I agree but come on.
They finally fixed the position of the steering wheel, it was a bit offset from the seat in the past. The Duramax option is gonna be something
Ah you said my favorite locking diff. GM has had great diffs through the years my neighbor just bought a Denali same color as your testing, he paid more, but I’ll tell you that’s a nice truck and it’s a rocket ship that 6.2 doesn’t disappoint it’s all pure GM there. I wish I had my old mans 1970 heavy half GMC with a 427 old school vs. new..Lol
Did you show the rear passenger compartment?
Does it tell you when racist cops are near?
Brother, anyone can be racist.... Including folks who think others are. Racism and profiling by skin color or ethnicity is wrong regardless of the person's ethnicity or skin color it's coming from.
Good review but I still think they are really butt ugly truck and ive always got a hitch in my reciever so I'd destroy that tailgate and with gms wavering quality control and temperamental HVAC systems I'm out
Lots of planned obsolescence in all those features. GM's engineering is sub-par at best.
The price omg 😮 !! 🤣🤣🤣
