My thoughts on the video
some parts of this video may seem lower energy then the last as i try to recored all the part to camrea at once - very much not worth it as i then went back and recorded a few section anyway. I should learn about PvP in the game more

got pirate legend in 80 hours of gameplay (first 20-30 hours were just sailing around having no idea what i was doing) but now that i got it i have no motivation to play

I know from experience cause my ship has been sunk for NO REASON on to many occasions where I’m just trying to enjoy the game mind you I had NO loot NO emissary NO quest NO storage crates or supplies people are just d1c ks

It's never brought up, but the pirate legend title actually gives access to those limited time cosmetics from season pass. We did mostly focus on becoming pirate legend to not miss out on flameheart's sword and hat, which look dope (+you get those higher grade captaincy voyages once you reach 50 with each faction, which means faster gold). Legend of the veil sounds fun. Thanks for the other advices, too! :D
Pirate Legend took us around 125 hours (we were a crew of 2, which definitely helps compared to being alone). At some point we gained like the first 15-20 rep with merchants from being in an alliance (they definitely sound like the more painful part of the grind), and we were quite lucky as we were seldom attacked by other players and never met any hackers, which helps.^^
