Thanks. Yes it all changed around 1987. The studios had come under the ownership of Brent Walker who were a property developing company. They sold off around 60% of the studio backlot to Tesco and a huge swathe of the studios were demolished including Sound Stage 5 which doubled as the depot. Thanks heavens for Borehamwood resident and film historian Paul Welsh who set up a Save our Studios campaign which prevented the rest of the studios also being demolished. That which remains has gone on to produce many hit film and TV series.
