    Have a Question my Theremini is not going as low as your pitch and does not seem as loud?

    Let's all just take a moment to appreciate the Trout Mask Replica t-shirt. 🤘

      Was wondering if anyone would notice. Yeah, bought the album when it first came out in 1969! All my friends blocked their ears and thought I was crazy. I still listen to it (when no one's home and I can crank it up LOUD!).

      Hello. Thank you for commenting to me. IF you are thinking about purchasing the Moog Theremini. As you say, it is a very cool theremin. Even though it has received a lot of criticism, I can tell you that if you want really want to maximize everything that it can do, this series of tutorials that are all dedicated to the Theremini will get you there. The tutorials will give you all you need to go from beginner to being an expert at playing it. All you need to do is practice and have fun doing it. If you decide to purchase one (or any other theremin) please stay in touch regarding your progress.

    Thank you so much for your wonderful tutorials. I have a question, apologies if you explained it elsewhere but I have not found that yet. After you finish calibrating, do you move the volume/pitch correction and effect ?

    • @dnteuxurois
      @dnteuxurois  2 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Hi, Mon: First of all, I'm very gratified that you're finding the tutorials useful. As for your question I'm somewhat unsure what you're asking. But if I understand you correctly, (and please contact me again if I've misunderstood), once your Theremini is correctly calibrated, you can do anything you'd like with the pitch correction knob, the effects button and the effect amount knob. Nothing you do will impact the calibration. However, playing with those knobs and buttons the changing the presets will alter the sonic character of the theremin as well as other dynamics. Things will have echo or reverb, some of the sounds are more muted and/or muffled when you change things, but the calibration is unaffected. Finally, the volume knob is nothing to worry about, but be aware that the volume knob has less to do with actual volume than it does with the responsive nature of the smoothness or sharpness of a note when you're playing. Turning the volume knob all the way clockwise gives you a sharper attack response - turning it counterclockwise will result in the response being less definite and more "soupy."
