Haier learned from the GE, now the products quality is higher than GE, good job 👍.
haha i see what you did there
Listening to that chinese boss is eye opening andhow insightful he is!
Globalization leads to innovation and growth. We shouldn’t forget. Haier shows when USA n China come together unimaginable greatness is possible!

@@mohammedfisal7630China good, US bad? 😂 what a deep and articulated analysis.
I remember when working for Eastman Kodak Mexico, trying to separate different manufacturing "companies" was attempted, which just didn't work, maybe because it was only a "virtual" separation and mostly because we reflected the fact that, as a huge corporation, we've simply never valued the final customer's opinion. Now Kodak is practically history.
And digital cameras had nothing to do with their downfall?
Chinese are traders. Ruthless business savvy.
GE value was in its sales and distribution channels and not the brand or physical products themselves.
The value was in its intangible assets!!
Welch DESTROYED GE and set the blueprint for how american manufacturing corporations would self-destruct by being more wall street than the streets of mid-west manufacturing.
Boeing is the present poster child of that.
Most of USA PIB are in its intangible assets
Extraordinary documentary! Great entrepreneur Zhang Ruimin!
A positive outlook on China 👏👏👏 It was about time that we recognize the ingenuity and hard-working qualities of the Chinese people.
No one is mad at the Chinese people, we are mad at the oligarch class of the US that murdered US manufacturing to exploit the slave labor adjacent conditions in China at the expense of literally everyone and the entire planet for the benefit of like 50 ultra wealthy sociopaths.
Back in 2005 we bought a Higher laptop,it still going strong,a bit slow now but it was very good at the time.

I spent a year in Qingdao, 20 years ago, as a student intern and I was amused to see that Haier also owned a restaurant. It was a Mongolian hot pot restaurant on the top floor of a Japanese Jusco supermarket in the city center.
Profound I live in the Caribbean and most of this innovation I have never experienced but from a thought perspective am truly shifted in my appetite for excellence

Haier makes good quality products
Salut haier
I only ever see super cheap more budget type Haier refrigerators at Costco in the USA but in Japan they are in all the big retailers.
The Haier 28 in. 15 cu. ft. Stainless Steel Counter Depth Bottom Freezer Refrigerator (HRB15N3BGS) is $1799.95. Go check the price at your Costco outlet. I hope it's not too "super cheap more budget type" for you.

GE should learn this, never threaten bosses who worked their ways up from the bottom, they knew what they are doing and they know what it means to fight
A lot of Jack Welch and GE’s aura has now declined upon discovery of the issues within GE Capital and his use of it as a P&L manipulation device which led to not build other sustainable businesses.
In 2022, I replaced my 15-year-old GE range with a new GE range. I was very satisfied with my old GE range, but I noticed my new GE range is not as good as the old one. I think the new one use cheaper materials (plastic buttons, thin metal sheet etc.) in order to cut cost. Maybe I should have just repaired the old one.
Good idea. Maybe it'll last another 15 years if you can find the spare parts.
But your old one uses up more electricity so u will end up paying more. U should look for an energy efficient GE. I had a set of GE energy efficient washer and dryer and they work very well. They are the cheapest I could find.
The Japanese appliances brands had gone.
Japanese brands are still good but the price is no good.
rip, japanese brands are almost artisanal in quality and incredible innovation, but most people in the world prefer cheap nowadays.
The price for japan products even failed the European market

They talk about the us dollar as if it's a standard it's NOT it nearly worthless

Old documentary of over 5 years ago. CNA posted this on TH-cam on their website on Sep 19, 2018. Please post only recent info
Haier fridge good quality I used
GE getting out of that business was a pretty smart move. It was clear that margins on appliances were only going to decline while competition was going to increase from Asia. Jet engines and MRI machines are far better.
Who ever comes up with a washer machine who can dry at the same time would be the best
Lowes has them. They are very heavy.
Indians love hier brand ...best ❤

Please, can translations be done as voiceovers and not text caption? Some of use use TH-cam in background and need comeback here to read captions when a foreign language is spoken
Thanks for speaking my mind 😂
Some people might prefer to listen to the voice and tone of the original speaker, as it gives better feel of what is being said. Like some people when watching movies prefer the original soundtrack with subtitles of the translation.
But western world doesnt like competition isnt it.
11:30 is one of the most important part. this explains how some product that came from China are so cheap. 😂
it's the same as how Amazon Return boxes works. but instead of return products.. these are 5th or 6th rated products or some of them are prototype/ unfinished product that was thrown away but the junk shop decided to pack it and sell it anyway for cheaper price.

REFRIGERADORES - FRIGORIFICOS son otra cosa
China's robust manufacturing industry have triggered the expulsion of major foreign firms as they got outcompeted and outpaced.
So, because of the cooperation with German brand Liebherr, their name „Haier“ is the attempt to transfer this word into Chinese English?! So it is pronounced in the same way as „Herr“ and not similar to „higher“, right? Why do Chinese factories and layouters always use those weird oldfashioned „Serif“ character’s sets (e.g. Sans Serif, Times New Roman etc.)? Is this from the British via Hongkong? Nobody over here did use any of those character sets since 1989. Make the progress using Verdana as everybody today!😂

GE failed to see the future of digital technolog.
The future it is not digital technology. But digitalization just helps products function better. It is just a 10% marginal improvement.

Lazy workers destroyed not only companies but countries and they even had a moto " you can't pay me low enough for how much I won't work"
Why focusing on Haier? Most western MSM ignore these two SKorea conglomerates, Samsung and LG. They overwhelmed most Japanese big brands, and they are now the world’s biggest home appliances and TV manufacturers.
If you look at where many LG and Samsung products are made you will find they are MIC, as in "Made In China"..the Chinese are as innovative as the Korean giants. China is a manufacturing giant like no other, S Korea and Japan industry look like dwarfs compared to China, in most of Asia Chinese appliances now dominate where Sanyo, Hitachi and Panasonjc/ National used to be , same with TVs., all this accomplishments within less than 30 years.
@@AuralioCabal-nl8gibut factories (in China, SK) and manufacturers (LG, Haier) are not comparable. The R&D, production management, sales and promotion etc. are accountable by the companies, and the credit should go to the companies when compared to other companies.
Nevertheless, I read from different sources that LG Electronics was no.1 home appliance manufacturer in 2022 with $66bn sales; while Haier was no.1 in 2023 with $35bn sales; Midea made ~$53bn sales in 2023 (though not all from home appliances). Something is off but I don’t have time to dive in.
They don’t ignore them . Because Samsung and leg are about half of South Korea economy so when talking about “South Korea” you are just talking about these two .
In 5 years those s korea giants will be left behind!!
Chinese are business machines in mind!! Plus massive economies of scale
@@AuralioCabal-nl8giNo longer. Samsung & LG gradually had moved its production facilities out from China.

The Chinese were always very industrious and entrepreneurs and merchants, they now own most of the US brands and manufacture them in China, chances are even your S.Korean brands of LG and Samsung products are Made in China, even your Japanese auto has parts that are China sourced, so too European brands that have factories in China. China also has dreams of Auto world domination in BEVs, and they are on track for that by YEAR 2030.
RUSSIA is now considered " Little Brother" by the Chinese, Both countries are TOTALITARIAN STATES/REGIMES with Russia a soon to be a FAILED STATE with its War with Ukraine. Question is will China invade Taiwan to force reunification and then cause a World War, and then there is the SCSeas claim of China tied in with that.We are facing interesting times.
