I actually just started and am on 0.005. I just started a week ago and so far so good. I know my strength is super low but if all says fine I will see about going stronger in a few weeks. I am getting it from Curology. Thanks for the great videos! I am finding them informative and helpful.
Your hair is BOMB..pretty sure its genetics too but its legit like a barbie doll hair..soo shiny and healthy..do u do anything specific?ah and maybe let us know what made u decide to go for Retin-a..
Oh my gosh that is SO nice of you to say! I actually went through a phase during my first pregnancy where my hair was really dry and damaged, so much so that I completely stopped bleaching it for a full 2 years and then also cut it shorter (above the shoulders) to cut all the only hair off. I wash my hair every 3 days, have it highlighted every 8 weeks (only the roots and every 6 months my stylist brings the bleach through to my ends to keep consistent color). Only doing the root highlight touch up is a big part of how I keep my hair healthy! Additionally, I always do a really blunt cut (i.e. no layering). This really helps my hair stay thick and healthy all the way through to the ends. I use RedKen Color Extend Blondage for my shampoo and Honest conditioner that I get in the baby isle (mine is the sweet almond fragrance one). I use Moroccan oil on my ends when my hair is damp out of the shower. I use a dyson hair dryer and ghd platinum straightener (usually I only blow dry and style my hair once a week). Thank you so much for the comment and question!
Oh and also for your second question - I decided to start using tretinoin (Retin A) for my adult hormonal acne and preventative aging. I wanted something topically that could possibly help with both of those things, and my dermatologist recommended it!
Hope your channel succeeds Jenna :) your long response is appreciated..you shine bright in this video..and again love love love love ur hair..legit like a barbie doll hair with the bangs..stay warm..bless you
Nope! I did have a halo laser treatment and was on a month of minocycline a couple months prior to starting retin a - so I think both of those things contributed to improvement in my acne situation that was happening on my chin and jaw line.
did u consult to a doctor prior to starting off application? is it necessary? im too excited to start the journey, ive done my research for couple weeks now. thx
At my halo laser appt about 4 months ago (at my derm’s office) I just asked to have a 0.025% retin-a prescription filled. My derm filled a year’s worth of it for me and on the prescription instructions it says to use every night, but the nurse who did my laser treatment said to wait 8 weeks post laser treatment until my first application and to also build up to every night gradually, as my skin would tolerate. I have another appt with my derm at the end of April to check in on how the retin-a application is going and at that time I am going to ask him if I should increase to the 0.05% strength :)
I put a layer of Vaseline on the eye area for applying the tret around the eyes
Your brave. Right after you wash your face? Thay say makes it harsher and more irritation. I was told to wait at least 20 min for dry skin.

Hey Lisa! There is nothing wrong with taking it slow - that is probably the smartest way to go. I am excited for you 💗
Wish you had pics of the nights
That is a great idea! For my week 2 update I will include a video of me applying the tretinoin cream and also some close ups of my skin!
Did you use it every night

We’re you using Differin beforehand?
