    To be pretty fair, it is unlikely that chat GPT (specially the free version, which uses an outdated engine) remembers conversations with OTHER users, as it would be way too computationally expensive to give it such capabilities, and it would be one of the biggest privacy violations to ever happen. Instead, when prompted "did you write this" it will try to answer based on its model rather than its memory. Now, with GPT 4, it is very likely that chat gpt can, in fact, recognize its own writing STYLE, as it is now part of its training model.
    Anyway, I do recognize that using AI of any kind to do your homework damages your academic integrity and limits your ability to create and think for yourself. You can use AI to help you and give you a starting point on a topic you know nothing about, but you shouldn't write the entire thing with AI. Remember, gpt is supposed to be the copilot, not the pilot

    • @Big-Chungus21
      @Big-Chungus21 ปีที่แล้ว

      Indeed, I find that the best way to learn something is to explain it to myself. My Computer Science teacher gave us homework that would consist of explaining in our own words what each concept from a topic meant and how it worked. We were allowed to add images and format it in any way we want, while also telling us to make it useful for revision. By itself it isnt a difficult thing to do, but it makes you want to explain it clearly as possible in a way that you yourself can understand fully.
      Sometimes you need to explain something in your own words in order to know what that means, because people just think of things in different ways. ChatGPT does not know how you think about a concept, and therefore cannot explain something in a way you are guaranteed to both understand and remember. Plus it doesnt even guarantee that you looked at said topic in the first place, or that ChatGPTs explanation is 100% correct.
      It was this that made me want to do the homeworks, because they doubled as homework and creating revision resources. I felt that by putting a lot of time into these i was making something useful, which i was. My teacher also said the exact same thing - if you copied the notes from the internet, youre just cheating yourself. Your grade isnt based off of your homeworks, and the teacher wont be angry if you dont complete it, you will just be left not fully understanding the topic.

    not true. the teacher would have to be in the same chat/conversation the student was in when he prompted GPT. Otherwise, chatgpt will say it hasn't any memory of writing this, word for word, because its memory doesn't work cross-chats... This vid is to discredit it and promote another service. try another approach, fam 🤝

    Another tip is to, believe or not, use Google Translate:
    Input the text from the text's language (let's say it's English) to any language of your preference (I recommend Spanish, German, Italian, French, or Portuguese so it doesn't mess up the text too much)
    ... copy the result, translate it back to english, copy that result, and translate it to the language of your choice again and then to english again. If it hasn't changed enough just keep translating it back and forth a few more times and if even that doesn't work, just add some filler to the text or search for synonyms of some words. Always worked for me specially in really long texts.

    ChatGPT, are you able to identify your previous outputs given on any formats (scripts, essays, poems, etc)?
    As an AI language model, I don't have the ability to recognize or identify my own previous outputs. My responses are generated based on the input I receive at the moment and are not stored for future reference. However, I can be programmed to save the output I generate in different formats for later analysis or reference.
