Recipient Spotlight: Covenant House California

As a non-profit shelter that provides support for youth experiencing homelessness, ages 18-24, Covenant House California provides a full continuum of services to meet the physical, emotional, educational, vocational, and spiritual well-being of young people, in order to provide them with the best chance for success in independence.
They believe that every young person in California deserves shelter, food, clothing, education … and most importantly, to be loved.
Our collaboration began with their team visiting our Community Dinner and helping with essential items distribution. This quickly grew into a mutually beneficial partnership when they started receiving weekly donations of food from Hollywood Food Coalition to support their meal program. As Anthony Conley, Director of Supportive Services, notes, the cost of fresh ingredients is now one less concern, enabling their team to allocate those savings toward direct services.
