Hi Joe! I love watching your videos because I am interested in pursuing the career paths you have had and do. Your positive spirit radiates and is inspiring:)!! I saw that you went to GCU to pursue a degree. I am interested in pursuing a degree at GCU called "communications with an emphasis in broadcasting and new media." I was wondering if you know if you can become an anchor for the news or a reporter for entertainment and lifestyle with a degree like that. Or do I need to get a journalism degree? I would like to have multiple avenues of careers with my degree though, with communications like you do. Just curious because I see you went to GCU! Thank you so much :)
Hi Amelia and thank you so much for those kind words. Yes, I graduated from GCU with a master's degree in organizational leadership and another master's degree in communications with an emphasis in Education. You can certainly use that degree to pursue a career in the broadcasting industry rather it be news anchoring and/or entertainment lifestyle reporting. I was able to become a news reporter, anchor, and entertainment/lifestyle personality with just a bachelor's degree in mass communications. Thank you again for tuning into my videos. Hey! Do you have to submit any reports to management for your events? If so, may I ask what program do you use?
