Winter really does that to you, but for me and many others summer isn't better. Polar day comes around and even if it doesn't reach, it will effect the skies. For me, I can't do anything may-july. And 1 clear night per week also sounds like a treat, once a month is good enough for me. But clear skies :)
Nice to see you back, Tanner. Yup, certainly looks cold there. On the other hand, the colder the air, the less moisture it can hold, and if it is clear, the seeing should be great (as long as you're not holding on to the scope and shivering! ha). One question ... on your IMX294, is there any amp glow? I have an older version of the 294 (Altair Astro Hypercam 294C) and there is a signification amount of amp-glow on one of the sides of the image. Here's to warmer and clear weather for you. - Patrick -
Yeah, there’s some amp glow, but it is easily removed if you make a darks library when you get the camera. I’ve been using the same darks for stacking my images since June, I just kept everything the same in terms of temperature and filter and it gets rid of them completely with no issues. The rotation doesn’t matter either because the camera has amp glow in certain areas so you can rotate it any way and the darks will calibrate it out just fine!
Hi Tanner great video and storyline again you video's just keep getting better, very nice image and editing from you new camera looking forward to seeing you more of your work, thanks for taking the time to make these video
Good video - Very interesting and nice setup there.
Beautiful final image--well done! Clear skies, Matt
Glad you enjoyed it. Thanks dude!

In the spring things open up for me along with summer but then fall and winter can turn into a lost cause :(

Outstanding, Astrotan! Very educational as always and great photos at the end. Keep up the great work.
