How was a 'dummy' able to qualify to make night carrier landings, considered one of the most difficult activities on the planet? 8. How was a 'dummy' able to qualify as a Launch Officer? 9. How was a 'dummy' able to qualify as an LSO (Landing Safety Officer)? 10. How was a 'dummy' able to qualify as a Flight Deck Safety Officer? 11. How was a 'dummy' able to become an instructor? 12. How was a 'dummy' able to master hundreds of hand signals/commands/ codes needed to pilot a naval aircraft from a carrier?| 13.
