  • How do you clean a blow dryer brush that you can't soak it in water? I was able to get my old Revlon One-Step Volumizer Hair dryer to look brand-new again. Beware...this is a dirty job, but soooo rewarding.

      My sister has the CHI blowout brush and it is removable but it comes off when I try to brush my hair through. I have thin, frizzy, curly hair and it does not stick as good as the revlon. My sister has thick, long, course hair and it doesn’t run through her hair either. I’m guessing it’s because it’s detachable, so I love that this isn’t detachable. The downside is that it is hard to clean. I might just get the shark flex and try that out.

    I could not believe how new mine looks now and how incredibly dirty it was! It was so easy - I used a vinegar based shampoo I had and it worked like a charm. I use this dryer at least 5 times a week and had noticed it was leaving little white flecks at times I knew that wasn’t from my scalp. I had used the little tool it comes with but thought there had to be a better way and then I found your video! Thank you so much!

    I have had this drier for a few months, but I don't use it every day. But when mine needed to be cleaned, the first thing I did was vacuum it with just the hose of my vacuum. Once all the hair was out, I put it in that same solution of shampoo and warm water, but in a tall glass, filled only as tall as the top of the bristles. After soaking, scrubbing it off was very quick!

    Thank you for this video! I was preparing mine to give to someone in need and was looking to see of the intake screen was removable to clean because mine wouldn’t budge. Then after removing hair (thanks for the scissors tip!) I was just going to wipe down with alcohol. Firstly, a toothbrush made quick work of cleaning out the screen! Secondly…OMG!…I had no idea how much dirt was on it. To make it quicker, I used my makeup brush spray and it worked wonderfully. I held it upside down over the sink and went to work. It looks brand new! Wow. Thank you , again!

Use a tail side of a rattail comb and a clean generic toothbrush just for this.I don’t recall you saying make sure the cord is unplugged when you clean and rinse the brush. You have to say it multiple times. Also, I would keep the cord side pointed up as much as possible, to keep water from dripping into the motor in & near the handle. Thanks!!

    I bought it also. Even on the low setting it was too hot. It burnt my hair and it started to break. I had pretty thick hair. It needs more heat heat settings. I threw mine away. 8(.

      I hear you on that. My hair can handle it. They absolutely need to make a cooler setting.

    I've only ever used mine on low and the longer bristles are bent to the side...like they're melted. Anyone else have that problem?

    • @newnavut
      @newnavut ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I had that problem with the first one I owned (first one wasn’t Revlon and it eventually stopped working). What I do now is when I’m done using it, I put it in a spot where the bristles aren’t touching anything. I think they get bent from the dryer being laid down on stuff.

    Do you have any advice on how to keep the bristles from bending? Particularly the bristles on the sides with the stiff and softer bristle complexes. I’ve had my brush for about a year but the majority are bend almost entirely sideways now. About to get a new one but I’m hoping I can keep this from happening again (or at least delay it longer haha).
    Ps. I know you said you do videos for older crowds but I just turned 30 and love this video. Thank you for posting 🥰.

      30 year olds are welcome too 😉. Sadly, I don’t have any advice for that. Mine hasn’t done that. 🤷‍♀️

      @ 4sugarsweet do you have thicker hair ? Her hair looks a bit more on the fine side which is probably why hers hasn’t done that . I have curly hair and mines is the same way but I have no other way of getting my hair dry without that eventually happening . Seems to me they need stronger bristles for more thick hair

    I have an older model that you could remove the brush head for cleaning, also the ability to regulate the temp and the fan hi/low. Just don’t make ‘em like they used too.

    How do you clean the bottom net mesh part? Mine is filled with dust and using a tweezer is breaking the mesh netting :(

    I just turned my on and used it for 3 minutes and when I touhed the top part, it burned my fingers in 3 places. It was sooo hot to the touch even after I unplugged it. I believe this has been recalled and am trying to figure it out now...BTW..I watched your video and it is much easier to get the hair out using a comb ...🙂
