we now have an updated supercut version of this video, which combines our critique of Motorsport into one giant video posted here! th-cam.com/video/rH6B9OMsr9E/w-d-xo.htmlsi=TEJ_cmLlhdX519I6
My biggest complaint is that the roads keep getting wider, longer, and more obstacles become breakable. You almost never have to lift off the throttle in anything under A class anymore because it's all designed to be easy in X class
Issue is: that's far from the truth and realistic road size results in another problem. Motorfest.. the roads are WAY too thin for how unresponsive the controls are. In Forza it's near impossible to do a stint without hitting a sign or pole along the way because that's where the best line is. If roads were thinner itd be more of a bumper car fest single player and online than Forza already is
@@XxWarmancxX I haven't played Motorfest specifically because what I've seen looks far too wide. Forza has an incredible handing model, it can easily deal with thinner roads, and I've made event labs that do just that. The reason you still hit things is because they're so long that you end up going so fast, so when the occasional 90° turn comes along it's a lot harder to nail it. Besides, you only really struggle to avoid things in S2 and X class. The two top classes in the game. They SHOULD be a challenge to drive, but making the roads so accommodating to them results in A and even S1 feeling really slow. If a map is designed for A or S1, it makes slower cars feel as fast as they are, and hypercars as monstrous as they should be
The wide roads of motorfest killed it for me too. No real struggle and designed to be easy to stay in the lane. Horizon 5 have some narrow roads, wich are great, but the wide ones are twice the width of a normal road irl. Its always a good time playing the narrower roads in Assetto, wrc and dirt rally. More adrenaline and sense of speed. Just hope the open world games can have more difficult roads. And where is the traffic? Just a few cars here and there..
Couldn’t agree more. I really wanted to love Horizon 5 and then kept not wanting to play and couldn’t put my finger on why. I never felt that in FH3 or FH4 but FH5 just didn’t excite me at all.
That franchise changed my life. Literally. It Influenced my music taste, my love for cars, gave me amazing memories and, believe or not, was a main factor in my relationship, that almost has 5 years by now. Unfortunately, I think horizon 5 is a lot more about a generic annual forza horizon than a solid game. I loved Horizon 4, but the last one that really impressed me was Horizon 3.
I'd also like to add they really didn't do Mexican car culture justice, instead of putting in air cooled VWs and pick up trucks, they decided to suck off the Chinese instead. Modern gaming moment.
Impressive work was put into this, I hope it gets enough reach to make the next horizon games better. We need to go back to the FH2 Era. Now that PGG has serious competition, it might happen again.
Thank you 2 to let me and others be part of the video. I really wish as a community we get ourselves heard and make Forza Horizon return to it's former glory. Speaking of, I encourage everyone to post and participate in the Suggestions Hub. It will be better if us, as community, get together and let everyone at Forza what we want for the future.
Yeah, FH2 was a very special experience for me with FH1 right behind it. Something about the vibe of both of those games just hits like a truck. The music and atmosphere of FH2 was just unlike anything I've ever felt in a video game, let alone racing game. I can't even put it into words how I felt when playing it. FH3 was good in terms of content and stuff to do but didn't hit the same as the first two games, 4 is where things began to go downhill for me and 5.....ugh.
@@ImmobilisDignitas I 1000% agree. Every Spring I go thru a FH2 phase, either playing it or listening to the sound track - NFS 2015 also had that same indescribable "atmosphere effect" on me, and every fall I go on a nostalgia trip
@@ImmobilisDignitasfor me Forza Horizon 5 is absolutely bad yet Luke Reilly, the famous IGN racing game reviewer gave FH5 a perfect 10 like FH4. Ridiculous!
Just a disclaimer to everyone who wants to leave a comment, please do not harass any people mentioned in this video, if you have a differing opinion to someone featured, please discuss it in a civil manner with respect to the other person, thank you.
You can tell that PGG wasn't really trying anymore just by the menu screen. In all of the previous Horizon games menu screen, they would feature some of the new mechanics that was introduced in the respective game (FH2 introduced new weather systems, FH3 introduced bodykits and different biomes, FH4 introduced the season) but FH5 they just show you the empty landscape of Mexico instead. One other small thing about the menu screen is that the main cover car would usually be the first car you would see, in 5 it's the last screen before it loops back.
@@danifit24this is more like Xbox 360 game rather than Xbox Series X game on Forza Horizon 5 the same way the Forza Motorsport 8 plays like Forza Motorsport 2005.
Mike Brown didn't want to Emphasise the Cars, he wanted to Emphasise the map as his prime focus was Battle Royale :( thank goodness he quit/possibly got given the Boot as he was the one that was Ruining Horizon!
Naming your character drake is the perfect analogy for the series Has been here for 10 years, the early stuff was pretty good, by now it’s just throwing stuff at us that we don’t know who cares about but is stupidly successful regardless
Masterfully written and brilliantly made! Y’all did an amazing job on this critique. Also, 10 hours in the eliminator, holy crap! I hope serp’s therapist is ready for that.
As a Brazilian, shoutout to CaptainKoosh. I know exactly how it is to have your culture misrepresented. And yes, those spainglish lines were PAINFUL, jesus.
@@CaptainKooshQuestion: what are your general thoughts on the future? I agreed on the FH5 language cringe. I'm not Mexican, but i did wonder if y'all would find it offensive, as I found it a bit off and cringey. As an Aussie, I felt FH3 skirted it nicely with a kind of laid back ocka Aussie bloke - it tended to work and it wasnt cringe dialogue. He felt like a mate. Not an excited voice actor who just won the lotto. Is the future perhaps moving "away from the country concept?" Maybe just creating their own festival biomes where they aren't limited to one country set and avoid making horribly cringe dialogue? Maybe that's too far. I'm not sure. Countries are great platform, I suppose.
@@LooterUniverse I'm not the one who you're asking but in this case it's not that it offends people, just that it's cringeworthy. It's clear they don't care about Mexican culture, they just want the bonus points for featuring an exotic location, otherwise they would've put effort into bringing Mexican car culture into the game. I'm Brazilian and I'm sure if they were to make a Horizon set in here they would blow it big time looking how they treated México. Most of the embarrassing stuff comes from the fact they are dumbing down every line of dialogue to be as inoffensive as humanly possible, and as you mentioned, it wasn't bad in FH3. There the characters behaved as you'd expect instead of the playground teachers from FH5 trying to be quirky and hype you up every 5 seconds.
It is Sadly very difficult to do a Story in Horizon now, as Microsoft *Mandated* a PEGI 3/ESRB E Rating for all Future Forza Games back in 2019, it needs a very Careful Balance of the Needs of a Dark and Powerful Story, and the Requirements of the Strictest Age Ratings out there, this, although it Can be Done, Requires a *Professional Screenwriter* , as it Certainly cannot be done, as FH5 was, in house by the Developers Themselves (why it is so Cringey and Amateurish, because it was Written by People who have *never* Written a Game Dialogue Screenplay Before! ) as they just would not know how to balance the two , however, the best Screenwriters for that Balance tend to be those who Wrote for the Golden Age of Saturday Morning Cartoons, back in the Heydays of the Marvel Animated Universe (X-Men The Animated Series) and Detective Comics Animated Universe (Batman The Animated Series/The New Batman Adventures/Batman Beyond) back in the Early to mid 1990's, these Writers charge an Absolute Fortune however, and I doubt Microsoft would Greenlight that Expense, I feel Microsoft would be more likely to Force a Massive Saving in Money by Ordering "No Story, no Cutscenes, and all Dialogue to be Written and Voiced by Artificial Intelligence" instead.
delete the story and let people just race FFS....stop yapping and let me go FFS! this is why I moved on from Forza as a whole also cus my disc drive broke and I can't play Forza 5 or 6 cus those are on disc.....they're also delisted from the store along with al the games pre horizon 4....what a frakking joke! and as sad as it is, I'd rather play crew 2 or 3 at this point....if I was forced to play open world racing but I'd probably just jump on Grid Legends again.... Forza as a whole is a husk of what it used to be....
I've only just restarted an old FH3 save yesterday, and I already agree with your opening points. Sure, FH3 ventured into the first "every one wins, you're the best! Go you!" territory, and it arguably undoes some of FH2's greatness. But it's host is actually bearable (and often humorous) ahem FH4/5!! And it's Australian biomes are stunning, interesting, unique and varied all within the one map. In short, it's been a real joy going back to FH3 after hundreds of hours in FH5. FH3 is simply a stunning and well designed game. Great video!!
Agreed. FH3 is my 'safe' Horizon after I'm done grinding FH5's seasonals for the week. It's frustrating because I don't even want to play the base game of FH5 once I've finished seasonals, so going to FH3 feels so calming and freeing since there's no weekly 'homework' to have to do.
@@alexandermoore2982 it's telling isn't it? Heck even the opening menu and music. The wipe animations at the race end. The environments. The little detail on suburban houses, the rubbish bins and how they destruct. It just works. It's the whole package. I can't put my finger on one thing.
@@alexandermoore2982 there is no weekly homework in fh5 either, if you choose not to collect the festival playlist cars. Even without them, fh5 has a bigger car list than 3. Besides Fh3 is discontinued so that’s why there is no weekly events in it.
@@horvathr95But there's no way to ever get them in the future unless they return to the playlist (which again, you have to play to get) rarely, if even at all. FH4 had the Backstage Pass which was great because you could earn passes to get the cars later. Also the rare cars would show up more often in Forzathon Shop. I'm still waiting for the Galant and Patrol to come back since I missed them months ago.
A big issue that I see on the map is that the city is like historical only, we don't have a big modern city that we have in Mexico in real life... It is too empty as well, should have more car's in traffic. Great review.
I personally loved the story in Horizon 1. I liked having a goal and trying to achieve it. As far as customization, horizon 5 takes the cake. The creative hub with some really dope tracks is hard to beat. But having antagonists to beat and a story to follow was really entertaining to me.
Just as I about to end my youtube binge watch, this 2 hour masterpiece dropped 😵💫. Haven't watched it yet but I'm sure it's gonna be one hell of a video.
I live in Canada. I have snow on the road like 6 months of the year. I like snow. I was rather upset there was now more snow because of Mexico. I went back to 4.
My biggest complaint was being forced to drive the Mustang Mach E several times in the missions. I despise the very concept of that cars existence with a burning passion, and yet was forced to drive it in multiple story championships... And the entire time i had to listen to very obviously payed for Mach-E advertisements hyping it like its the next coming of christ. Once the game inevitably threw that car in my face for free, i spent the next hour with damage on throwing it off every cliff i could. Then quite playing for months. For me, being forced to drive that insult to car culture was as bad as the terrible AI or a McLaren Senna being an excellent rally car.
@ultraviolet_channel Imagine designing a SPORTS MUSCLE CAR mold. Only to be used for a SUV family car. I'd be triggered too if a Camaro was turned into a family SUV wagon
I really enjoyed the grind you would have to enjoy in part Forza Horizons. In FH3 I remember having to leave the festival sites and go out and do a race to get money and upgrade my engine. Now in FH5, all I have to do is leave my house, do a wheelspin, and boom I now have 200k more dollars, and I didn’t even have to drive! Progression in older games was so much better..
I honestly didn't expect your "return" to racing game reviews, hopefully the reception to this review is a lot chiller than the previous ones. Horizon 5 after hours of playing still feels like a DLC to 4
i've been intending to make a very long and very detailed analysis of fh5 of my own, but between you and whitelight my idea is pretty much obsolete. great job, very succinct.
Glad to see you closed the "FH5" arc so to say. Going from previous videos I wanted to see what you would think of the game finally "finished" with all it's DLC. A video this long must have taken forever to make. But I'm sure many are glad you two took the time to make this and address the games issues. Too many 10/10s has made fans and PGG blind to just what made these games special to begin with. It really breaks my heart too, as a Mexican, it sucks when I see videos say "Mexico is boring" and talk about how the old games brought their settings to life, and seeing this game be the most mid of the series is a huge bummer. Mexico deserves better Thanks for reading the comment. Looking forward to the next video!
I also get frustrated with many of the "Mexico is a bad setting" comments cause I've seen what some of the best mexico has to offer looks like and its stunning, I honestly think it all comes from FH5s map being so dull that that's the impression people get of real mexico too
@@serperior2264 All because of an *incompetent* team leader (Mike Brown), who has openly admitted to not actually even liking Cars, ordered the map designed with supporting Car Battle Royale as its one and *only* function , thus requiring it to be utterly featureless!
Just finished the video and wow. Everyone involved had done this brilliantly, fantastic writing with great points. On a different note, I hope PGG just releases something genuinely great and complete at launch again.
Thank you making this critique video constructive and fair as possible! Despite all of the complaints and shortcomings mentioned in the video, I am at least grateful that FH5 right now is bringing new contents outside of new cars the community has been begging on and the new devs bringing them to the table and listening to them. And hopefully, this is a sign of hope that we get to see this trend of positives once the new Horizon game releases.
Plus, maybe the competition the Crew Motorfest and Test Drive: Solar Crown will provide to FH5 will finally wake Playground up to make Horizon better. I've played the newest Crew game and while the janky physics of the game can't hold a candle to Forza and the dialogues aren't really much of an improvement, the playlists are far more engaging than the ones in Horizon 5, and the festival in Oahu is far more livelier than FH5. For example- Donut Media's playlist in Motorfest seem to have had more effort put in than theirs in Horizon 5, the graphics is far more colorful, picking cars is a lot more exciting since they're in a showroom inside the festival site and there's actual acted cutscenes in some playlists(like the Japanese tuner one).
For FH6, I want to see part of the map focus on highways and interchanges. Imagine having to maintain speed around a cloverleaf or jockey for position in between exits 25 and 26 before diving off the freeway and back onto surface streets, or a challenge where you have to navigate the maze of city streets and highway exits to get to a specific point on the map.
The biggest problem with FH5's campaign is that the initial drive is literally the maximum, the pinnacle of emotions you can get out of this game. That initial drive could be without any problem a final showcase event in that game
Weather could've returned from FH4. Maybe have storms, massive rain storms, etc. be way more common during some seasons. So like 1 week deserts would be filled with sand storms, another week could have a bunch of rain storms in the jungle, etc.
This will be the 6 best hours of this month. Why 6? Because i will watch the video now for 2 hours and i am sure i will come back to it multiple times. I love Horizon. No series has playtime anywhere close to Horizon for me. But i am not happy with the current state and i love to see a constuctive criticism. Thank you for that.
Forza is currently becoming less and less a game and more of a building platform for the community, in the same way as BeamNG or Asetto Corsa. Great physics, but an empty game
My problem with the cars in 4 and 5 is that new cars are always linked to battle pass events So if you miss one good luck finding it again This in my opinion is the worst aspect that absolutely detracted me from the game
I agree, having to grind the game to get 20 million so I could buy a 2023 Nissan Z from the auction house was extremely obnoxious, just because I missed the event
I was super excited when I saw the Lucid Air Sapphire get added to FH5 then I remembered it would be locked behind the live service crap. There’s a reason I still play FH2 almost religiously lmao
As someone that is mexican and is close to Guanajuato, if its not raining its very brown, and the reason why many people complain abt Guanajuato city is beacuse they only chose the "rich areas", bc they dont want to show houses made of literally dirt brick (Adobe that its the name of the dirt brick) and bc the map of FH5 isn't Mexico, it just a union of different states of the country mixed badly, to be exact its baja California, Quintana Roo, and Guanajuato, also no real cities bc they are really huge and they basically are a generic open world game, and theres no narcos so 0/10 Jokes aside, it just the rural areas of Mexico with they are really boring, even from a mexican like me. That's why i prefer FH4, bc I got my cars and it has a better vibe and it represents the culture Meanwhile, FH5 its a generic stereotypical and racist in some cases if what United States people think abt Mexico, just desert and narcos. For me Forza horizon 5 is the Counter Strike 2 of aussie Racing Cars games
My list of FH games from best to last: #1. FH1 #2. FH2 #3.FH3 #4.FH4 #5.FH5 They have literally gotten worse and worse with time... more features but less feeling
Was watching this in the background while playing fh5. Right after I got both cars from this week's playlist I got off to focus on the vid because it was more interesting.
Within the first week of FH5 coming out, I theorized it was rushed out to keep the Forza brand active while the new Forza Motorsport was in development hell (and I didn't even start to dislike it until a month in.) I still believe that.
If there are two big issues i have regarding horizon 5 and some other games, it's too friendly and lacks motivation. The catering to a bigger audience makes the game feel like they say and do anything to make you happy. Super and hypercars should honestly be something you unlock after reaching at least the second half of "story" mode if not later. Having a goal to beat a rival or a grand race between you and the best to end the story would make the story more motivating to finish. Having certain in game characters with different personalities like the person you hate and want to win against, a funny down to earth character etc... you get my point. This feels like a game that only gives you positives and no struggle at all. There are other things but these two things are the first that comes to mind.
An amazing video! 100% agree One thing I'd add is that the content model they imposed on themselves basically kills any chance for a large or mid scale addition to the map. There simply isn't any logical reason to develop anything meaningful if it's going to be in the game for only a month or worse a week like the pathfinder challanges or those small obstacle courses in season ehen they added Rivian. It's painful to see this "evolving" world kill any chance for actual evolution of the game map and content. It's also extremely saddening to see Motorsport 8, instead of learning from the mistakes of FH live service, lean into it even harder.
Very good video!!! I remember when I played the game for the first time and expected a better Horizon 3 while getting an even more soulless, uninspired piece of media more akin to another generation of Microsoft Office than a game to be enjoyed. And then I checked the reviews and.... Yep, 10/10! Beautiful game with no risk, innovation, danger, creativity... Thanks to you both for speaking the truth about Horizon
Just to summ this up: If FH5 where the RB19 in F1, you were promised Max Verstappen and we got Sergio Perez (just to stay in Mexican style). FM is on par with Mazespin with it's last version.
I'm going to say this, I feel my love for FH slipping because of the lack of care PGG took towards racing and car enthusiasts. But when you mentioned the expansion 2, my soul ache. How and why did they think more of the main dirt map is what people wanted?
My biggest complaint is the cars should be updated and your collection should transfer with your account to the next Horizon game.. you are so right about the re- used old cars!!! Wake up Developer's and make a game with real new content and cars!!!😢😮
Honestly when it came to DLC, i have a Eliminator-esque theory that you proposed. Since in the previous games, the first DLC was always (i think) a "realistic" DLC and the second was more fun, i think their realistic DLC was planned to be big but got either cabcelled or shelved. That would explain the delay, why the expansion came out around the time the second expanison usually comes out in prevous games and, why the second expansion felt so half-assed
I remembered when you was able to watch Netflix with your friends in a theater like setting with your avitar after playing midnight club and forza. Oh i miss those times
41:03 - When I picked up horizon 5 (well after launch, like a few months ago) I was happy to have options at first... Then I realized that I had no reason to care, no journey, and I already had some of the fastest cars around (or could easily get them)... Doesn't help that I had some of the DLC packs, or deluxe edition, or whatever. I fell in love with horizon on 2/3 on someone else's xbox that I played for an entire weekend straight. 5 was my first time owning a forza game, and I was hyped, but it felt gutted and more of a chore.
Thank you for this excellent summary. I can fully agree with everything you have mentioned. However, I skipped the multiplayer chapter because I don't use this mode.
I really wanted to enjoy the game, especially after spending £80 on it and even playing it the minute it released but I just can't. I spent about 250 hours in the first couple of months and I have barely played it since. I've played every horizon game and put thousands of hours into each except fh5 which just feels too boring and lonely to play compared to it's predecessors. It's honestly insulting how bad the game is after spending £80 on it and it literally makes me feel bad for not playing because of the money I spent on it. I really hope they can bring back the original horizon formula for fh6 and make it a genuinely good game.
💥 Ultraviolet, you've just unleashed an absolute demolition derby of a critique with this 2-hour epic takedown of Forza Horizon 5! 🚗💨 👏 Kudos to you for fearlessly diving into the game's flaws and shortcomings, and laying them all bare for the world to see. 🙌 Sometimes, it takes a passionate critic to point out where even the most beloved franchises fall short. 🌄 Mexico might be stunning, but your critique has me questioning if FH5's beauty is just skin deep. Your analysis of the game's graphics, despite the initial dazzle, reveals cracks in the facade that I hadn't noticed before. 🤔 🚘 The gameplay breakdown exposed the game's handling issues, lackluster car roster, and underwhelming customization options. It's high time someone said it like it is! 📢 😂 And let's not forget the humor! Your witty commentary kept me engaged throughout this 2-hour journey of criticism. 🤣 You've managed to make even the game's faults entertaining! 👍 I've smashed that like button and subscribed for more honest critiques like this. FH6 needs to be set in the US and take notes from the Crew. Need a Gulf coast area with long coastal highways, wetlands, and beaches. Needs a Midwest area with wide open fields, farms, farm roads, and long straits of asphalt. Need a Rockies/West coast zone with mountain climbs, mountain roads, snowy mountain peaks, and curvy Hollywood roads in narrow tight roads through million dollar neighborhoods. Finally completely new biome for Forza, the South. The south could have new racing types like mud races with all new and realistic mud physics, new tire compounds, new suspension set ups, ext., make all the big 4x4 trucks and SUVs feel useful for once. FH6 needs to go back to Horizons roots while adding something completely new and unexpected lile Mud physics or rock climbing physics. Also think the car list should be the same as FH5 at the end of its life cycle, starting with a catalog of 800ish cars would be phenomenal and also leave room for cars we would never see again like a C6 Z06 even though we already have a C6 ZR1. They also need a genuine career mode, I don't want to start with everything given to me, I want to start with junk cars and no reputation and build up as I play, FH5 I was a millionaire after a few hours with over 30 cars. We need more body kits, engine swaps, customization options, more biomes, more daily drivers. Please no more Hot wheels or Lego, give use add ons like proper cross country endurance racing like Dakar, or off road paradise with new environments and off-road physics, or mabye even something crazy like boats or motorcycles added to the game. Ultimately the gameplay is getting stale, Forza needs some drastically new driving experiences, aswell as a map that's actually fun to drive and explore.
i pray that Playground Games takes this critique into consideration when the next game rolls around but unfortunately unless the sales begin to drop they have no incentive to do so.
As my first Forza game, my mind was blown as I discovered all of these for the first time, arguably in the best versions of them. And the storm graphics look stunning.
I'll grant Horizon 5 does *one* thing better than 4 from what I've seen playing both on Game Pass: it doesn't throw trailers at you for the expansions periodically. I mean, yeah, I'll get the expansions when I go back and actually buy 4, but it is kind of a nuisance.
"My god, what has journalism come to." As someone who was part of GamerGate since back in 2013 before it was even named that, that line just about got the longest bitter laugh out of me of anything in the past 5 or so years.
I don't know if this was mentioned or not, but a complaint I have with FH 5 is how the Forzathon Arcade is set up. In FH 4 you only had one spawn every couple of hours. In FH 5 there is usually anywhere 2 to 4 on every map when they spawn. It's hard to get that Accolade when I'm usually by myself or maybe 1 other player. In FH4 I've never had less than 3(or sometimes 8) in the same group. And I like how FH4 the game would make it more of a spectacle.
I have two main issues with Horizon 5: 1) Way too many cars way too quickly. I rolled some of the top cars in the game in the first couple of days. Maybe I was one of the lucky ones, but it took a lot of wind out the sails for me. 2) Races seem like an afterthought. I like all the stories - I think that was a home run. And then they kept adding more to give you more to do. But there was never anything pushing you to do the races or run the championships besides grinding for credits.
I was honestly excited for this game. I played fh 1 and 2 on my xbox and 3 and 4 on PC. Number 5 was probably the biggest disappointment ive ever felt towards a videogame. And I agree with you on the map design, Everything just feels dull and pointless and makes me feel alone in an empty world. I actually bought fh 4 and 5 specifically to make videos on it for my channel. but because the game was so shit plus I constantly had my liveries ban from the game, I just gave up all together and started a completely new channel about other games. Forza Horizon 5 biggest waist of my life ive ever had. Financially and mentally
It’s mad to think the game is based on Mexico and the only reference to Mexican car culture I heard during my short play time was a character getting excited about a VW Beetle, great video and highlighted why I don’t play this game.
I got to be honest, I started the series with FH5 (then FH4) and as a new player, the game is great, with a few annoying stuff sprinkled left and right. So the game is great, if you never played anything but NFS before.
I like the part about the festival playlist. It's so goddamn infuriating that legitimately awesome cars (Aventador SVJ, 992 GT3, RS7) are only available if you play at the perfect moment. When the game released and I noticed them doing this to even more extremes than FH4 I started to dislike the game more and more. Back in FH4 it was less bad and I was also younger without a life so I could complete the playlist every week. A month after release I dropped the game because it was clear what kind of 'progression' the game had in mind and I didn't touch it for 1,5 years. When the final DLC dropped I redownloaded the game to play both DLCs and had quite some fun with the Rally DLC, I was almost shocked that the really awesome cars were locked behind artificial scarcity. And I refused to refresh the Auction House for hours to even get a chance at buying the car. So after two weeks I uninstalled again It's a shame given that FM3, FH1, FM4, FH3 and FH4 provided such great experiences only to see it being stomped in the ground in order to induce FOMO in people who just want to enjoy an experience instead of grinding. And why does the game want you to grind when it gives you millions of credits after a couple hours of play?
Whenever anything starts to get popular and start to cater to casuals, it destroys the enjoyment of the actual fanbase that will continue to support after the hype dies down. This is how they killed the Battlefield franchise, for example.
Wow. That hits the nail on the head. Another game that comes to mind would be Need for Speed. I've been saying it for a long time. As soon as something becomes big and successful and the developers/publishers smell the big bucks, many game franchises go downhill because the game mechanics get watered down more and more to attract even more customers.
I completely disagree with the Eliminator, i have over 2500 hours in the FH5 Eliminator and this never gets boring. Direction of the h2h race and the final race is very easy to predict if you know how it works. I'm playing this all the day and i will never stop, this is the only good mode in this game. Yeah the cars are poorly leveled but this only making this more fun. Funco is amazing car when you know how to drive it, and Camaro and P1 are one of the best too if you are not crashing trees. First learn how to play and then say something 😅
I also disagree but Eliminator in FH5 is not as good as FH4. 1100 wins in FH5 and 2300 eliminator wins in FH4, so I still enjoy it but no one wants to drive RWD cars off-road
I know many people won’t even mention this since it’s not directly related to the video but I really appreciate the background music from some persona 5 tracks to the Xenoblade 2 blade awaking theme it really helps add to the atmosphere of the essay
As a veteran Eliminator player with thousands of games played and nearly 700 wins, I'd like to address some of the Eliminator points made in the video. 20:35 while 10 hours of Eliminator experience may seem like a lot, it is in fact not nearly enough to actually learn how the finer points in the game work. With more experience, many of the critiques listed in the video would be both understood and answered. 20:50 imo the game is 75% skill and 25% luck. The more you play, the more you understand, the better you will be at the game. What may seem like random or lucky coincidences are actually not so to the experienced player. 21:00 purple level car drops are rare and hard to find. Yes are are some available at the game start, but the game isn't handing them out like candy. It took me many hundreds of games played before I ever found my first level 10 car drop. But, it is entirely possible to beat a few opponents and then upgrade to a high level car as well. 21:06 the race direction isn't as random as it appears and is actually quite easy to accurately predict. Every Arena has a certain number of race finish locations; as the circle shrinks, the amount of possible locations decrease as well. Remember, the map is always shrinking towards the Final Arena where the Final Showdown will take place, so you will notice that the race directions will increasingly go in that direction. 21:18 just because a car has a higher level doesn't automatically mean it's a better car than a lower level car. For example, the Audi RS6 is quite capable of beating any level 10 car in the right hands. It was a level 5 car in FH4 and it should have been at least that in FH5 as well. With experience you will learn which cars to choose and which ones to avoid. 21:41 the "mile long lead" comes from preparing for the Final Showdown beforehand. You need to pull up the main map (make sure to bind it to a key you can quickly access; this is vital) and determing the most likely direction of the final race, then try to exit the final zone at a high rate of speed right as the countdown timer hits 3 seconds or less. In your case, the final zone was to the far east. Since there is water farther east and not much room north or south, a long Final Showdown race must by necessity go west (which is exactly what happened). 22:35 yes the Brocky and RS200 are good, but so are the other level 10 cars. It all depends on the type of terrain you're on. The AMG, with its 250 mph/400 kph top speed, will absolutely destroy any other car on the road, and especially in a highway race. Meanwhile, the Funco has the fastest acceleration, a top speed around 350 kph, and is a beast offroad (once you know how to control it). I've won with every Eliminator car from the level 1 Beetle straight through every level 10 car and can tell you that map knowledge and race setup is what will win races, not necessarily the fact that your opponent is driving a higher level car. 22:57 I agree that the Eliminator needs to be updated; at the very least it would be great to get a changing roster of cars. I wrote a Forza article titled "Improve the Eliminator: here's how" where I list 25+ suggestions of how the developers could improve this game mode. Maybe someday we'll see some of these changes, but right now it seems more priority is given to things like a longer nighttime cycle than to any Eliminator improvements. All in all, the Eliminator is a fantastic game mode. I've been fortunate to meet many great players and enjoy interacting with them on my channel or other social platforms. The open world freedom, game to game unpredictability, and all the funny crazy moments is why I spend 90% of my Forza gameplay time in the Eliminator. Not much in Forza actually excites me, or is as fun as this. My channel is based around the Eliminator, and many questions (how to predict car drops/how to predict race direction/where are the best spawn locations) are answered on the channel. If you ever have any questions about the Eliminator, feel free to let me know and I'll be glad to help 😀
Hello! Firstly wanted to say thank you for the giant comment, glad to see people very passionate about this game. Secondly just wanted to say I recognise you! I used a few of your eliminator guides for research in this video! So I’m honour of that I’ll try to address that section a little more clearly. Firstly just want to state I’m no expert, you’re right when you say 10 hours isn’t nearly enough to have proper game sense, but we had no one on the team who had even really touched that game mode, so I decided to give myself a day to play it for the purpose of this video, considering I really didn’t enjoy my time with this mode, I wasn’t willing to play anymore than that, a lot of the stuff stated in the video is hyperbole for the sake of entertainment, but a lot of it still remains true to my experience In my experience a lot of my losses felt as though it was luck, from getting bad car drops to being stuck in a bad high level car (I swear every time I get to tier 10 I get a road car then the final even is miles away off-road) I understand finish lines do spawn close to the centre, but I’ve had times they spawn going back towards the edge of the circle and losing because I was trying to go to the centre, I was extremely frustrating every time it happened. That being said it is incredibly impressive that you managed to win with every single car, that’s an amazing achievement!
@serperior2264 interesting; I'm flattered that would recognize me 😄 I understand that the Eliminator isn't for everyone, but I'll give a few more quick pointers in case you ever decide to play it again. First, if you're not sure which direction to go in a race but you do have a faster car than your opponent, I'd recommend turning in the same direction that he's traveling when challenging him. This helps to avoid "surprises" as you're both in the same situation. Plus, you can then use your speed advantage to give you the upper hand in the race. For spawn locations, check out the Horizon Festival site in the center of the map. There are 4 possible drops within that site, and more in the area surrounding it. The highway intersections all also have car drop possibilities. If I get bad car drops, my solution is to just upgrade by eliminating opponents. So if I start with a level 3, 7 eliminations will still get me a level 10 by the start of the Final Showdown. Often though I get to snipe a faster car, and that helps me upgrade quicker. Another tip is to check the big map before you start any race to determine a race direction, and again in the middle of the race if you need to. Keep an eye on the distance indicator on the minimap once you challenge someone; this will tell you if you're heading the right or wrong way before the flag/destination shows up on the minimap. If you see the distance increasing, you instantly know you're heading the wrong way and need to turn around. This is crucial in immediately getting an advantage over your opponent. You mentioned short races surprising you. Yes, this does happen. If you're near the edge of the Arena but the circle is still large and the race distance is 1.5 kms away instead of the normal 3 kms, chances are the race will go right back toward the edge of the Arena. Also, keep an eye on your opponents. If they're all heading in a certain direction, odds are that you'll be going there as well. Once you string all this together, you will see that much of this comes down to driver skill, which is gained through experience. But don't worry, even the best of us still get it wrong from time to time. If we just always won, that wouldn't be fun either 😄 One last thing: check out my "Funny Fails and Best Moments #4" video which is coming out this Sunday (in 2 days). You'll see how crazy this game mode can get sometimes, but also see the funny side in all of it. Thanks for the reply; maybe we'll have the opportunity to go head-to-head sometime in the Eliminator. Best wishes until then 😀
I remember what started me on forza horizion in general. I picked up FH4 on Gamepass when jt was the main game and instantly fell in love with it! I put hours upon hours into it, I evwntually just outright bought it. All the DLC, etc. Then, once FH5 came out, i got it too and played it for a solid couple months, then I sorta just...stopped. it didnt hit that same feeling thst FH4 hit me when I was younger. Recently, I got back into playing it and saw a bunch of the new cars exclusive to the Festival Playlist I wanted soooo badly, like the K10 and older F150 model. but I was monthsss too late and have had no luck auction hunting. I do wish they took this mans advice and made such cars available to newcomers or returning players.
I'm sorry, but I couldn't disagree more profusely about the Eliminator section. That, for the most part, was 4 minutes of torture to my ears. Agreed with some minor details, like the large text blocking the screen, and the Ferrari/Camaro, but the rest was an absolute lie. I don't know how to put this nicely, but you need to learn how to play this game. Nothing is "random" or "behind you" if you actually understand the basics. Please read @StriderZYT's comment from a few hours prior to mine - and his videos are also excellent. I honestly can't believe you've basically sold this game-mode to thousands of people as a P.O.S. when 95% of what you've said is pure nonsense. I haven't watched the rest of this video but will certainly be returning to see it soon. For now, thanks for painting a humongous-ly false picture of this very good mode.
I think calling all of that a lie is very disingenuous as those were my thoughts after playing for a day straight, I really did not enjoy that game mode, especially compared to something like TCM's demolition royale which in my opinion is a lot more balanced and fun. The eliminator feels lackluster, and I wrote my thoughts just as they are for video's sake. Though don't let me take away your enjoyment of the gamemode if you like it, I'm glad you can enjoy something I can't
I also have a really good idea on how to solve the Playlist issue, and i think i found something that could satisfy both sides. Putting playlist cars in the backstage pass, and maybe sell the passes in the Forzathon shop, giving people a reason to collct Forzathon points
Good video, I hadn't thought before about how trying sell Game Pass vs selling Individual copies would change target audience the developers are trying to hit - but I think you are on to something with that assessment. I've had a kind of weird trajectory with the Forza Horizon series, playing FH2 first, then playing the First, then not playing for several years, then picking up FH5, then recently giving FH4 a shot. I'm actually impressed at the level of activity I see in FH4 - which says a lot about how much people still like it. I find myself liking the FH4 map more because it feels more like a cohesive land area, but FH5 map feels like a bunch of environment type zones joined together with a big field - kind of like Hyrule Field in Ocarina of Time. I also like how the different seasons affect what type of driving strategies I need to use and how I need to configure my cars. I do like Drift Zones in 5 better, because in 4, especially on dirt drift tracks, the pathing isn't always clear, and in winter it gets significantly worse - Shepherd's Crook immediately comes to mind. I absolutely love Forzathon Live and it is really sad how it was replaced by Horizon Arcade which almost no one does, and most of the time I'm doing alone - and is far too easy. Also Forzathon points are way too easy to get in FH5 vs FH4. I agree with what others have said that the idea of starting the game as a nobody with a below average car has a lot more appeal than being the "Super Star Driver" - it gives you something to work towards. Lastly, I'm very surprised nobody has mentioned Papa Fernando and his Vocho yet. 🤣
FH5 looks pretty good. I can agree why so much desert. My worse complaint is the handling. The rear breaks loose to easily. In FH5 they have roads going no where for no reason.
Oh shiiit. This is gonna be loaded. Just the playtime, the 2 min intro and the channels pedigree is giving me chills, despite never owning or planning to get the game. Only recently got a taste of Horizon 4 as of any Forza game... and my feelings are mixed to the max. Concluded, there is no great Forza on PC and after a strong start they are increasingly falling off from the godlike potential they possess. But I want to see and support a truly great Forza game. Let's witness what the expert with real experience is got to say.
i can assure that nearly everyone who played fh1 and fh2 (including myself) dislikes the "story" of fh5 and how boring the map is, aswell as only play it for infection and king

Props to the writes and your editing ❤ Its jusr that i am genuinely pissed about this abomination of an crap work thaz is horizons 5 Also sep4 made an great video too about thr issues with the official Forza team members cheating in races themselfs .
I'd like : - 900° Steering Wheel Rotation - Indicators - Red Lights, Gas Stations etc. - Accessible interiors, such as player houses, garages, and car dealers - Proper level design, with narrower streets, a map which you can't just fly through cross country - More immersion, progression and meeting spots, leaning into car culture. My idea of open world car game is more than just car football and playing catch. - Sense of speed that pumps you up and makes the driving actually feel dangerous and exciting. - Proper creative direction. A beautiful atmosphere and vibe which elevates a video-game to artistic aspirations. Racing games can create a feeling like Zelda or Read Dead Redemption, the original Forza Horizon proved that. I fell in love with Colorado. None which FH5 has, and that's why it feels like a tech demo also why I un-installed, play Test Drive and Forza Horizon 1 instead.
I really just want them to go back to the original style of the first game where you are a nobody and have to rise to the top. The whole starting as the best and just being some trophy that the festival parades around really kills the vibe of the game for me as someone who avoids multiplayer racing unless it's with friends. There also needs to be way more classes of cars because I feel like there's only a handful of viable cars. In all honesty one of the absolute best parts of old Forza motorsport games was taking a clunker of a car and turning it into a monster. Now you just take a D class car and make it an S1 car that is undriveable. Let me take a D class car and make it a top tier A or B class car by maxing it out instead of letting me make it barely into S1 and now it's useless.
I'm about to tick a few people off, but I think that Horizon 5 may be one of, possibly the, worst racing games of all time primarily for one reason, it's history and failure to live up to it. The series went from a racing game with vibrant settings to a bland puke-colored landscape; from a, albeit less than cinema quality, story to a repulsive abomination; from getting respect via championships to already having said respect from the get-go; from playing as a regular racer to a cringe Mary Sue. Don't even get me started on the Festival Playlist, dear Lord almighty save us all. No sane person enjoys this mindless grind. No one wants to play a game that allegedly has their favorite cars just for them to learn that they may never get them. No one takes offense to the Confederate flag on the General Lee. No one wants to have those lane-protector thingys that bowling alleys have on them 24/7. In short, stop the cring Playground. Stop pretending that you are for everyone and act like you are for no one. Just go back to your roots, being a fun, engaging racing game. Excellent in-depth video Ultra.
Too many want this. Open worlds suck now. Games will just get worse. Worse if someone did try it would not get funding. To many just play iRacing or project cars 2.
we now have an updated supercut version of this video, which combines our critique of Motorsport into one giant video posted here! th-cam.com/video/rH6B9OMsr9E/w-d-xo.htmlsi=TEJ_cmLlhdX519I6
My biggest complaint is that the roads keep getting wider, longer, and more obstacles become breakable. You almost never have to lift off the throttle in anything under A class anymore because it's all designed to be easy in X class
that makes sense!
If a map is designed for A or S1, it makes slower cars feel as fast as they are, and hypercars as monstrous as they should be
@@XxWarmancxX TLDR, it shouldn't be trivial to drive X class at top speed down country roads. The challenge is what makes driving them fun
Just a few cars here and there..
the "live service" model should really just be renamed to the "weekly chore" model at this point.

Oh hello, it’s me! Im glad there are other people that get it. I think hispanic and south american countries often get misrepresented in a lot games
Been following you since forza horizon 4 review, this video feels like a culmination of years of love for racing games!
that's so nice of you!!!
The main thing Forza needs is a actual story. With that, other improvements will naturally come with it
Forza Horizon 1 to 4 all have actual storyline.

Do you really think a racing game needs a story?
I've only just restarted an old FH3 save yesterday, and I already agree with your opening points. Sure, FH3 ventured into the first "every one wins, you're the best! Go you!" territory, and it arguably undoes some of FH2's greatness. But it's host is actually bearable (and often humorous) ahem FH4/5!! And it's Australian biomes are stunning, interesting, unique and varied all within the one map. In short, it's been a real joy going back to FH3 after hundreds of hours in FH5. FH3 is simply a stunning and well designed game. Great video!!
that's so nice of you!
I'm still waiting for the Galant and Patrol to come back since I missed them months ago.
A big issue that I see on the map is that the city is like historical only, we don't have a big modern city that we have in Mexico in real life... It is too empty as well, should have more car's in traffic. Great review.

I have never seen someone be so turned off by a car’s existence, can’t decide whether to be impressed or just laugh at how pathetic it is
@ultraviolet_channel Imagine designing a SPORTS MUSCLE CAR mold. Only to be used for a SUV family car. I'd be triggered too if a Camaro was turned into a family SUV wagon
@@DivinusPrime oh I think it’s just as ridiculous, just can’t fathom being that obsessed with it
I love the near-constant background footage of players ramming/crashing constantly. Really shows the priority and intent of the average player.
Progression in older games was so much better..
that's very true!
I honestly didn't expect your "return" to racing game reviews, hopefully the reception to this review is a lot chiller than the previous ones.
Horizon 5 after hours of playing still feels like a DLC to 4
I hope so too 🤙
i dont people dont have to be chill u commie quit controlling people
i've been intending to make a very long and very detailed analysis of fh5 of my own, but between you and whitelight my idea is pretty much obsolete. great job, very succinct.
surely you have something new to bring to the table in your own way, don't let us discourage you!
Mexico deserves better
Thanks for reading the comment. Looking forward to the next video!
I also get frustrated with many of the "Mexico is a bad setting" comments cause I've seen what some of the best mexico has to offer looks like and its stunning, I honestly think it all comes from FH5s map being so dull that that's the impression people get of real mexico too
I definitely think so
@@serperior2264 All because of an *incompetent* team leader (Mike Brown), who has openly admitted to not actually even liking Cars, ordered the map designed with supporting Car Battle Royale as its one and *only* function , thus requiring it to be utterly featureless!

Glad you enjoyed it!
For example- Donut Media's playlist in Motorfest seem to have had more effort put in than theirs in Horizon 5, the graphics is far more colorful, picking cars is a lot more exciting since they're in a showroom inside the festival site and there's actual acted cutscenes in some playlists(like the Japanese tuner one).
your probably one of the only comments in this channel to actually be grateful for the updates tbh
20:14 they actually straight up said this during one of their pre-launch streams, they SAID the map is built around the ELIMINATOR. Like why? WHY PG?!
Actually I've experienced thunder and storm in the early days of FH5 it was quite frequent now it's very rare to see one come by...
Thank you for that.
that's so nice of you!!!!!
Forza is currently becoming less and less a game and more of a building platform for the community, in the same way as BeamNG or Asetto Corsa. Great physics, but an empty game
very true, I hadn't even thought about this
I thought it was pure Marketing
but the thing is it cant be a building platform because they shut down mods as soon as they see them
@squid8420 Yosuke Hanamura is in my comments I’m so honoured
@@UltraViolet_Moses would you do a video on persona 3 reload when it comes out?
My problem with the cars in 4 and 5 is that new cars are always linked to battle pass events
So if you miss one good luck finding it again
This in my opinion is the worst aspect that absolutely detracted me from the game
Which is why they should allow us to buy them from the autoshow but nope, 7 million dollar AE86
@@serperior2264 yup
I was reminded of this today after not opening the game for about a year
I agree, having to grind the game to get 20 million so I could buy a 2023 Nissan Z from the auction house was extremely obnoxious, just because I missed the event
I was super excited when I saw the Lucid Air Sapphire get added to FH5 then I remembered it would be locked behind the live service crap. There’s a reason I still play FH2 almost religiously lmao
the pick your car thing was so funny to me because, when i finished the intro and saw all 3 in my garage, i thought the game glitched
that's pretty funny!
Glad you "returned" to the racing game community. You were one of my favorite commentators
our pleasure!
As someone that is mexican and is close to Guanajuato, if its not raining its very brown, and the reason why many people complain abt Guanajuato city is beacuse they only chose the "rich areas", bc they dont want to show houses made of literally dirt brick (Adobe that its the name of the dirt brick) and bc the map of FH5 isn't Mexico, it just a union of different states of the country mixed badly, to be exact its baja California, Quintana Roo, and Guanajuato, also no real cities bc they are really huge and they basically are a generic open world game, and theres no narcos so 0/10
Jokes aside, it just the rural areas of Mexico with they are really boring, even from a mexican like me. That's why i prefer FH4, bc I got my cars and it has a better vibe and it represents the culture
Meanwhile, FH5 its a generic stereotypical and racist in some cases if what United States people think abt Mexico, just desert and narcos.
For me Forza horizon 5 is the Counter Strike 2 of aussie Racing Cars games
My list of FH games from best to last:
#1. FH1
#2. FH2
#3.FH3
#4.FH4
#5.FH5
They have literally gotten worse and worse with time... more features but less feeling
I will say this new Eventlab makes this version my favorite racing game ever. I love the twisty roads, and I make all kinds of these. It is epic.
good for you!
Was watching this in the background while playing fh5. Right after I got both cars from this week's playlist I got off to focus on the vid because it was more interesting.
glad you liked it that much!
Within the first week of FH5 coming out, I theorized it was rushed out to keep the Forza brand active while the new Forza Motorsport was in development hell (and I didn't even start to dislike it until a month in.) I still believe that.
you're probably right on that front
There are other things but these two things are the first that comes to mind.
that's so nice!
Took me a few days to watch the entire video! Absolutely fantastic production,Horizon really needs to get it together.
glad you enjoyed it!!!!
An amazing video! 100% agree
One thing I'd add is that the content model they imposed on themselves basically kills any chance for a large or mid scale addition to the map.
I had the exact same thought when playing FH5 for the first time too! glad you liked the video!
What was innovative, dangerous, creative, and risky about Horizon 3? It was pretty much Horizon 2 in a different location…

Only now, years later, do i realise i loved the FH4 Lego expansion. I guess it also helps that I've gotten into Lego since
that's very nice!
I'm going to say this, I feel my love for FH slipping because of the lack of care PGG took towards racing and car enthusiasts. But when you mentioned the expansion 2, my soul ache. How and why did they think more of the main dirt map is what people wanted?
I know right? like stated in the video, they had to be self aware and just did it to be funny
the recent updates have been “better” but they never set the bar high. I hope they continue in that direction
That would explain the delay, why the expansion came out around the time the second expanison usually comes out in prevous games and, why the second expansion felt so half-assed
that makes a lot of sense actually, I never thought about it like that
I remembered when you was able to watch Netflix with your friends in a theater like setting with your avitar after playing midnight club and forza. Oh i miss those times
The devs paid IGN most likely to give a 10/10.
yeah that would probably make sense actually
I thought i was the only crazy person saying that, but now im happy im not the only one
Bs, but keep on thinking that. FH5 got me hooked!
Honestly the gameplay is good just the map is terrible
Thank you for this excellent summary. I can fully agree with everything you have mentioned. However, I skipped the multiplayer chapter because I don't use this mode.
that's alright, glad you agree with the rest!
W thumbnail, literally the reason why clicked on this vid it’s gorgeous.

👏 Kudos to you for fearlessly diving into the game's flaws and shortcomings, and laying them all bare for the world to see.

I wish PGG would see our video but I doubt it
As my first Forza game, my mind was blown as I discovered all of these for the first time, arguably in the best versions of them.
"My god, what has journalism come to."
As someone who was part of GamerGate since back in 2013 before it was even named that, that line just about got the longest bitter laugh out of me of anything in the past 5 or so years.
I cant lie, after 2 weeks, i was missing and desiring to play FH4, just based on the map/ country. Still love this Franchise and series.
And I like how FH4 the game would make it more of a spectacle.
this was not mentioned in the video, thanks for pointing it out!
I have two main issues with Horizon 5:
1) Way too many cars way too quickly. I rolled some of the top cars in the game in the first couple of days. Maybe I was one of the lucky ones, but it took a lot of wind out the sails for me.
2) Races seem like an afterthought. I like all the stories - I think that was a home run. And then they kept adding more to give you more to do. But there was never anything pushing you to do the races or run the championships besides grinding for credits.
thats quite true!
I'm sorry to hear that happened, hopefully FH6 will be better!
Thank you for not excessively vocal frying in your voice over, thank you so much, my ears are finally at peace
We still never got that Honda Del Sol and Mitsubishi FTO 😢
nope, forza does not want us having fun
It’s mad to think the game is based on Mexico and the only reference to Mexican car culture I heard during my short play time was a character getting excited about a VW Beetle, great video and highlighted why I don’t play this game.
It focuses more on Chinese car culture lol
I got to be honest, I started the series with FH5 (then FH4) and as a new player, the game is great, with a few annoying stuff sprinkled left and right.
So the game is great, if you never played anything but NFS before.
that makes a lot of sense
The one thing i truly dislike about modern Horizon is the souless "everything is awesome" attitude the game drowns you with.
So after two weeks I uninstalled again
It's a shame given that FM3, FH1, FM4, FH3 and FH4 provided such great experiences only to see it being stomped in the ground in order to induce FOMO in people who just want to enjoy an experience instead of grinding. And why does the game want you to grind when it gives you millions of credits after a couple hours of play?
I'm glad you agree with that segment!!!!
First learn how to play and then say something 😅
from my casual perspective I didn't enjoy it at all, glad you can find enjoyment in something I can't
I'm glad you noticed! I think they worked amazing for the video!
Firstly just want to state I’m no expert, you’re right when you say 10 hours isn’t nearly enough to have proper game sense, but we had no one on the team who had even really touched that game mode, so I decided to give myself a day to play it for the purpose of this video, considering I really didn’t enjoy my time with this mode, I wasn’t willing to play anymore than that, a lot of the stuff stated in the video is hyperbole for the sake of entertainment, but a lot of it still remains true to my experience
In my experience a lot of my losses felt as though it was luck, from getting bad car drops to being stuck in a bad high level car (I swear every time I get to tier 10 I get a road car then the final even is miles away off-road) I understand finish lines do spawn close to the centre, but I’ve had times they spawn going back towards the edge of the circle and losing because I was trying to go to the centre, I was extremely frustrating every time it happened.
If we just always won, that wouldn't be fun either 😄
One last thing: check out my "Funny Fails and Best Moments #4" video which is coming out this Sunday (in 2 days). You'll see how crazy this game mode can get sometimes, but also see the funny side in all of it.
Thanks for the reply; maybe we'll have the opportunity to go head-to-head sometime in the Eliminator. Best wishes until then 😀
@@StriderZYT thank you for the tips! if for whatever reason I decide to try it again, I'll be sure to keep all of this in mind!
that's very nice!!!
Let's witness what the expert with real experience is got to say.
hope you enjoy!!!
40:03 Pahaha well done!! couldnt have said it better.
Overall goated video my dude!
thank you so much!!!!
40:00 Ummm yea dude, I've seen Dora The Explorer and that's 100% how people in Mexico talk everyday. You're just uncultured I guess.
Hola! Soy Dora!
Wow dude, you deserve everything for these video, I hope playground games is making again an impressive map for us to enjoy along our favorite cars
thank you so much!!!!
i can assure that nearly everyone who played fh1 and fh2 (including myself) dislikes the "story" of fh5 and how boring the map is, aswell as only play it for infection and king
I think that's a pretty valid and defined statement!

I remember a Hotwheels buggy locked behind an S2 Hypercar street scene trial (all races at night and in the rain).

Here is our savior . The channel that truly understands what is good and whats bad . Props to the writes and your editing ❤

Using Forza Horizon 5 to highlight Mexican culture is a bit like going to Dominos to experience Italian pizza culture.
I'd like :
- 900° Steering Wheel Rotation
- Indicators
- Red Lights, Gas Stations etc.
- Accessible interiors, such as player houses, garages, and car dealers
- Proper level design, with narrower streets, a map which you can't just fly through cross country
- More immersion, progression and meeting spots, leaning into car culture.
Asking pronouns is stupid but not a deal breaker but it’s also not surprising a game this bad asks it. Let’s you see the priorities
the day you realise you also have pronouns is the day your entire world view crumbles
@@UltraViolet_Moses question was already answered when I picked a male or female character

@@UltraViolet_Moses if you think that's funny wait until you hear a Chappelle stand up
I really just want them to go back to the original style of the first game where you are a nobody and have to rise to the top.
Excellent in-depth video Ultra.
....you been under a 🪨. The flag thing is a bad example because worse things are happening...HOW IS EXERCISE RACIST ..DAM LIBERALS.
Too many want this. Open worlds suck now. Games will just get worse. Worse if someone did try it would not get funding. To many just play iRacing or project cars 2.
still not as bad as unbound at least
The game also doesn't pay the players any credits after races either. That's why I stopped playing anything Forza in general.
