- I always seemed to miss my parcels being delivered, I was either at work, not hearing the door, or they just decided to deliver them next door!
I designed my own version of a parcel dropbox, simple and effective. Not copied from any plans, but I just built it as I went along. I have a camera mounted in the alley so when a parcel gets delivered, I get a notification, and usually an Amazon notification too. It works really well, and hopefully is less hassle for the deliverer.
I think if you ever decided to sell plans for this, I'd buy the plans.
Looks great! Love the front yard to back yard feel of your set up, 🔑to making it look fancy store bought , is execution! Just wondering why no bottom floor. But I love the bungy cord safety catch for soft landings of package. The door opening seemed large from the 1 angle in video.Large enough for someone or something to fit inside of it . I have seen other design with a 2nd board that goes on back wall an hinges opposite from door to seal this

@@troykinnison4575 I didn't add a bottom board as the roof was not water tight, and it stood on paving slabs as when it rains the water drains in that corner. Yes it's big enough to get into easily. I did order a 2 bar electric fire that fitted into the Dropbox. I have a wyze camera that videos all my Amazon deliveries!

Just when I read come comments and also saw the relative huge opening I immediately was thinking tinkering in my mind. Really good design. I might have improvement that has extra deterrent for anyone wanting to try and reach/grab stuff.
I se room I think for a wooden panel/flap that is directly on top of the hinge, reaching almost to the bodem and still able to open and close. It's like a another trap door. Because of the angle shute-hinge-door it's almost impossible to then climb in or grab?! Anyone know what I mean. It's hard to describe in words.

What stops a thief reaching in and nicking the box?
It drops into a cargo net and the angle is near impossible to pick it out again.
What kind of hinges are you using? Do you have a drawing of this build?
