I ordered from Republic bricks several times, and I swear 50% of the sets I got, I either got the wrong part or was missing it entirely. I'd only get refunded a few cents and instructed to order the piece of bricklinked. Not economical, not a great response and no care from support. It also took 2 months to ship a set that was deemed same day shipping...

It’s never a deal, RB always sets a fake “original price” and the discount is the actual price. It makes people want to buy from him because they don’t want to lose out on the deal. You rarely, maybe never, get the big UCS sets that he shows on the front, you always get the crap that won’t sell on his website.
I’m thoroughly convinced at this point that any of his mystery boxes is just stuff that’s not selling well. I ordered 12 of some mystery box awhile ago (don’t remember which) and I got SO MANY repeats of stuff and only got 1 custom clone trooper . It’s such a ripoff… and the fact he keeps getting away with it is even worse… It’s probably about time we took a stand against him tbh. Anyways, I apologize for being so long winded.

Besides the scamming, Republic Bricks said some really f‘d up things in some of his podcasts with mndr productions. I saw these clips one or two years ago so idk if they’re still online but in my opinion Mandr productions and other youtubers should not promote such a person. In my opinion he‘s just an absolutely unbearable person and the scams just prove it over and over again.

I love his figures and have bought a lot of them, but what I’ve found with the mystery boxes is that there is always a catch where you’re probably just going to get something that he needs to get rid of because it’s not selling. He’s not lying in his descriptions of the things he sells, but he’s not super obvious about the fact that you’re probably not going to get something cool. Also I looked up what you got in the mystery box, and while he does classify it as a UCS set and “sold” it for $200, he probably just had it marked up super high and then discounted it so that he would be able to fit it in a mystery box

Bought a mystery box from then. Surprisingly shipped fast even though I'm in Australia. Expected a big set that they listed but ended up getting a small Darth Vader's tie fighter ( roughly in scale with the one in the official Vader castle set ) that wasn't even in the listed sets Also, it is imperative to remind people to take a very close look at the photo as many of them are V4 V5 or whatever they call those polybag level sets that are in the mystery box. They are not listed anywhere else in the website so the only way you really know what they are is by looking at the picture of the mystery boxes
I got a video where I got a Z-95 from a 275 dollar mystery box (I paid $50 cause black friday). And on the website it does say it's worth $275.00, but I'm not seeing it.

I understand being disappointed by the false advertising, but can you honestly expect something worth $200+ for $30? It doesn’t make any sense financially for him and approach any situation like this with that mentality. If you’re buying a mystery box with good stuff expect to pay at least 80% of the claimed value. It’s possible to find deals on items for a little less then market value+labor and make money for him still, but an 80-90% value gap is almost ALWAYS too good to be true. Especially on LEGO
Yeah, I’ve tried once to buy from Timmy… never again. Ordered a blue xwing, it wasn’t listed as a presale. 1/30, ordered placed. 2/9 USPS label created. 2/24 I inquired and was told they would come in 3/20 and that it was a presale. 3/27 still no set. He said it was supply issues. But it would be sent the next week. It wasn’t. Now he’s not shipping until the second half of April due to his wedding. Never again, Timmy sucks.
Ironically enough, I ordered one of these during Black Friday, and what I got was also the red and white “UCS” speeder, which didn’t arrive until yesterday (February 9th). I had also ordered another mystery box at the time, which I believe to be the limited edition Black Friday special (claimed to be $200 marked down to $9), and what I got was a poly bag scale vulture droid. Not only does this build not appear on the website’s search results, but the build itself is straight up ugly (likely because it uses a black grill tile for its head.) Neither of these builds are close to $200 value each, and though it’s likely these mystery boxes are just ways to get rid of un-selling slop, I’m not even sure if that’s entirely the point after receiving this vulture droid, At this point, since he doesn’t have any places to put reviews on his site (I WONDER WHY) or even allow returns, either a lawsuit or a new superior custom Lego set site is what this hack needs to be put in place.

His pricing and "sale" practices are misleading for sure. He also has bad customer service, is slow to ship, and had quality control issues in a couple of the sets I bought. His designs are solid, the rest of his business practices are awful.

Yea, before all this bad stuff came out about him, I paid $500 for one of his larger sets and it was supposed to arrived 4 months before it did and once it came it was missing 18 pieces and the instructions made no sense a lot of the time. The mini fig i got was good tho. (He got it from clone army customs)

Customs are great! All mystery boxes are a way for the sellers wether it's RB or M4U, whoever doesn't matter, can dump stuff not selling. That's why I stay away from it. Best way to combat it is stop buying them. Then they won't sell again. Maybe they'll start asking what we would buy idk. I just don't buy mystery boxes because you never get anything worth what you paid for
His website honestly looks like it could be successful selling his custom sets. I was looking to get a cool shadow Arc-170 for the not so cheap price of $100, as well as 3 custom minifigures. I was a few minutes away from placing a $200 order before I remembered how Mocbrickland scammed me, so I decided to do some research. Oddly enough, most reviews that are negative about Republic Bricks are specifically about the mystery boxes. I am tempted to try just buying the few specific things I want since the minifigures are praised by most reviewers.
I’ve never purchased from Republic Brick and never plan to either, there models don’t meet my standards, most are just recolored Lego sets. I can’t remember ever hearing one honest positive comment about RB. It seems like every video about them that isn’t from M&R is about asking if they scam, talking about their terrible costumer service, bad quality or other shady practices. When I buy custom sets, I normally buy from Brickmania where I can get things that Lego themselves would never do like military. I understand they are completely different companies since RB is a small business and BKM has five retail locations and has high prices, but you get what you pay for with them. Totally original designs that actually have heart put into them, excellent quality with 100% new condition pieces with great shipping time and customer service. After looking at comments on many video about RB, something like 90%+ of them project a negative outlook of RB. The only negative aspect people tend to have with BKM are there prices which normally comes from non customers who just judge something they don’t know about. BKM is justified their prices numerous times and I agree they are indeed worth the price. With RB, almost all media surrounding around them is negative, from YT vids and comments and definitely ensured I wont ever be buying from a company that shows no care or appreciation for their customers. Unlike RB at least with BKM, you get what you pay for and I actually feel appreciated as a customer. I’ve purchased from them for years now and can say everything I’ve received from them from figures to kits was worth every last penny.
What’s even funnier is that then M&R doesn’t have the slightest bit of criticism for it to when he will bash Lego with no mercy for the tiniest flaw over and over again. But with RB, nope, helmet holes and misprints are unacceptable with Lego, yet he has seemingly zero issue with used Lego bricks of bad quality or missing components in RB sets…@@CT-9904-Crosshair
Ordered my set about 3 weeks ago from him. I took advantage of the free gift of the sepretist and republic mystery box if I spent over 100 dollars. I ordered his republic attack shuttle because I don’t have the official lego one. No where on the website did it say preorder, but i just emailed his help team and it was. So now I have to wait till mid july
I've seen so many other videos like this, what a scam! Feel bad for you. RB is obviously only shipping these ''ucs'' sets because he marked the price down, and thinks he can get away with it. Its obviously not the same odds of the £200 one he does, which doesnt make it a mystery, but just rigged (although he probably puts poor sets when its not on discount too). Sorry you got scammed, but that's mostly the case with these small-time stores and tbh it was quite naive to expect that you would get anything else than some small shitty set, just do the math - if each mystery box had 200 USD value while costing 20-30 USD, he would get bankcrupt pretty quick. Also, I'm quite convinced that in fact ALL people who bought the mystery box received something like this. Pretty much all "mystery boxes", no matter what type of product, are in fact just gambling covered in more fancy word, if not straight out scams - there is not much of a supervision on this matter sadly. Hope you at least learned not to lose money on shit like that.

BOTH sets were that shitty sub... except both of mine were also just pure black... I'd give a little bit credit if they were different colors, but that is absolutely insane to me that I spend $50 and get a bunch of black pieces. Only good thing I can say about it is he threw in a free custom shadow clone pilot. Besides that, absolute trash. And I waited over a month for this shit
Not for nothing I took a chance and got 5 of those mystery clones for $5 each not only did I have to reach out to get it shipped after my order was "never" placed even though shop and bank confirmed purchase. They finally came in and they were the old style no helmets and bad prints which I kinda expected but still. Short to say I probably won't reorder

dont let republic bricks put you off, brick vault do amazing work and their sets are so worth it, once you figure out how to buy the parts once its easy from then on, and you have the added benefit of knowing how brick link works from then on, the instructions they sell come with great guides to use brick link also, and as a lego fan, knowing how to use brick link and being comfortable using the site is a valuable skill, i'm like 5/6 sets deep into buying from them, and all are amazing quality builds, they make custom building affordable also by making sure the parts you buy arnt rare, so for cheaper than buying a ucs gunship, you can buy a custom minifig scale ucs gunship, or that coruscant guard gunship you have, for the same price just buying the parts brick vault sell a more accurate, much better version, exactly the same price, so dont give up on the custom scene, just go to the right people, the brick vault models are test built, unlike republic bricks, so the sets actually go together well and dont fall apart, give a clone tank a go, thats how i started, custom great looking clone tank and with instructions and parts, you're looking at around $50 max, and buying 2 at once, your looking at $70-$80 because of how buying parts works, please dont give up on the custom model market, theres people out there that do great work

@@bricksthatclick 100% worth it, as the more experienced you get buying the parts the cheaper things will be, thats all republic bricks does, he just buys parts and sells them at a mark up haha, black parts are cheap when used condition, which is why most of his things have 'shadow' versions and sets with black parts are what he sends out in these mystery boxes

I 100% agree with you on this, BrickVault has among the best custom builds, especially Star Wars on the market. Also when it comes to buying custom sets, Brickmania is also an excellent option as their models are comparable if not better than BrickVaults when it comes to quality and accuracy although they really on focus on military. They also have amazing customer service and respect for their fan base unlike RB which is also something BrickVault does well with too. Brickmania also has a wonderful TH-cam channel where they showcase their builds so you can see first hand what their like actually put together with custom artwork, its very expensive but absolutely worth it due to all of the hard work and labor that goes into making their models.
ok so what happened was: I got them for $20 each because it was a “Black Friday sale” and he was claiming they were worth $200 each originally. So obviously they weren’t worth that price so really I only lost $40, but a bunch of other people fell for this and plenty of other “sales” he has done.

I’ve heard better about their actual sets…but their custom support sucks regardless, and across the board I’ve heard they’re very rude and impatient.

His pricing and "sale" practices are misleading for sure. He also has bad customer service, is slow to ship, and had quality control issues in a couple of the sets I bought. His designs are solid, the rest of his business practices are awful.

I have never ordered mystery box but it does seem too good to be true. I paid full price for 2 custom sets and they came out good exactly what I wanted. Maybe it’s just mystery boxes aren’t the best

Yea, before all this bad stuff came out about him, I paid $500 for one of his larger sets and it was supposed to arrived 4 months before it did and once it came it was missing 18 pieces and the instructions made no sense a lot of the time. The mini fig i got was good tho. (He got it from clone army customs)
If something seems too good to be true, then it probably is. Im not saying this is ethical, but i think buying mystery boxes are just stupid, and this is what is to be expected. I dont think ive ever seen a value mystery box ever.

I bought a combo-set from him in November, but one of the things i got was the wrong version. And now he's expecting me to pay for shipping to send it back to him before he'll send me the thing i acturly ordered.
Yea he did all this on purpose, that is an item that was only added for Black Friday of 2023. And is only gonna be at that time. With the same price as his larger sets and the minimum for his mystery box. He added this product to his shop with full intentions on having that be the set that majority of people would get that and not anything good. He’s a scummy greedy looser trying to rip off a huge chunk of the LEGO community.

Customs are great! But gotta be careful,i love custom mini figs but havent even touched custom sets yet,as much as i love blind blags/mystery stuff it tends to not be worthwhile all the time-definitely for something that's 200$ plus;sorry you and your dad got scammed hard,for sure those 2 sets will never be close to 200 dollers worth of value

All mystery boxes are a way for the sellers wether it's RB or M4U, whoever doesn't matter, can dump stuff not selling. That's why I stay away from it. Best way to combat it is stop buying them. Then they won't sell again. Maybe they'll start asking what we would buy idk. I just don't buy mystery boxes because you never get anything worth what you paid for

His website honestly looks like it could be successful selling his custom sets. I was looking to get a cool shadow Arc-170 for the not so cheap price of $100, as well as 3 custom minifigures. I was a few minutes away from placing a $200 order before I remembered how Mocbrickland scammed me, so I decided to do some research. Oddly enough, most reviews that are negative about Republic Bricks are specifically about the mystery boxes. I am tempted to try just buying the few specific things I want since the minifigures are praised by most reviewers.
i got 4 of his 100$ value mystery boxes at 25 $ ea and it was 4 of his prototype vaders descent but never again ! what are the odds!
I’ve never purchased from Republic Brick and never plan to either, there models don’t meet my standards, most are just recolored Lego sets. I can’t remember ever hearing one honest positive comment about RB. It seems like every video about them that isn’t from M&R is about asking if they scam, talking about their terrible costumer service, bad quality or other shady practices. When I buy custom sets, I normally buy from Brickmania where I can get things that Lego themselves would never do like military. I understand they are completely different companies since RB is a small business and BKM has five retail locations and has high prices, but you get what you pay for with them. Totally original designs that actually have heart put into them, excellent quality with 100% new condition pieces with great shipping time and customer service.
After looking at comments on many video about RB, something like 90%+ of them project a negative outlook of RB. The only negative aspect people tend to have with BKM are there prices which normally comes from non customers who just judge something they don’t know about. BKM is justified their prices numerous times and I agree they are indeed worth the price. With RB, almost all media surrounding around them is negative, from YT vids and comments and definitely ensured I wont ever be buying from a company that shows no care or appreciation for their customers. Unlike RB at least with BKM, you get what you pay for and I actually feel appreciated as a customer. I’ve purchased from them for years now and can say everything I’ve received from them from figures to kits was worth every last penny.
Yeah I’ve looked at a few of their planes and they do look really good.
What’s funny is even M&R keeps getting hit with missing or wrong parts when he does reviews on them
What’s even funnier is that then M&R doesn’t have the slightest bit of criticism for it to when he will bash Lego with no mercy for the tiniest flaw over and over again. But with RB, nope, helmet holes and misprints are unacceptable with Lego, yet he has seemingly zero issue with used Lego bricks of bad quality or missing components in RB sets…@@CT-9904-Crosshair

Ordered my set about 3 weeks ago from him. I took advantage of the free gift of the sepretist and republic mystery box if I spent over 100 dollars. I ordered his republic attack shuttle because I don’t have the official lego one. No where on the website did it say preorder, but i just emailed his help team and it was. So now I have to wait till mid july
That sucks...his support team along with him in general absolutely suck at doing business.

I've seen so many other videos like this, what a scam! Feel bad for you. RB is obviously only shipping these ''ucs'' sets because he marked the price down, and thinks he can get away with it. Its obviously not the same odds of the £200 one he does, which doesnt make it a mystery, but just rigged (although he probably puts poor sets when its not on discount too). Also, the set looks kinda half-built too, would reccomend to stay away whatever the deal looks like. Wish you well 🔥

Sorry you got scammed, but that's mostly the case with these small-time stores and tbh it was quite naive to expect that you would get anything else than some small shitty set, just do the math - if each mystery box had 200 USD value while costing 20-30 USD, he would get bankcrupt pretty quick. Also, I'm quite convinced that in fact ALL people who bought the mystery box received something like this. Pretty much all "mystery boxes", no matter what type of product, are in fact just gambling covered in more fancy word, if not straight out scams - there is not much of a supervision on this matter sadly. Hope you at least learned not to lose money on shit like that.
They scan the normal people and send the best stuff to TH-camrs that are getting paid to say good things. This was clearly a cash grab from them like most of their mystery sets. They get to unload sets that aren’t selling. That thing probably cost $20 to part out on BL

EXACTLY THE SAME MAN! I bought the black friday mystery box for $20 and I also bought a Republic themed mystery box for $30. BOTH sets were that shitty sub... except both of mine were also just pure black... I'd give a little bit credit if they were different colors, but that is absolutely insane to me that I spend $50 and get a bunch of black pieces. Only good thing I can say about it is he threw in a free custom shadow clone pilot. Besides that, absolute trash. And I waited over a month for this shit

Not for nothing I took a chance and got 5 of those mystery clones for $5 each not only did I have to reach out to get it shipped after my order was "never" placed even though shop and bank confirmed purchase. They finally came in and they were the old style no helmets and bad prints which I kinda expected but still. Short to say I probably won't reorder

On mystery boxes your going to get the cheapest option available from the sets listed with the most i stock quantity. The immoral thing is the seller listing sets that no one will ever receive for the box. Until people stop buying them at all people will continue to get "scammed".

He says in the description it can be any ucs set, which the caption misleads you to believe are only big (from the images) but quickly searching the keyword ucs' on his sight show cheaper ones available like a 35.00 bark speader and others. Really this is just one of those times where you need to read the caption carefully before buying. ALSO I AM NOT DEFENDING RB i think he shady as and have seen way to many bad reviews of him.

dont let republic bricks put you off, brick vault do amazing work and their sets are so worth it, once you figure out how to buy the parts once its easy from then on, and you have the added benefit of knowing how brick link works from then on, the instructions they sell come with great guides to use brick link also, and as a lego fan, knowing how to use brick link and being comfortable using the site is a valuable skill, i'm like 5/6 sets deep into buying from them, and all are amazing quality builds, they make custom building affordable also by making sure the parts you buy arnt rare, so for cheaper than buying a ucs gunship, you can buy a custom minifig scale ucs gunship, or that coruscant guard gunship you have, for the same price just buying the parts brick vault sell a more accurate, much better version, exactly the same price, so dont give up on the custom scene, just go to the right people, the brick vault models are test built, unlike republic bricks, so the sets actually go together well and dont fall apart, give a clone tank a go, thats how i started, custom great looking clone tank and with instructions and parts, you're looking at around $50 max, and buying 2 at once, your looking at $70-$80 because of how buying parts works, please dont give up on the custom model market, theres people out there that do great work

@@bricksthatclick 100% worth it, as the more experienced you get buying the parts the cheaper things will be, thats all republic bricks does, he just buys parts and sells them at a mark up haha, black parts are cheap when used condition, which is why most of his things have 'shadow' versions and sets with black parts are what he sends out in these mystery boxes
@@bricksthatclick one other thing ill mention is brickvault do vids on all the sets they sell instructions for so you can see them all in the flesh and get a better idea of what you're investing in
I 100% agree with you on this, BrickVault has among the best custom builds, especially Star Wars on the market. Also when it comes to buying custom sets, Brickmania is also an excellent option as their models are comparable if not better than BrickVaults when it comes to quality and accuracy although they really on focus on military. They also have amazing customer service and respect for their fan base unlike RB which is also something BrickVault does well with too. Brickmania also has a wonderful TH-cam channel where they showcase their builds so you can see first hand what their like actually put together with custom artwork, its very expensive but absolutely worth it due to all of the hard work and labor that goes into making their models.
Republican Briggs is definitely a scam along with all the TH-camrs that back them up and say that they’re great!

ok so what happened was: I got them for $20 each because it was a “Black Friday sale” and he was claiming they were worth $200 each originally. So obviously they weren’t worth that price so really I only lost $40, but a bunch of other people fell for this and plenty of other “sales” he has done.
