Island House! Duw! My late Dad and I were VPs of Llanelli Côr Meibion. We, Dad, me, my partner at the time and a Swiss friend, Pieter Shingler, attended a beautiful evening of music, singing and music awards at the Brangwyn Hall, Abertawe in the mid 80s. Later we retired to the Island House with some of the chior where the singing continued accompanied by 'light' refreshments!!! Some time in the early hours Pieter was asked to sing Stille Nacht, heilige Nacht and even though reluctant at first, he agreed. Well, well, there were not many dry eyes in the house with Pieter singing and those of the chior providing the backing... Diolch yn fawr iawn for sharing this and bringing back so many wonderful and cherished memories of days gone by and not just of Island House!
I've been looking for this video for ages! Looking at the part in llanelli town centre, it amazes me how much nicer it looks in the 90s parts in comparison to how it looks in 2012. And it looks even worse now in 2021!
