      @Ian TB Very nice, I'd love an F-Type whenever my budget will allow. Genuinely think the hardtop version is one of the best looking cars ever made. My last car was a Mini Cooper S, that was fun to commute in. Got a few confused looks when the exhaust crackled and popped and there's a guy in a suit driving it. All in good fun!
      Anyway, working from home 4/5 days a week.... can't complain about my commute either to be fair. :D

    • @HipFireHero
      @HipFireHero 2 ปีที่แล้ว +15

      @@joshrhodes5068 Being an accountant isn't the most exciting career choice but it's certainly a good choice.
      In today's current job climate an apprenticeship where you can gain practical experience while you learn will be viewed higher than university experience. It also allows you to learn without getting into thousands of pounds of student debt. Use those student loans for CIMA etc. later on. This also allows you to see what it's like as an accountant before spending thousands on Uni.
      (but then again uni is really fun so there's that)
      Hope that helped!

    I personally think the clean design inside and out makes it look great, especially if you have audi virtual cockpit, some nice wheels and in daytona grey with s-line. Simple and great looking. Also, audi quattro is the best.

    I was recently driven via carpooling in one of these B9 A4s. I kid you not, we were at constant 100 mph on a motorway and whilst having a chat with a driver I probably could've whispered and it wouldn't make much difference. I didn't feel a roadtrip at all. Maybe it owes it to a fact that it has some of these luxurious MLB underpinnings which go all the way to an A8 and Bentley... All in all - impressed!

    I have a 2017 A4 Quattro with the 45 tfsi. That is a 40 tfsi. Ride in one with my specs and you’ll instantly fall in love like I did. I went from a 2002 Jetta 1.8 to a 2020 r line Jetta that got totaled when I hit a deer to my 2017 A4. It was an instant love with this car. I have the bang and olufson sound system with the heads up display. This car has made me permanently want the A4 sedan for highway use, commute, and even a fun night on the road.

    Hi mate, love your reviews but have to take you to task with the A4 review. I have had an A4 cab, A5, A6 c7, and currently own the A6 c8. Have owned Jag XJR, XJ, BMW 3 & 5 series, and also Merc EClass. Listed these just to show I’m not an Audi fanboy. Probably 90% of normal road users don’t even know if their current car is front or rear wheel drive, and even fewer would like to get the tail out in a Beemer whilst normal daily driving! You say Audi hasn’t changed the A4 design much over the years, well what about 3 series Beemers...evolution rather than revolution is a German mantra most of the time. Sure the A4 2.0 tfsi is not as exciting as your M3, but then if you want to compare apples to apples, then maybe test drive an RS4...see how “nice” that is :-) Not having a serious dig as I always enjoy your vids, but the A4 is perfect for what the majority want, and as you mentioned, there are more exciting models in the line up if that’s your thing...keep up the great work !!!

      Loganbay Have owned/own 4 Audi’s over the years, ranging from 20,000 miles to 85,000 and never had any of them miss a beat ...any car can be unreliable, especially if it’s not looked after, or ragged.

    • @DiscoFang
      @DiscoFang 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@davidarmstrong4934 I find it hilarious when people speak of "reliability" with cars under 100,000 miles. No modern car should have failures under 100,000miles. I disagree that "any car" can be unreliable. Some cars, the Camry is one, take and absorb a complete and total disdain for maintenance and keep running on. When an Audi does, it's noteworthy.

    • @jamesbaxter904
      @jamesbaxter904 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      When did you own the other cars though? If you have to go to the top of the line to have something exciting then that kinda highlights the issue... You don't need an M3 to have an exciting drive for instance, even a 320d is great fun to drive!

    The Audi 80 and the original A4 were the 'quality' choices in their class, then competitors caught up. I still think as a tool this generation would satisfy 90% of people, and it's interesting that you really rate the interior, which after all is where we spend most of our time! Given a choice between this and a new Fiesta for the same money (and the Fiesta is brilliant to drive) I could see me buying this!

    Really been loving my audi a4 avant 252 hp 2.0 tfsi Quattro, had zero issues after 60 miles.
    I liked my FWD 2.0 tdi 190 hp too, but the FWD isn't really exciting to drive indeed as you rightfully mentioned.
    The Quattro was such a welcoming edition, the fuel consumption is 5% up to 10% higher tho because of the AWD.

    I like what you said about the Iphone. I could get more performance out of other crap out there but then I know what works well and Iphone delivers that.

    I have the 2019 model and I agree it is unexciting to look at from the outside but brilliant on the inside. My previous car which was the mark 2 version of the VW CC was beautiful from the outside but boring on the inside. I always when walking away from it would admiringly, glance back at it but I never look back at the Audi. The latest A5 is a much prettier car.

    The interior of this model (and the A5) is truly beautiful and feels very premium. Agree from the outside boring but from the inside, luxury. Just need to select a decent Quattro petrol for a bit of driving fun. Great car.

    Thank you. I do like the Audi but like you I have liked the A6 because I need more space. I am 6'2" in height. I need a medium size car for a comfortable feel. And I do like the 2 to 4 year old cars. I find I don't need all the computer items that keep being added. If people like the brand new ones that is fine. I like the great cats that I see that have been mostly driven and work out the beginning problems that you hear of cars and SUVs and trucks in general. Thanks

    Hi Matt,
    I, m thinking of buying a car 017 onwards. Here in Ireland the country is falling down withAudi A4,s. Lots of well paid professionals have them. Farmers love them. All the young crowd are mad to get their hands on them. The younger people will happily spend their entire wage packets on A4, A5 and lately A6 models.
    When the crowd is going that way I, m going the other way. Seriously considering a Lexus is 300h.A real beauty

    I completely agree with you here, I have one - a 66 plate Matador Red 2.0 TDI 150 S-Line S-Tronic and it is a wonderful tool. I bought it as my commute is more or less all dual carriageway and for 90% of people it is pretty much the holy grail of Middle England motoring.
    However, it is not a fun or exciting car in any way shape or form - so much so I'm looking to trade it in for a Mini Cooper S in the new year!

    I got the B9 S4 avant, 3L v6 turbo. It’s beaut. It’s not the most fun to drive, still good and fast but not too indulging. But missus loves it, we use the space for camping, its practical and comfortable. One moment having a massage by their massaging seats, next moment youre blasting around

    I have an A5 3.0 TDi 286. It is s great car but my wife and kids hate it for long journeys because it isn't very comfortable. We had a 5 Series before this car and I have to say she has a point! The A5 is a lot more fun though. The engine in my car is also brilliant. Genuinely fast but you can get mid 50's mpg on a run no problem whatsoever.
    One thing to point out is that the latest A4/A5 has now changed to two screens and got rid of the MMI rotary dial and buttons. I hate that. So much so I won't but another Audi until they have the good sense to realise people don't want to go through menus when a button could instantly do what you want.

    I’ve driven a few of the Quattro and Fwd versions and it’s a competent stylish premium saloon. Granted it’s not exciting but you can at least get an S4 to brighten things up. I would probably get the A5 sport back for the added practicality though.

    We've got a Powerball draw tonite in Oz and I'm wondering what I'd buy if I won $20 million. I realise that most of your car experience is limited to what will sell off your forecourt, but if you had a good chunk of change, what would you buy & why?
