Enjoyed the music VERY much :) thank you. it made me smile in a good way.
@justforFUNdayNIGHT i do believe he is aware of how to make power. he is experimenting with several different motors, and often is searching for an unrelated problem. hence the "chaotic" setups :)
I'm a huge fan. I've been watching your channel since you built your very first Dino and a motorized bicycle with the cheap engine kit. You're truly my hero. You do all the things I wish I could have done if I had more machines, unfortunately now I'm homeless but I'm saving up all the money I can to come and see you at Bonneville. I'm in Los Angeles California, so I've got a little bit of a track to get there, but if you can come all the way over here, then I can. Get all the way over there.
Nice visiting with you today, good luck with the new carb/fuel
@justforFUNdayNIGHT0:00
A refrigerator repairman was called to fix a mans noisy refrigerator. The repairman stared at the refrigerator for a moment, felt around the corner, grabbed his hammer, and gave the refrigerator a whack. The noise stopped. The repairman looked at the owner and said "it appears to be fixed, that will be $500". The man, in a very surprised tone "but you only hit it with a hammer". The repairman said "yes, but I know exactly where to hit the refrigerator".
I hope you break the record and will be watching. Bonneville Salt Flats are a 12 hour drive for me and am considering the trip. Good luck.
"Whack the refrigerator" lol.
12hr drive! If you can make the trip, then go!. He could do with some believers and support.
Expect it to be crazy and chaotic.
Win or fail, his attempt will go into the history books.
@@snakezdewiggle6084 I believe in Alex ..... I may go .... not sure, we have just one (running) car. There are land speed racers all around me. I live not far from the shop of Pete Aardema and Kevin Braun that will be in Salt Lake. They just set a few records at El Mirage. We'll see - it would be cool for sure.

Have a great visit to America and have super fast and excellent times on the track!
Wishing you the very best of luck...your dedication and knowledge is truly inspiring. ( Chaz, 51 years as a mechanic and engineer)
Everytime you used the vacuum while machining the exhaust bracket, all I heard was you going WOOOOOO! and it was the happiest thing I'd heard all day.
You cant convince me that it was the machine and not you.
Its the floor that Creaks 😂💨
Thanks for documenting all of the blood, sweat, and tears that got you to this point! It has really been inspirational!
The expansion chamber brackets should not be welded directly to the chamber. A plate skin should be welded to the chamber then the bracket welded to the plate skin. Ask me how I know. Good luck.
Good Luck mate 👍
We’re all behind u for that extra little push ✌️🇬🇧
0:02 YES I MISSED THE MUSIC!!!!! oh god I just wish to have the old chill jazz from about a year ago that got me into this channel.
Good luck at Bonneville. With the enthusiasm you always have, and tremendous effort, you deserve to win!
Looking forward to seeing you break the record, my TH-cam friend.
Old machinist trick here, when you machine steel parts with those long microscopic sheavings. Try to not rub your hands, and put a generous amount of hand or dishwasher soap on your hands. rub them very lightly and rince with COLD water (cold water closes the pores of the skin) This seems to lubricate the to be splinters and guide them in the drain instead of your skin. worked for me for a couples of decades. Keep up the good content!
It's going to be exciting to see how it's going to perform. Hopefully, there will be no rain this year.
After watching for a few years, you've inspired me to get back into mopeds for the first time in 20 years. I'm now building up a moped to go on cross-Europe trips with, It's going to look ridiculous with the top and side luggage cases. I'm tuning it for low end torque and fuel economy instead of top speed, so I stay within road-legal limits. I don't want it to get confiscated when I'm over 1000km from home. So far it's been fun.
I mean with a full license there's no power limit remember and the law is a little grey on can you travel across borders on a A1 license
@@jediknight1294 I have a AM licence, which may not be something every European country has, and is specifically for under 50cc and vehicles with a max construction speed of 45 km/h. Also the moped will be registered as max 45 km/h, so having it be able to go over that is asking for trouble with police, especially as a foreigner I can't count on any leniency.
@@dv7533 yeah I'd check whether the AM is recognised abroad I know some of those are odd.
You could consider riding on the trans euro trail. It is always nice to have a little sideroad adventure, and it is legal.
good luck ! i been a TIG welder sence 1985 ! dig a groove in the crank & pin fill it with weld i think it will hold BETTER / just a sugjestion not trying to tell you how to do the job 1 ! i mess with old McCulloch Karting engines love the 2 cycle ! GOOD LUCK AT THE RACETRACK DBN
We all here wish you safe travels and good luck at speed week.
We know you can do it..❤
Safe travel young man! I wish you success at Bonneville! Ride safe.
Nice to see the engine tuning of old.
Even if you don't get a record 100% engine reliability is a major win!
Good luck Alex!
Seen the rest of the video you kept the sensor in the same spot I love how you built that case and everything is nice work. I live in California it'd be nice if I go to Bonneville but I am disabled I can't travel so I love watching the show Good luck
Wishing you and the team the very best of luck Alex. Can't wait to see the next vlog 👍🏻
Guilty on the music! Anyway good luck friend. Time for that record!
Good luck, go fast, you thoroughly deserve great results.
Keep safe

If you get steel shards in your eye, you can “pull” them out with a neodymium magnet :)
Hope everything goes brilliantly.. :) been a long road to here... massive massive respect mr
Looking forward to seeing you at Bonneville, best of luck!
Getting something in your eye is a matter of odds & bad luck! I’ve been at home and had a piece of metal come off my shirt into my eye welll after I left the shop!
A lot of good decisions were made today 🎉
Rooting for you man!
Good luck, hope all goes well at bonneville.
may the strenght of thor be in that engine.
God speed I hope you get the record and recognition you deserve for all your hard work ❤
Good luck friend! We are all rooting for you and wish we could cheer you on in person on the flats! Enjoy yourself!!!!
Good morning and thanks for the video. I can't wait to see how the bike does when you are here!
Hope the engines arrives on time and in good condition. Really pulling for you this year to set some records. Wishing you Safe Travels and Good Luck!
A colleague watching me when i was watching this video at work 🤣 i love watching youre videos while i have my breaks to relax
#2strokeasmr 😄
Best of luck sir.
Always keep a clean magnet and a squirt bottle of saline rinse for your eyes in the shop.😅❤
Best of luck. Its been a long ride, been watch you since the beginning. I can't wait for you to get to the states and provide updates. Best of luck.
Good luck at Bonneville!
Now that you're welding it when you go to Bonneville take extra ones if you got it and if you put the sensory inside the case you might want to take an extra case with the sensor it'll be hard to get to it if that sensor fails you probably know that I love the work you're doing curious why you run the motor upside down plus I hope you break the record Good luck I really mean that
Thank you for bringing back the music - now we need the genre right also; jazz please 🎷
Exciting!!! I’m pumped!
Funny and shocking how similar our design language is in our minds. That exhaust bracket you made has the exact same look as a piece I made for a trailing arm on a vintage American car. I'd have to show you a picture!
Wishing you the very best of luck!
Good luck at Bonneville.
I remember ny Dad having some matches with a loop of horsehair attached one end, to drag across his eyeballs.
I got swarf stuck in my eye once, plucked it out and thought no more about it until i'd been out drinking. The eye was constantly streaming, so I left and got a friend to drive me to hospital. Waiting 0for the anaesthetic drops to work, the doctor left to grab something... and when she'd returned 20 seconds later, I'd fainted, fallen off the chair, and bitten my toungue! 😅
Good Luck Alex, let it fly!
Good luck and God's speed ........ Bonneville 24 let's go!!!!!!
i bought a huge N52 magnet to pull out the steel shavings from my arms and stuff after grinding...dont know if i would put it near my eyes though. Love the content and excited for the speed week video!
Quick random look, and 2stroke has dropped a video 😍🥰
(And yes, the music was epic 😂)
much luck, have fun, and kick some ass!
If you want to find the worlds fastest 2 stroke go to thailand.
My prediction for Bonivile, I predict that engine is nothing but problems and it spends more time apart than it does actually running. Pretty much the same as the last 2 years.
That shirt, uhhhh, it looks like it was made by a 5 year old using a kindergartener sticker book.
Awesome, dude! I'm rooting for you and your team. I would love to see y'all go out there and kick some ass!
If you use nitromethanol, you have to run it clean methanol/oil and then shut to fuelvalve and let it run dry..
Only oil stay in engine.
I would be concerned about the magnet pickup as the strength of a magnet decreases with heat. So, if the crank gets very "warm", the sensor may not reliably give you TDC.
I wish you were also going to BMST! I’d love to meet ya and see your bike in person ! You’re truly an inspiration to me 🙂
Wishing you success.
Ouch. Hope your eye has recovered. That sucks. Tear it up at Bonneville!
God speed mr Stuffing
good luck go fast !
I've had metal shavings in my eye twice. Used a magnet for 2 days each time to try to pull it out without success. Took a couple seconds for the eye doctor to get it out both times
I had the metal burrs in my eyes one time. Woke up next morning both eyes glued shut and BLIND. Scared as hell but after ER and drops I was OK. Can't be too careful with your eyes!
Best of luck. Will be watching.
I think three tacks on that pin, two will allow it to hinge across the tack line
The pin can only rotate over it's center, so a tack on the edge of the pin will sheer off if there is any rotation, in other words the pin can't hinge across the tack line
@@En-Beet remember he tapped two halves together and had to tap wedge them apart which means movement in that direction too
ohh... and he didn't even tack it... he did 2 short welds on each side haha
@@En-Beet remember he tapped two halves together and had to tap wedge them apart which means movement in that direction too
@@abyssmanur3965 Ahh... I see what you mean now!
I misstakenly thought you you meant two tacks as in total on the pin (both sides) and that it would hinge across those.
Thinking about it some more he might have done 2 tacks to allow for some movement o purpose, so that it is still possible to make some adjustments after welding it.
My favorite was always the jazz stuff. Somehow jazz and 2-stroke engines seemed to fit.
God speed sir
I'd be finishing as much as possible in Steel-It, and gaining their sponsorship.
@ 20:30 Biltema junk?
Looking forward to se u in the us videos.
That crank should go in the bin!
The British Leyland name for a hammer was a “Birmingham Screwdriver”. Keep on with brilliant videos.
Watching now....I've been waiting for the new episode 👌👍
Best of luck. What is the record now, and what are you hoping for? I've never heard you say before, I might have missed it, sorry.
Not one for commenting much. Good luck at Bonneville and hopefully you can set a record. But the metal splinters in your eye usually normally take about a week plus a lot of eye drops to get out. A lot easier to go to the doctors.
My eyes are pretty good at expelling stuff. I've had luck with a saline soaked q tip knocking a piece loose and I've used a neodymium magnet in a sterilized sandwich bag to get a piece before too. I still had to go to an eye doctor one time though.
25 July. Seen the problems your having with the pipe cracking. A Header flange with springs and a slip on pipe may solve the cracking. Also have you experimented with increasing the length of your stinger, I read somewhere years ago there is a formulas , I think it was length is 12.5 x diameter, (happy to be corrected ) may be 1 or 2 more horsepower gains there. Good luck and great work.
Ok, i admit it, i love music
Oh no... you said dhl for shipping. Never have i had a good or fast delivery with them. Best of luck to you man! I can't wait to see this thing finally get to make the pass it was meant to make all those years ago.
Buena suerte!!!! Espero con impaciencia tu report:)
Good luck looking forward to seeing you on the salt 👍
Grymt bra gjort av dig tycker jag. Kul att se hur du och ditt garage har utvecklats genom åren. Säger inte "L" ordet så jag jinxar utan önskar dig "brake a legg" 👍
It's the Headless Mechanic Show with the ridiculous mail slot video aspect.
btw if you are thinking about turbo piston systems, its easier to make a full turbine engine instead of adding any pistons. also if you want to read the rotation position, you can use a strip of metal like a resistance gauge trimmer.
How can U put inside aluminium camshaft with bearings?
Sure do, love Caribbean jams 😅
Thanks again 👍
Let it rip!
Good Luck :)
the crank flywheel trigger even though it is weight is usually setup to offset the other side of the crank/ e.g. the clutch chain side so removing the end-to-end balance . so, it's like this
20kg magneto ----------40kg clutch i wonder what bearing going to wear out first. that's not even a rod & piston in the mix. balancing should be done with rotational mass and longitudinal mass. the perfect balance is when everything runs at peak material integrity straight as possible. no deflection what's so ever. now to figure that out have fun haha
i dont know if you have room for it but you can use a longer set screw and put a locking nut on it. like the lathe slider keeway adjustment if ı could explain.
Good morning from Crow Oregon ❤🇧🇻🇧🇻
I’d like to see what your doing with the RS250 in the background 🏍️
Make no mistake people!
This is a World Record Event. It is no small thing, this is not trivial.
Win or fail, this will go into the History Books.
If you can get out to the Flats, go. He needs to see the physical believers, support of any kind.
Is there anyone who can, say, go out to the flats, and set up a live-stream, photography, Coffee Barrister, etc.
Plz...
i NEVER use glasses when i grind xD the only time ive gotten stuff in my eyes is with glasses.
DHL has one of the worst tracking information I have ever seen. I will receive an item two days before it says it is delivered. Especially bad when from out of country.I live in the USA.
I had a watch sent to me with dhl and it had no tracking at all just that the item hadn’t been scanned into the system yet then it turned up up my door and said delivered 🤦🏼♂️
I seen your run on the live stream you shut off just passed the line. Nice sound that bikes make what hsppend
Best of luck 🤞 🎉
I admit nothing Sir! Except I look forward to your videos! 😶🌫
Hopefully you armor the fuck out of the box you ship it in. Nice and solid to protect the crank
i've had to have rust rings ground out of my eye 2x, was wearing eye protection both times... sometimes the stuff bounces off the back side of the safety glass and into your eye...
is this a reupload or is this round 2 of trying to straighten his shaft
Well, well, well history in the making the only man going to Bonneville with pretty much unsuccessful of anything in attempt to break the sound barrier on a 50 cc scooter jalopy the odds don’t look good at all but I hope he does it good luck I honestly hope you do it
