    You will be glad to make this "cheap" but simple upgrade! The EBC sintered breaks are great, make sure to break them in before hammering on them! Great upgrade for the breaks on the Z!

      Thanks, I'll spend some time getting them broken in. Definitely made a huge difference on the front and it looks like the back will be the same.

    I’ve got a z900 and the abs on the back when I’m racing around the bendy roads isn’t great but the front is perfect, you can slam it on hard enough for the back wheel to lift but I think it would be impossible to do a front flip😆

    Is EBC one better than the stock ones which come with the bike?

      For light braking when just commuting then I can't say I notice the difference but if you're going at speed and need to stop in a hurry then the EBC is a much better brake. Loads of stop and no fade.

    Thanks for the video. Always great as always. I cant belive you only have little more than 500 subscribers.

      Thank you so much for your kind words. I might start to push it a bit more on social media but at the end of the day, it's just a hobby.

    Great stuff Mark. You ought to have more subscribers. Your a funny bloke as well. My problem with sintered pads is they wear out the rotors more quickly. I'm not into bike racing, so organic pads suit me fine because of that issue of wearing out the rotors. Also I like the softer braking feel of organic brake pads. Apart from that I'm an Aussie, and it's great you have shown a bit of the Gloucester countryside on the bike. I really find it interesting, as some of my English ancestors come from Stroud.

      Thankyou for your kind words. It would certainly be good to get more subscribers, I've got my sights set on 1000 at the moment.
      About the brakes; which I've got sintered pads on the front too and haven't noticed any undue wear but they do stop me real quick!

    Good video mark! Definitely got me thinking! I think one of the things I'm going to do this winter is put a steel line on the back because the rear brake has never impressed me, what do you think EBC versus vesrah?

    • @bikerevz
      @bikerevz  ปีที่แล้ว

      I don't know about EBC v Vesrah. To be honest I hadn't heard of Vesrah until now!! Maybe one to try next time. Definitely a good shout to get some stainless lines on it. Might have to try that in the summer.

      @@bikerevz I put a set on and they feel about the same as I remember EBC, mild slight improvement ect, I was having some issues with the stock pads lots of dust lots of noise and when I got them off they had unusual wear

    Gr8 vid. When you change the brake pads, you may want to change the fluids and brake lines as well. Original brake lines, over the years under usage, probably expanded; replacing with steel braided lines to get back (and maintain) original braking performances. I think you have expected too much from abs; its original purpose on any vehicle was to prevent lost of steering traction during heavy braking on wet surfaces, by not allowing the front wheel to lock up (when comparing to the rear wheel). It was extended to not allowing the rear to lock up (when comparing to the front) to reduce the possibility of fish tailing. Anyway, ride safe, god bless u.

      All good advice, thanks. Yes, I'll definitely have a look at stainless brake lines and new fluids next time around - one step at a time! As for ABS, well I don't reckon many riders are really sure what it actually gives them. Hopefully this will get riders thinking about it and maybe find out more.
