Good to know Dorman makes these. I will look them up for my 03' and 01' Excursion.

There is SEM Car interior and trim paint available in spray cans to make a perfect color match of the armrest. SEM has paint colors for all GMT 400 colors used on the interior. Did exactly that repair myself a while ago also with an aftermarket part that was TAN color and matched color perfectly to navy blue interior. To give the interior paint top durability I locked in the pigmented SEM paint with General Finishes Clear 2K Poly Top Coat, Water Based, Flat sheen - using isocyanate catalyst. (That may be cost prohibitive since the finishes with catalyst are only sold in 1 Gal jugs - and you need an HVLP spray rig - we use it on outdoor furniture all the time).

Definitely cost prohibitive. And very unlikely to last given the arm rest exterior is soft flexible vinyl, not rigid like interior trim. Originally they are molded to color, not painted, unlike some other interior trim pieces.

Ey, I did this but with my Sonoma. The bolts where that it screws into the door by the handle loves to snap into pieces like that there. I see that it's abs plastic and I used abs cement to chemically weld it back on the driver door handle I cemented it and held it there then after that I went over all the cracks with the cement and added metal washers front and back to both sides and both holes. Still is strong today I did that a while ago. Tho I was lucky that the bolts held all the broken pieces for the past 26 years on the driver side. The passenger side not so much but I have an idea tho to try to fix that, also added new clips and damn does it feel GREAT now. There's still a flexy bit in the door that I missed completely but it's minimal. I'll get that when I put new speakers in it because the driver door one is pretty much dying or dead already even. I'll fix that flexy bit then imma do the passenger side soon one day. For the Sonoma there ain't no replacement which bites big time.

How’s it going mr shock! Just out of curiosity I was wondering if you remember your 6t40 trans service video but I was really hoping you would remember how long it to get the trans temp to 86c. Thank you!!

That's a very old vid. I don't recall off hand, but it does depend on the outside ambient weather temperature wise regardless of the transmission/transaxle model. I would expect around at least an hour up to one and a half in Summertime leaving it in place without driving the vehicle. If you read thru the comments on the video you're asking about you'll see problems with some low end scan tools reading the temperature correctly.
You might try posting a comment on that video instead of this unrelated one, for what others have experienced there.

Why not transfer the mounting pieces to the old one?

It's a one piece molded part, you cannot disassemble it without damaging it (or f'king it up cosmetically). Given the cost of the reproduction part, it's really not worth attempting.
