This was incredibly fun to work on.
For those who don't know, Undertale Yellow: Sunshine is an UTY AU following a "what if" scenario. As described by the official document, “What if the UTY Main cast reaches the surface and gets a well-deserved happy ending? Clover and Kanako could be revived and reunited with their loved ones on the way!”
Awesome, so it's bittersweet and mostly light hearted, right? Well yes, if you don't also account the OTHER Route included.
Rainy Days is an alternative route for Undertale Yellow: Sunshine, in which Frisk goes on a no-mercy run specifically targeting the Undertale Yellow cast. Some of the cast members are even given entirely new and unique designs, including Clover and Kanako. When I saw the design for Rainbow Radiance (Kanako) I had the idea to make a concept of what a song could sound like, one thing lead to another and here we are.
I had taken a HUGE amount of inspiration from A Mother's Love for this and is probably one of my favorite things to have composed within the past few years. Huge thanks to the several music pals I had asked for feedback from in order to make this sound as good as it possibly can be. But that's enough rambling from me, hope everyone's days stay sunny! Algorithm Stuff
UNDERTALE is a video game released on multiple platforms in 2015 by Toby "Radiation" Fox. A game where you fall into a mountain filled with all kinds of monsters. In this RPG you have the option to follow your own path by being able to choose to fight or spare the monsters that block your path. Depending on your actions, certain interactions within the game will change and can even earn you unique endings. But just remember, it's a game where nobody has to die!
Undertale Yellow is a fan-made prequel to the original Undertale released in 2023, directed by MasterSwordRemix. The game follows the adventure of the 6th human who fell into the underground, Clover. Explore through the Underground once more and visit places both familiar and unseen from the original game! Meet new faces such as Dalv, Martlet, North Star, & Ceroba and learn their stories. With an original soundtrack larger than that of the original, unique story, and beloved characters, it exploded in popularity and has garnered an incredible following. The game is currently free to download off of Game Jolt.

tbh, i was kinda skeptical clicking on this. none of the undertale yellow aus i’ve seen have been very good, but the music and concept actually are really good for this. justice out of 10

this songs beat drop goes from the melancholy melody of justice into the upbeat kanako theme, which is a reflection of a mother’s love’s where the reverse happens. absolutely BRILLIANT! great job on this song, sounds amazing every time i listen to it.
OMG the Dalv and Snowdin leitmotifs, yes! Justice on the phase 2 drop was an amazing choice too! Absolutely beautiful song!
dude the waltz part where it used the ceroba motif was actual peak. good stuff!!

This was really awesome! As someone helping out on an UTY AU myself I should look into Sunshine more. I’ve seen Mina’s art and it looks really stunning, but I had no idea what the story really was aside from it involving Clover and Kanako since they were the only ones I’ve seen so far from Sunshine. This track hit hard and the brief storyline is quite promising! It sounds like a fun look. Definitely keep up the great work!

Oh I’ve heard of the Undertale: Yellow Sunshine AU! Isn’t it an AU where Clover and Kanako get revived at the end of a True Pacifist Run? It sounds so cute!
This theme really captures the feeling of hope and happiness from the premise of the AU, as well as the lingering feeling that something is wrong… Or that something bad might happen. It’s overall just amazing!
There is also rainy days where the same thing happens but in a no mercy run

i dont comment on these much, but i had to give my props here! this is so good!! everyone's motifs sound SO GOOD put together like this, without losing the dramatics of the implied scenario at all. Particular shoutout to the Protocol/Apprehension and Guns Blazing/End of the Line motifs, but start to finish this is all beautiful work! Excited for the AU!

The title reminds me of a butterfly from my favorite 2d sandbox game
I had the same idea as Undertale Yellow: Sunrise's, but the monsters don't make it to the surface, at least not the surface they were expecting. The characters are still the same as UTY's, but there would be a new ending, and you don't play as clover.
