Wow internal of the lighthouse truly immaculate, brass work something to behold. Such pride in their work. Great video and memories.

Thank you very much. Yes, the Keepers at Gibraltar certainly earned every penny of their wages, that's for sure. Cheers and take care.

I never expected this one to be part of your lighthouse Grand Tour.
I am so glad you got to film.

I am glad you have included this in your Grand Tour. Lovely lighthouse with a curious lens configuration. Thank you for creating this video.

Thank you very much. If it wasn't for the very generous people at GB Airways that gave me the free ride, I don't think that this video would have happened. Those lens manufacturers at Chance Brothers in England were special too. I wish there was a film or video out there, showing the process. Cheers and stay safe.

I saw the Gibraltar lighthouse in 1995 on a school trip, and also stood inside a massive GIB Tel satellite dish on the hillside - long gone now, I suspect. Lovely stuff.

School trip in 1995?, I'm suddenly feeling very old now LOL. Thank you very much for your kind comments. Cheers and stay safe.

Brilliant, as ever! 👏👏👏 I didn't know about the libraries, that's fascinating - what was the book selection like?! The hotel painter 😯🤣🤣🤣!! Ha ha, yes, spotted the Labrador! 🐾😉🤗

Thank you very much, glad you liked it. I can't recall any of those boxes that were still in Lighthouses as ever being anything but empty. Having said that, I found an account that said the books were a mixture of theology, science, mathematics, novels, and magazines! Cheers and take care.

Thank you very much Barrie, much appreciated. Always great to hear from you. Gibraltar was a dream location, and for some, a dream posting. That lens is now removed, replaced by an LED and the lens has gone into the local University of Gibraltar. Cheers and stay safe.

Nice job! I didn't know the lighthouse had a typhon horn type, it did have the electric one up until a couple a years ago and now sadly its completely silent - shame. 1993, that boys haircut in town, terrible hairstyle. I don't think the town has changed much since then, since we have visited it on Cruises a least twice. We thought it was a bit like Brighton with heat, one of the shops used a font from at least the late 70's, it was like being in a time warp. Thanks for sharing 🙂

Thank you very much, especially that the video triggered all those memories. I myself hadn't seen a hot chestnut man for donkies years. "Brighton with heat", that was a good one, yes very much so. Thanks again, stay safe and take care.

Thank you very much , glad you saw it too. It's great how nature can make these shapes so perfectly, in the dog's case, even down to the tears streaks from the eye. Cheers and stay safe.

@@PeterHalil There is the very distinct face of an elderly lady in a cliff face near to Criccieth. I cannot remember where now although seeing it on a number of times. It was more prevalent on a wet day. I am pretty sure it was on a T junction somewhere between Criccieth and Caernarvon.

@@liamkatt6434 Thanks for that, there are quite a few little gems like that in this wondeful country of ours. Thanks again, and stay safe.
