Albert Göring was born on 9 March 1895 in Berlin, Germany to German parents. He was German most of his life and only had an Austrian citizenship much later on.
I live in the same city where Mozart was born, actually about 3 kilometers from the house itself. And given that I hold an Austrian passport, I'm gonna go out on a whim and say that he was Austrian.
@@FRISHR Mozart himself saw himself as German, his father was from Augsburg and the father was more important than the mother at that time, Salzburg was not part of Austria at that time (and even until today Salzburg was part of Bavaria longer than of Austria). To say he was Austrian because it is now part of Austria is like saying Poland is to blame for the First World War because most of the Prussian land now belongs to Poland. Is that what you want to say? What is today is irrelevant. What counts is what was then and what he said... therefore he is German.
Who’s your favourite famous Austrian?

Albert Göring, one of the most neglected Austrians.

Still he saved as Austrian more lives than many of the famous Austrians of your list.
@@morlewen7218well this is a list of famous people, not a list of how many lives people saved.
Niki Lauda, Adolf Hitler, Felix Baumgartner, David Alaba...
Niki Lauda?
Sorry, his fame really didn’t carry on after his time when compared to the top 10 above.
Mozart was/is German
He was born during the Holy Roman Empire era in Salzburg, which is now part of modern day Austria.
