@@MRGREGSHOWTO Got it done. Easy. Owe you a beer! I was surprised how cheap the switch unit was (maybe that's why they have a reputation for failing). The switch had a bit of extra movement side-to-side which messud-up the connectors. I pulled the old one apart (of course) and the pivot mechanism is not a very robust design - need to be careful to not push the switch to the side to protect it. I ended up gaining extra slack in the throttle cables by un-screwing the cables from the throttle housing under the seat. Thanks again
Appreciate the video, I'm trying to do that exact replacement myself. I'm running into a problems and I'm curious if you ran into it as well. The assembly won't fit flush when I put it back on. Maybe I'm missing something obvious, but it looks like there's a little metal pin on the bottom that prevents it from going together flush when it's around the handlebar.
The pin goes into a hole to hold the switch in the correct place - stop it from rotating while in use. I had to have a look/think too when doing mine, but once the pin went into its hole, all was good.
Dang, partner! That stinks. It’s not a super tough or expensive fix, but definitely very inconvenient. Good luck on the future sale!

Just happened to us today, someone wants to come over tomorrow , but you guessed it. Went out to start her up but turned over and wouldn't start. Pig. No fuell pump priming noise so I'm guessing it's the kill switch . Uk 🇬🇧
Hey partner! I bought it on eBay (link below). Best of luck and thanks for watching! www.ebay.com/itm/362861475824?mkcid=16&mkevt=1&mkrid=711-127632-2357-0&ssspo=PE9UD81mRbm&sssrc=2349624&ssuid=fp9UoM5PTYm&var=&widget_ver=artemis&media=COPY
Thanks Greg - that looks much easier than I imagined and sure beats a trek across town etc.
Absolutely, partner! Not bad at all. You can too!

Howdy partner! I didn’t have that problem, maybe rotate the assembly a little and see if the pin goes into a divot somewhere. Let us know how it goes!

is it necessary to disconnect the battery before doing this?
It wouldn't hurt, but I don't think its necessary. Let us know how the replacement goes for you!
Hello, by any chance do you know the size of the two phillip screws?
Hey partner! I’m not sure, but I’d imagine a smaller #2 Phillips would work. Good luck!
@@MRGREGSHOWTO Thank you for replying!
Is the same item good for the 2020 model??
Hey partner! I am pretty sure it is the same item, but you may want to verify. Good luck my friend!
I'm having trouble with mine as well
Howdy, partner! Sorry to hear that, but it isn’t a terribly difficult fix. Best to do it before you get stuck somewhere.
so thats whats been happening to me... i thought i was crazy because i couldnt even push start it
Nope, not crazy! Hope you can get this all fixed!
My fuel pump isnt even coming on.
Howdy, partner! Is that before or after you turn on the kill switch? If the switch is doing nothing, it is probably bad.
I turn on the kill switch and i dont hear anything but a ticking noise like it isnt making a connection.@@MRGREGSHOWTO
Why You use kill-switch every time You turn off the engine? Use only key to shut it off… kill-switch is for emergency situation.
Thats another option, partner! Thanks for the info.
@@MRGREGSHOWTOi use the kills witch every time. I didn't realize it was emergency only.
@@Xraysinghell Thanks, partner! Certainly no issue with using regularly. Stay safe!
What tools are needed?
Howdy, partner! Just basic hand tools, needle nose pliers, and an allen wrench set should have you good to go!
