I really hope you enjoy looking at the iSteady XE kit that Hohem were kind enough to send me.
Now you know me, I am not a tech' expert by any means, but I did enjoy getting to know how to use this and to put this video together for you. I won't be using it for my wild camps as I need to be able to use my mic (for that pesky wind noise!) and obviously I go out in all sorts of awful weather, but I will use it when I do reviews and walks to improve the quality of my filming for you.

Pleased to see you playing with your new battery-operated gizmo. Looks like a clever piece of kit with all of its many functions and looks like you’ve managed to get yourself round most of its foibles and fed in one or two innuendos. If this were the 1990s, I could do the joke about what is an innuendo - an Italian suppository Hahahaha. OK maybe it wasn’t that funny then either TTFN.

I love the tracker part because I film for the Donkey rescue I work with and well Donkeys are impossible to film..

I have the DJI one that is very similar. The best thing for me is that if I just use the super steady function on my phone, it can't shoot wide-screen and reduces the footage to 1080, whereas the gimbal keeps everything super steady without the need to activate super steady on the phone/GoPro etc.(handy for when walking and taking to camera, the wide shot means you're always in the frame) Also, with it's handy little tripod, you can just plonk it down and record, then just pick it up and walk with it again. They definitely have their uses, Gimbals and I think better than a selfie stick personally. Hope you get lots of fun out of your new toy 👍

You have more patience than me, I've come close to throwing our gimbal in the river in frustration 🤣 (different brand tho) Too many techy things to remember and the thing has a mind of its own and a personal grudge against me, I swear 🤣 Still, takes lovely video if you have more patience and skill than I do lol
They definitely take a lot of practice and patience… I can totally understand your frustration and they do seriously have a mind of their own. This is definitely simpler than the other one I’ve used but I won’t be taking it on camps.

That was kinda the point that without a mic the gimbal doesn’t really work 🤷🏼♀️
I'm not great with gimbles my mate gave the the dji think it's called and didn't want to track my face tryed looking for the app doesn't exist and linked it up to bluetooth still didn't work so gave it back lol still like the old school way but hopefully Ill find a gimble that can track face and do what I want but this looks a good gimble
They definitely have a mind of their own and have their place. I won’t use it all the time for all the reasons I mentioned but this one is quite simple to use. The DJI is very complicated! 🥰🥰

I already have this stabilisers...Actually after I bought it I felt very sad because the app is unfriendly...I tried many time to open tha hohem camera but it won't let me in..The stabilisers and my phone are connected well but only the app does not cooperative...Atleast it support your own camera but need to be connected

Nope this one is just for phones lovely. Lucky you if you have a GoPro though!! 😍😍
They do one for a gopro. I have one. Problem again is you can't use an external mic or the media mod or even fit the foam gopro cover for wind noise which is really frustrating. I cut my foam cover to help but not ideal.

see, i have a samsung S9, three buttons on one side, so i usually have to offset it in the holder, so as not to push the lower button... which sounds like this gimbal might not like it.
