Exactly... 99.9% of the time that run scores.... Absolutely unbelievable play by the first baseman. Not to mention the catcher. Try catching a ball in a catchers mitt and swiping full speed. That ball pops out most of the time.

I'm an LSU fan, but props to Wake Forest. This was by far the toughest side of the bracket. LSU was #1 all season then went into a brief slump to put them on the same side of the bracket as Wake. Vols got hot at the of the season and ended up on the same side as Wake. I wish these two teams could have played in the finals.

Shades of Warren Morris in the 1996 Championship Game over Miami & now it is Tommy White who sends the Fighting Tigers of Louisiana St. to the 2023 NCAA CWS Final against Florida with a 2-0 win in 11 innings.
I understand that Warren Morris will ALWAYS hold a higher place in LSU history and I get why...I'd NEVER presume to take anything away from an LSU legend like him. BUT I'd just like to put on record how epic this is because going into this game LSU was clinically DEAD after fighting so hard just to get to this point and Paul Skenes' pitching absolutely saved this game for the Tigers. Then Milazzo gets hurt and gets taken out of the game which adds even more drama for Tigers fans. Then Tommy was able to do THIS and save the series for the Tigers, who eventually won the whole thing after fighting tooth and nail out of the loser's bracket. OVERALL, after you put all the pieces together from the whole post-season, I'd argue 2023 is a better story.

I didn't have the opportunity to watch this game but I'm sure there were opportunities on both sides long before this at bat to change the outcome of this game. Just like there were opportunities all season long......At the end of the day only one team will win their last game of the year.
good ol phil knight owner of the ducks franchise got his team in the gator bracket. the problem is oru did not cooperate! cws issue's been there for some time though, they can beat the better team when they need too. i was just surprised as heck oru messed up knights plans to reach omaha!
