@Arielpaints Hi, I'm a makeup artist that's new to face painting 🎨 I'm wondering what you'd recommend to clean the brushes with as this is something that I have always struggled with esp if the makeup/paint has any oily quality to it. Thanks! 🌸
@@HippieVikingShop I use an organic soap and typically water based paint. The oily paint us usually wax makeup and sometime comes off brushes better with just water but can be much harder to use on skin and to blend. Most professional face painters and going to stick to water based and powder products.
I’m a nanny who draws a lot with kiddos when I watch them & a parent asked for me to do face painting at a child’s party this weekend & I had no idea where to start, I was panicking, my anxiety in my head was going everywhere because i didn’t know what to start with but im so grateful for this video, thank you thank you 🙏🏻
I agree 100% on the Tag paint! I'm not crazy about the white and black on their own but the cakes are fantastic. Also, I just started using the Kraze paint because I won a couple of cakes and I love them! However, my sister and I tried the neon splitcake palette from Kraze and it's not that great :/ I won't give up my Leanne's palettes for neons. lol
Thank you for this detailed video, I really appreciate it! I'm having a hard time finding the Lowe Cornell brush you recommend, do you know if it was replaced with another style or name?
So I heard that they are coming back and have been rebranded. The only place I saw that was on instagram and it was The Face Paint Shop in the EU. However you can get good brushes at silly farm too and The Face Painting shop (different then the one I mentioned about) has awesome pink tip brushes.
I use the Athena painting pallette, I believe it is oil based/cream and you don't need water. Decent pigment good price. Good amount for personal use but not super large amount.
So what is your insurance situation? I volunteered to paint my daughters class faces to get some practice for their good behavior reward. It drummed up some interested parties though! What do i do for insurance?
I have a beauty basic insurance which is similar to a makeup artist. If you search some Facebook groups about insurance you'll get LOTS of good information and options to look at.
Since I’m U.S. based I don’t have access to Amazon UK. You’ll have to search for like items or source them from The Facepainting Shop that is in the UK. They have an amazing selection.

I don't use cream face paint and I'm not sure anyone else would want my makeup tips but if I get more people asking I'll make a video.

How old do you have to be to do face painting gigs
If you’re getting paid then it will depend on employment laws in your state.
