    If that's the 1000kg version it's the same lift I have... Brilliant bit of kit, you'll love it.
    The only issues I have are the chock is too high so it's REALLY close to the front discs and I had to drill a couple of holes for tie down straps to secure the bike.

      Ah, just watched the rest of the video and you discovered the bits I pointed out... Watch out for the lift lever, you will walk into it and it will sting 👍

    Congrats on the ramp! I hope it works out well for you. I have a neighbor that has one bolted to his garage floor; he actually parks his bike to one side of the garage and puts his pickup truck over the ramp when its not in use. comes in handy for oil changes, chain cleanings, etc.

    Great addition Ant. If it’s any consolation my garage is equally as full, unfortunately not with bikes, but with my wood working tools and machinery and all the crap that might just come in handy!

    I saw someone had fitted rubber caps meant for the bottom of a cane. Put them on the screw down feet to keep the lift from sliding forward when you put a bike on it.

    Congratulations! Have been trolling your channel for a while. Love your builds. I wish I could afford 1) a bike and 2) to turn it into one of your masterpieces. My favorite thus far is The Warrior. Keep on going. Lovely bikes!

    Looks pretty much identical to the harbor freight lifts that I have in my shop. I actually use a loading ramp for a truck to put my bikes on the lift to get a bit longer and more gradual angle to the table. My ZX actually will drag and get hung up if I use the stock ramp. Like that color way more then my red one though lol. Congrats on the lift. One thing I did also was get rid of that stock wheel clamp and got a trailer wheel choke.

    Very nice! A lift was the best addition I've got. One suggestion is to replace the wheel clamp with a roll in wheel chock. They work much better than the clamp ones and much easier to use!

    mechanic/machinist 45 years, I went to harbour freight in Gaitherburg,Maryland USA... the manager told me that I was too handicapped to own a motorcycle lift. If I can't load it, I can't buy it. He was about 30 years old and at least 150 lbs. over weight. Wish I could be there when it catches up to him. Sorry to share my bitterness, and I can't wait to see yours in action

    This is identical to my new lift, which is a SwitZer Hydraulic Bike Lift rated at 1000lb and supplied by KMS Brands on eBay for the princely sum of £405. They also do a 800lb version. It has a couple of issues - the front wheel lock does not hold the weight of my bike upright by itself (Honda ST1300) and the side stand misses the edge of the bench so making placing it on the bench essentially a two person job. Also, the centre stand of my bike fouls the rear opening of the bench, so it cannot stand on its centre stand. To get round this, I use a secondary scissor lift to support the weight centrally. As someone has suggested I am getting a new front wheel chock which will secure the front wheel when you ride on to the bench.

    • @tazman8697

      Did you ever think of bolting an extension side piece on to the side of your lift where the side stand goes?

    • @PDG1956
      @PDG1956 3 ปีที่แล้ว
