Jim Cornette has always been the real deal. These segments involving his territory runs are educational and often hilarious. From the beginning, he put up with everything thrown at him. He never gave up and kept pushing. Folks like Russo (and some others) have no idea how much Jim learned and contributed. He deserves respect whether you like him or not.

Jerry Jarrett gathered all the wrestlers maybe late 80s early 90s and told them that if they were on steroids they needed to get off them if they wanted to go to the WWF. Dutch Mantell said “Jerry the way you’re paying us we’re not even on food.” 😅

I love these programs. And as a fan of both Brian and Jim I can say that it's refreshing to hear them reviewing something that they both enjoy. Don't get me wrong, hearing them vent about modern wrestling is indeed entertaining, but sometimes it is fun to hear them in a good mood.

Also when they can appreciate parts of modern wrestling I loved it when Jim liked the match between Randy, Kevin and Logan at Wrestlemania 40 for the United States as he usually dislikes Triple Threat bouts

    - Cornette's venture to Georgia

I love these omnibus deep dive things Jim does cause it gives fans an idea of what towns he went to and how much he got paid, which you can tell wasn't the best. Steve Austin for example as he has told many times that he was basically starving to death as I betcha most of the other guys were also. I don't know how most of the guys that went through the Memphis territory were able to live through all the bad pay offs from Jarrett and all that other stuff. Jim's knowledge of all the things behind the scenes really intrigues me because he worked behind the scenes years later as the booker and agent respectively.

Jerry Jarrett told his roster when he was getting in with the WWF that some of them may have a chance to work there, so make sure they’re not on steroids or any drugs. Dutch Mantell stood up and said “Hell Jerry, the way you’re paying us, we ain’t even on food!”
