Next, the EDS trio shares their thoughts on Nicki Minaj’s Rosa Parks lyric that received major backlash online and discuss Nicki’s response to the controversy. Later in the show, the crew reacts to Billie Eilish’s Vogue interview, where she accused today’s rappers of lying about guns and women in their music. The crew closes out the show with a couple of ‘Quick Hits’ regarding Pastor Troy doubling down on his homophobic comments and an unknown rapper slipping a USB into DaBaby’s pocket during a performance in Miami.

But I think AK also needs to let his nuts hang, stoop to their level if he must, but if it’s like this, I don’t see this shows longevity, or even legitimacy, like the Budden podcast, with all its opinionated takes and faults, people still rock with the show because they speak with authority and have legitimate debates. Even to the dismay of joe budden, or any other member for that matter, they get called out on their shit if they disagree and let each other talk.
They hold each other accountable, while no one in everyday struggle holds their cohost accountable, that’s the moderators job to point out inconsistencies or too much bias, but I feel Nadeska is their to sort of protect Wayno, to deflect, or to criticize Akademiks position for Wayno, which she fa sho never fails to put what Ak says under scrutiny.

Action Scott yes, I completely agree! The check from complex better be a grip, otherwise I think Ak is diminishing his name value being associated with this show. Now, if he’s getting paid BONKERS money, then yeah, stay and make your money, or at least negotiate your contract to allow you to either make your own show, with complex or contractually make it to where u can work with another company, or fully develop his TH-cam channel like joe budden, if he wasn’t that type of show, or content like he’s done in the past, just without the “narrating over clips of gifs and loops” since that’s style is played out, which to his credit, he originated it. But he should be on the forefront of the TH-cam stratosphere, and be the black Pewdipie, or the hip hop pewdipie. Which in the long run he will be in that league when it comes to the paycheck, I doubt complex is spending that much on the contract.
And well, JAY Z is powerful lol. Dude black balls people like it’s on sale for 3.99! Or he can at least make it hard for you in the industry. He blackballed Joe, and I’m sure there are others I just don’t have on the top of my head, but he for sure gets down, on a corporate and street level. You don’t get to his level without being able to step on a few heads along the way, but that’s too his credit. I would definitely fear jay not for the man himself, but the name brand, his investors, lawyers that are sharks, street dudes that are grimy, people willing to kill for him! But I also don’t think Jay is so sensitive that criticism would get to him. I think his opinion of respect, or lack of it would be like in Joe Buddens case, where joe declines Jays involvement on the Pump it Up remix, whether for monetary reasons or because joe didn’t want jay. To say no to jays verse, or when you mess with him at a business level, like Kanye’s rant, that stuff would sure piss of jay
