You commented this quite some time ago but i'm glad to know that i'm not the only one who imagined a fridge wearing high heels and a tank tread boa killing it on the catwalk.
Now that you mentioned it, the R-2 was used to store the Tronium Engine for the SRX.
It may be not much, but probably inside the R-2 is a huge cooler to stabilized the highly unstable Tronium Engine. Since SRW OG is the time Tronium is still experimented as most but little mechs can use Tronium or EOTs
Rai is truly a bad ass,His mech looks like a Refrigerator that has been color to look like Megaman with some cannons strapped to it's back.
The only theme known to override Trombe, and it belongs to Elzam's brother.

I always put Garnet in Rai's Shutzwald and had a Shutzwald squad of Radha and Garnet.
It works surprisingly well.

I never got the sense that Leona was interested in him romantically, unless I missed it in the anime/manga. Seemed more of a sisterly worry since she was always trying to get him to make up with Elzam.

This is the only song in OG2 that overrides Trombe! At the end of 'Rest In The Cradle', Rai finally beats out his brother.

then Trombe re-ensues, which is fitting since if you've barely been grinding Elzam will likely kill Rai on the second attack

To be fair, I lowkey ship them, considering they have lived in the same house, sharing the frustration of being in people's shadows and not having any chances to get to the ones they are in love with.

I find something funny about this song...Rai has an overall ice theme right? Cool as Ice/Ice Man as his theme, a mech that looks like a fridge, except with MASSIVE SHOULDER CANNONS, and an overall cold personality. Now here's the interesting part, if my memory is correct, his nickname, "Rai" means "Lightning" in Japanese. Try figuring THAT one out folks.
