Buddhist Boat Festival in Thailand - Chak Phra ชักพระ

In October there is a Buddhist festival, in Suratthani สุราษฎร์ธานี, called Chak Phra ชักพระ. The festival is celebrated all around Southern Thailand, but the largest celebration is here in Suratthani City close to the Tapi River แม่น้ำตาปี. Floats and boats parade monks and Buddhists though the city in celebration of their faith.
