This is still the pinnacle of TH-cam animation, or at least very damn near it. Hell, it's better animated than the CalArts bullshit we've gotten since 2010.
For those curious about the creator, his name is Fred Perry. His main comic is called "Gold Digger". From Wiki: Counting all the regular series issues, in addition to all the connected limited series, annuals, special issues, and handbooks produced by the author, Gold Digger is the most extensive, long-running, self-contained North American comic book in history that has been consistently written and drawn by the original creator.
Every time I see this I'm always taken by how much character everyone in the animation has, enough to where you can figure out their entire personality. You got the goal obsessed captain, whose ignorant to everything save for searching for treasure. You've got the girl whose in love with the captain and apparently it's very confident with or without clothes. You've got the comedic relief crotch ninja whose probably skilled at everything but never talks and seems funny so no one takes him seriously. Finally you've got the fat guy, similar to Scruffy from Futurama, rarely appears but when he does he just seems kinda ... Odd.
For context, and baring mind this is Fred Perry, and this from Gold Digger-these are Leprechaun Ninja Pirates. They have a ship that turns into a 'Giant' robot that stands barely at the same height of the average human. And the dude with the spade in his groin's name is O' Schwing. He's essentially Roronoa Zoro but with his third sword is where you think it is. You have learned this day.

Seriously, this song just makes me want to do some illegal downloading. I know that they probably called it "pirating" in order to attempt to equate it with theft (which it is objectively not, illegal downloading is infringement of monopoly and has nothing to do with theft at all) but all that they achieved with me is making it sound cool and thus making me want to do it even more. And unlike sea pirating, I do not even have to steal anything!
The use of the term "pirate" in copyright matters is actually over a century old, but originally referred to the publishers, etc who actively profited off it and not those that bought the unauthorized product. Things became more muddled once home recording became a thing.
Yep, because theft means you have the thing and the owner doesn't. Pirating means you have the thing while the owner has the original thing. Different situations and different illegal action. Sorry for bad grammar, am still learning.
Well this was an odd thing to suddenly be nostalgic about. I remember trying to find the uncensored version when I was younger. Ah, me, never change, never change.

I turn around and say "nah that ship can wait"
I would try my best to attempt the same thing but probably fail
Finding the polished version of this is like finding the One Piece.
This is INSANELY well animated. Especially the captain's walk cycle animation. I absolutely love it!!
Remember my friend, you can’t steal from a corporation. It’s called “reclamation” 😏
Yep, because theft means you have the thing and the owner doesn't. Pirating means you have the thing while the owner has the original thing. Different situations and different illegal action. Sorry for bad grammar, am still learning.
I use the term "i don't have money"
bullshit. if you take something without paying for it even though you're supposed to, that's theft no matter how you slice it.
I might be 10 years late to the party, but I love it none the less
Well this was an odd thing to suddenly be nostalgic about. I remember trying to find the uncensored version when I was younger. Ah, me, never change, never change.

I just got recommended this in 2023 and DAAAAMMNNN the nostalgia hits hard just like a muay thai champion kicking you in the shin.
The fact that the original got deleted saddens me to no end. The original was such a classic.
I’m sure it’s still somewhere. On some archive site. You think it could be found somewhere?
Oh god, it’s here, on TH-cam.

Yeah we need this reanimated with the Straw Hats.

This song along with the animation are permanently burned into my memory.
I'm not sure why TH-cam recommended me this, but it's both unexpectedly fantastic in the animation department and a shitpost well worth the watch, so I have to enjoy it.

Wow. So after years, when I had practically forgotten about this work of art; it just so happened to show up on my recommended list, as luck would have it. And even after such a long time, this animation still looks so good and smooth. I'd definitely say that this aged like fine wine. Props to Fred Perry.
I'm still amazed at how identifiable fred perry's style is even though this thing is 8 years old.
okay years after I watched it as a kid, I'm still amazed by the animation quality and weirded out by the.... silly acts of those pirates comrades '-'
This animation is really smooth and bouncy, very visually appealing. Great work!

@@ZaZi-Zeta01 Nah, iirc it's always cencered like this on Fred Perry's channel. And for why he deleted it, it was because of COPPA or something back then, I'm not really sure of the details.
