A tip from my world (artist) grab a sheet of plain paper to rest your hand on. It will stop skin oils getting on the mylar. Skin oil is acidic and will also damage the mylar. It will also reduce smeering
@@Thesweaterfactoryarchivists also wear cotton gloves to stop them damaging the papers they work with, so that's another option. But a sheet of printer paper is cheaper.
I didn’t realise about the Mylar sheets being so potentially fragile, I’m going to store them properly now, thank you for that good storage advice.

What can you use to mark the mylar if you dont have the special pen? I have a ton of mylar sheets for my 950i second hand but no pen
