  • Want to learn how to make your own relaxed roman shade without doing any sewing at all? Well, in this video, I will show you how I made a beautiful curtain for my daughter-in-law, Kaylyn. It is super easy! I will teach you how to make a pattern for any window, including the lining pattern, and how to gather the curtain up to create a gorgeous window treatment.

    Your sweet grands... Adorable. She was speaking your language. LOL.... Beautiful curtains & I always love your classic clean simple style. My husband and I are starting to build our empty nesters house. Oh the decisions.. flooring, crown molding, curtains, paint colors tile etc.. Scary task. I may have to call your shop. I live in the Chattanooga area!!! Lucky for me!!!

    Jennifer, you are amazing! The Roman Shade is perfect in that spot. The grandkids are adorable, and it looks like you have an apprentice in the wings. Love your high-end style and the fact that you can do it yourself seems to keep you grounded and approachable. Wonderful video. Thank you so very much.

    Your faux shade looks beautiful, great fabric choice.
    I copied this shade today but, I am having such difficulty with the sides pulling forward and towards the center of the window. I’m not sure what is causing the issue, may be due to the weight of the fabric (lined linen/cotton mix) and pleats? Was I supposed to wrap the side fabric around the back of the board in addition to the sides to help hold up the weight of the pleats? Thank you for your help!

    Beautiful project!! I will have to attempt this, thank you for the tutorial! I have a question, I would like a light and airy feel but am unsure as to what type of liner I should use, any suggestions? Thanks again!

      @JenniferDecorates  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      If you ask a worker at your craft store they will direct you to the liner options- just choose a thin one!:)

    Hi Jennifer, I'm going to be repurposing an old curtain panel to make mine. My question is: can I just use the hem they put in and turn it up so that it catches the lining or should I cut it off to have a raw edge to hem like you did? Also, the panel is a rod pocket top, can I use that at the top or will it be too bulky?

    I love this. I was hoping you had a video on how to do the same on an inside mount. I'd also like to use foam core and command strips to fasten to the inside of the window.. Is that even possible, for a rental?

    • @JenniferDecorates
      @JenniferDecorates  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Hmm, I'm not sure about a rental property- I would ask the landlord!

    Thank you nice. Video but you skipped putting together all the folds. And how you fix the shade to have the folds hang right.
