This was such a delightful pattern - was detailed enough to keep me paying attention but easy enough to memorize and take it on the go! I don’t think I would’ve ever used this yarn if it wasn’t in the kit but now I have a new favorite yarn. Way to go, Toni!!!
I have to say Toni until about a year ago I had never done a C2C. I struggle with the turning part, I just couldn't get a straight edge. Then I watched Juan @ the yarn addict and I kinda got it, but not good enough. Off to one of my favorites, Crystal @BOD. She is the one I learnt from, and with starting from Juan's small swatch, I continued with Crystal. It was a successful project. I made a scarf and really wasn't thrilled with it, but I finished it. I pulled this up this morning, and I could not believe how much easier you made it look. I also love shawls and tops made from the sock yarn. I use yarn art flowers a lot. So I ordered some yarn art from Amazon, and tomorrow, I am on my way to try this scarf. I actually bought the moonlight version. Shiny Christmas colors for my (soon to be) 16 year old granddaughter. You have made my day! Another few days of making it also. I honestly don't know how such a simple pattern had me so messed up. Neither one of them did one row single and one row clusters. I know I can do it your way and enjoy every stressless minute of it. Like always, thank you so much, Toni! 🌹🌹🌹
I have been a fan of lightweight yarns since day one! I find that working with lace to DK yarns cause way less stress on my body. First, I fell in love with sock yarn because of the color ways. Then I found a pattern for fingerless lace mitts (by Red Heart) and I made about 40 pairs in every color I could find. Another fine teaching video. Will definitely be making this scarf with yarn from my stash. Thanks!!!
I'm working on this now and absolutely love it! Easy to remember the pattern and going faster than I thought!! The Mandala string is nice to work with too. Thank you! :)
This is exactly what I've been looking for. I will be frogging my current project for this one. I wasn't feeling it and starting searching and you popped up. I had been thinking of C2C but knew the traditional way wasn't it.
I am afraid of thin yarns and was hesitant to try this pattern. But I bought the kit bc the scarf is so beautiful!! This will be the thinnest yarn I have ever used.😅
I bought Hobbii Silly Sock yarn to make this!!! I'm excited to get started on it but i have Christmas gifts to finish first. Thank you for giving us a functional piece to try fingering weight yarn on!!
Thanks for the tutorial, Toni!! I'm doing this now using Big Twist Supernova and a 5mm hook. I didn't like the holes along the decrease side so I am using a decrease 3 dc together, with 2 in the chain 2 space and one in the end sc, if anyone else wants to try that. then you ch 1, skip that whole stitch and do the 2 scs in the space between that and the next stitch :D
This isn’t a traditional corner-to-corner; it looks to me like a granny block stitch worked CTC. It’s a dense stitch which might not drape well in a heavier yarn, and you do want your shawl to drape nicely, which I think, from what I saw in the video, this one will. Changing the dimensions would be easy, too: just keep adding rows past the point where the pattern stops, or crochet fewer rows than stipulated in the pattern. If you increase on only one side, you could end up with an asymmetrical triangle shawl. Nice project, T!
Had to tear back a bit when I realized I'd gone from an odd number of clusters in each row to an even number. Missed a cluster along the way. But now I'm back on track
I have tons of orphaned sock yarn and this looks like the perfect way to use them up. But my project is curling like crazy, even a steam block hasn’t really helped. Any advice (I am sized up on the hook and even added a treble crochet to the last decrease stitch.)
Do you think you could tell us the size of hook you are using in the video and the yarn weight? I'm trying to figure out if I've got the right hook for my yarn
This LB yarn was right up my alley. It's gorgeous! However I returned mine after swatching one skein. Could not get through the first row without it barfing into the worst tangles I've ever encountered. Took over an hour to detangle and wind into a ball. Not worth the frustration.
@@TLYarnCrafts Very good observation. I'm sure that was a factor with mine. I also checked Ravelry and found others had similar experiences. Unfortunate. Still, your lovely scarf design is worth making in a similar yarn.

Easy enough, I really like working in spaces no fussing around working into stitches ❤

I can't wait to start working on This scarf

Do this ALL the time! I hate counting every row or round, but it’s the only way I know to keep it consistent.😢
Love it‼️❤️🧶
Dont forget 👍

You may need to jump to a wet block. I assume the sock yarn is wool? It'll take very well to a warm bath :-)
Hey everyone
Hi, do 100 g will be enough to make this scarf or do I need to buy more yarn?
She said 3 skeins or 1000+ yards if you want it wider or longer 🎉
Thank you @@annettegraff8323

The patter yarn is a #1 weight, & the recommended hook for this project is 4.0 mm, or G if your hooks are old.
Cannot find the free pattern for this scarf. Can someone tell me where to find it.
i’d check her website! i found it there. it’s probably linked in the description

Yikes! Sounds like a bad skein. I definitely had some tangles but not that bad. I wonder if it's been handles a lot from being at the store?

I made mine in the same yarn and same color was easy working with ❤️
Thank you so much TL
