For anyone interested, the video is from 1959. It is a British film called Beat Girl (Wild for Kicks in the US). The girl is Gillian Hills and the guy is a young Oliver Reed.

True. Reed died in 1999 in Malta during the filming of Gladiator, in which he played slave owner Proximo.

For anyone missing their blues sound, check out the last 2 years of music where they've been more prolific than ever releasing a blues cover album and an album heavily influenced by blues music. New directions are not a bad thing.

Well it took me back to my 'Heady Durban Daze' with the best herb in the world, back in the 60s. Even the police & their adverse intentions couldn't stop us. They momentarily put the brakes on us, but that was all. Love this band for the panoramic diversity of all the music they play. From those deep blues roots, to fun soul such as thus. You guys are great 🎉

This video shows clips from the British movie "Beat Girl" filmed in 1959 (the movie was called "Wild For Kicks" in the United States). The girl was played by Gillian Hills who was only 15 during filming. The film was given an X Certificate (Explicit Content) in the UK which meant that nobody under 16 could see the film. Ironically, Ms. Hills was filming a movie that she was not allowed to watch.
The guy in the movie as the late, great Oliver Reed who was probably 21 during filming. His was a small bit role and he was only credited as being Plaid Shirt. When I was 7 or 8 years old, I saw the movie "Oliver!" and Oliver Reed's character of Bill Sikes scared the hell out of me. I became a big fan of Oliver Reed after that movie.

Never heard of this group until this song came out on the radio. I really like it it's got a unique sound. It's sort of reminds me of a song that you would hear watching something like Ocean's 11 or one of the ocean's movies
If you want to dig into their discography, you can check at first Brothers and El Camino albums. And then if you like, listen all the stuff since their debut album "The Big Come Up" in 2002
Why would you start so late in their discography? Just start with the first album and listen to all of it Like anyone would. That'd be like watching the 4th movie in a series before any of the others

My first Black Keys concert was on January 31, 2003 (the night before the Shuttle Columbia disaster). They opened for Sleater-Kinney at the Crystal Ballroom in Portland. One of the best shows I've ever been to. And both bands still making incredible music 20 years later!
