an example may be SDRs used by International Monetary Fund trading paper between central banks .... a space where blockchain can sufficient record ledgers and account authorisation, clearing between central banks & final settlements.
The video about the history of ICO was easy to understand.
I've audited this course through OCW and I did the readings, because he was the former "SEC guy", so I wanted to know what "these people" truly think about cryptos. And 1 year later, he's appointed, again, as the Chair of the Securities and Exchange Commission.. heh! This is perfect. I know what the "SEC guy" really thinks about Bitcoin, in the short term, in the medium term and in the long term. Long live Gary Gensler!!.. hehe..

The assignments and readings are published. The only thing that is missing is the lecture.
where is jeff sprecher's talk? why is the 18th lecture missing from the lecture lists? is it possible to publish that?
Note that Lecture 18 is not available. There could be a number of reason it is not available: the lecture was not recorded, the recording was bad (e.g. no audio), the instructor did not want to publish the lecture, IP issue (permission of a speaker not given), etc. No reason is given on the course.

What happened with Lecture 18? Why is it not available?
The most common reasons for videos to not be available are IP (guest lecturer doesn't sign the IP forms), technical (no audio, files missing), practical (class was cancelled, camera crew missed the lecture/). There is no specific note on the course (ocw.mit.edu/15-S12F18), so it was probably one of those reasons.
DOES ANYONE HAVE LECTURE #18? Or know anyone who might? The internet has been absolutely cleansed of it... It is really important that we get it. Any videos, transcripts, etc? Thank you.

For Gary to say Ripple had no use case for XRP is dishonest. The whole idea of the XRPledger from the beginning was to be a universal bridge for exchange of any value.
The team realized that it was far too advanced at the time so they developed a plan to slowly rebuild the plumbing of the total financial sector..... incremental baby steps.. xrapid was just the first step.
...all the money was the plan from day one.
