I can confirm that branching choices do matter in dialogues When I played the beta I took some choices that were mostly aligned with serving the Imperium but at some point I took some merciful options that could be seen as questionable by the Inquisition and that is exactly what they told me about (mostly to blackmail my character rather than actually punish) But I wonder what would have happened if I went on full imperial zealot path, I think I could have done it in such a way where the Inquisition couldn’t have collected dirt to blackmail me but then again they’d be able to count on unwavering loyalty instead I suppose
This seems amazing! Choices and branching is always nice! Hope the animations of the enemies "feeling/suffering" when receiving a hit have been implemented in the final version!
I like how serving the emperor and helping the imperium of man aka normal humans are 2 separate faction choices, can't wait to see how you guys will motivate it in depth.

An 8 pointed star is almost universally the symbol of Chaos. While Chaos is typically synonymous with heresy and the Warp, technically there are some subtle differences as in they're not exactly the same thing. The nature of Rogue Traders means what they often end up skirting the lines of what's acceptable and what's radical but not outright heresy. Also while Chaos is inherently evil, you could argue the Warp is more of a neutral force albeit a dangerous one.

There is nothing better, then when you kill sombody in a Game, who says what big of name he is. And then a hour later half of His best man are after you. I love consequences
As someone who always chooses the "good guy" response, I REALLY REALLY need an RPG that doesnt exercise just obviously good or obviously evil choices. In 40k killing a few billion innocent people to kill a few Heretics is justified and encouraged. Or picking up xeno weapon to gain power is both heretical and non-heretical, depending on what you are going to use it for. I hope this RPG presents these options and isnt going to be obviously a black/white decision tree.
This game looks awesome, I will definitely not pre-order and wait a week or so to see what others' verdicts are lmao. I hope that the people who made the WOTK masterpiece put the same love and care they did with that into this.
Agreed, hopefully so, but Wrath occasionally struggled, so... I have reservations about it. I ended up giving up cause the load times with Unity are atrocious
I would love a Kroot companion, as I'm currently playing one in a game with friends. But just because they exist in the books doesn't mean they'll be added to the game. A Kroot specifically will be difficult cause it'd require a different rig and animations to any of the humanoid characters. That's why I'd really like to see them SHOW something like that... cause I can't hold onto vain hope that they might be coming.@@AnarexicSumo

I really don't want to jinx myself, but I've been really looking forward to this for some time! No doubt they'll be some patches needed after the first week of release, but at this point, if there's an RPG set in the 40K universe, I'm SOLD!

Ehhh, I would argue 30k was more like split between the two, because Imperium even then was xenocidal and still de facto dictatorial regime.

The word bearers are confirmed antagonists, so likely it's undivided. Though I would expect slaanesh to be the most appealing god to a rogue trader.
There's a very heavy focus on Tzeentch and Slaanesh, Nurgle and Khorne get cameos

WHEN?
I really don't want to jinx myself, but I've been really looking forward to this for some time! No doubt they'll be some patches needed after the first week of release, but at this point, if there's an RPG set in the 40K universe, I'm SOLD!
btw for information you can buy it already and play the Beta(and the beta is three chapters and the first last 10 hour)
