    George was one of the greatest, but, honestly, he had far FAR more talent than what he was able to put in the albums or tours.
    His chaotic, complicated, troublesome career and personal life made it difficult.
    He could have been a much bigger artist in every sense. He wasn't able to fully reach his peak.
    Always felt, despite what he said, he was deeply unhappy. Had to walk forward carrying some heavy chains.

    Humans were designed to care for offspring and benefit from close relationships. Celebrities often times suffer the most from this due to their isolated, glitzy lifestyle and extreme extreme emotional highs and lows. People who veer off course most often times have self destruct tendencies, drug abuse, depression, etc.. Some people cope with this better than others. It has much to do with how disciplined you are in taking corrective action. Often times you hear celebrity stories where the person admits that if it weren't for their children (or another significant other), they would have committed suicide long ago. George was probably in the worst situation to be in when you take into account his past.

    • @TheBella2u

      And, no one seemed to take care of him. He shouldn’t have died from what he died of. Not with his availability to doctors.

    Yep, I think George, with the passing of the years, getting older, etc - well, I just think it all caught up with him - the drink, the drugs, heavy smoker - it basically killed him. Having said that, a wonderful, charismatic singer and performer - RIP George, you'll be missed by millions . . .

    So sad to see such an amazing talent waste away. Folks- money, fame, drugs, and all the sex in the world won't bring lasting peace. Just more misery.This guy is the proof. The good news of Christmas is that the living God, Jesus Christ, came into the world to fill the void that we insist on trying to fill with things that only moth, rust, and decay. Our prayers go out to George's family.

    I know what he means by 'fame becomes more a matter of "how long you've been around"
    To me it means that part of aging is accumulating errors and tragedies and misunderstandings and conflicts and losses over the years. You can accumulate just TONS of baggage and resentment and all sorts of shit that people direct at you just because you are a target for their own bullshit. Their own anger and jealousy . Plus people EXPECT him to smile and PROVE that he's really a nice guy after all, it must be exhausting.

      He actually looks adorable with that cropped hairstyle. He was ever so tired of having to blow-dry his hair each day when it was longer as he's got natural curls and didn't really want hair like Tom Jones or Brian May. 😉
      Once he cut it off in 2010 it was such a relief for him to just wash and dry it. Super cute!! 😍

    2:30 "What do you mean 'new life' as a gay man?"... exactly! Aren't you supposed to be born gay? It reminds me of that Dave Chappelle sketch, "Clayton Bigsby: The Black White Supremacist".... a white supremacists coming to terms that he is a blind black man.

      What do hermaphrodites have to do with gay people? You're comparing apples to oranges. The former is a mutation. No one is born gay or even with a sexual orientation. No one exits the wombs attracted to anyone. Sexuality is determined by environmental factors in one's formative years. gayfundamentals.wordpress.com/

    Nice dude, very pleasant personality... That said , I just don't see why he's so famous. He doesn't look like a great original musician; a couple of songs I found at random on TH-cam felt like bland pop of no great stopping force. Any particular pieces I might be missing that are different? I'm totally unaware of his "oeuvre", shall we say. Any suggestions?

      It seems to be if it were anything besides HIV his people would be willing to say. The fact that everyone is saying "he went peacefully" but not giving a reason means HIV was very likely the cause.
      That doesn't mean you can't say something nice about him though! He was an incredible talent and obviously very conflicted. We can only hope he is finally at peace. He will be missed for sure. Rest in peace!

    'never heard of him'. was he some sort of politician? I'm not amused by all the feigned concern of his death, though considering I have no idea who he is. his impact was obviously not that great when I asked around no one else knew the name either. So.....just sayin' all you who are so emotional, you may want to reconsider your own sanity regarding the routine act of death that we ALL go through eventually. And by the way, where were any of you when my granny died?

  • @intrepidgator

    Too bad Lucifer took another one to hell today. Then again, he takes millions each week but most are not famous.
    George Michael was not Born Again and did not know Christ as His propitiation and king, and therefore GM now has to pay the eternal penalty for his breaking of God's laws himself, instead of having a Savior take his punishment (which George is now experiencing), and is fully aware he completely deserves; as do we all.
    Its really simple; either you have Christ as your sacrificial offering and know him and are known by Him, and are therefore Born Again by His blood shed to pay the penalty you and I and ALL of humanity deserves to pay, or you like GM, will pay the penalty for transgressing the law of El Shaddai yourselves.

    • @PeaceTrainUSA-1000
      @PeaceTrainUSA-1000 7 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      So he has to burn in hell for eternity for 40+ years of (in your view) sin? Seems out of proportion to me.

    • @intrepidgator
      @intrepidgator 7 ปีที่แล้ว

      good thing you're not the Creator of all things and the arbiter of Holiness Truth and righteousness. only perfect Holiness can be in God's presence and kingdom for eternity. George like us all chose t
      his own way for his own gratification, while rejecting The Way to his salvation and acquittal of the just charges against him (and you and all fallen humanity).
      GM sent himself to he'll by rejecting Christ. God does not owe any of us salvation, we all deserve to be cast out for eternity. but in His grace love and mercy He offers His only be gotten as a sacrifice to cleanse us and make us acceptable in His sight.

    He seems like a conflicted man. Fame is awful at its core and it takes a strong person to deal with it today. Whatever the reason for his passing be it drug abuse, sexuality related disease or just unfortunate illness George Micheal looks like a man burdened by the stress of fame and undeserving of this outcome.
    I feel like he left many songs unsung and many tours untraveled and I for one will miss him
    RIP George.

      that was my impression too. Looks like he's got high blood pressure and he seems tired....like he lived too fast , not enough rest. Working too hard to be a success in life, that is stemming from low self esteem often. Smart guy, probably too intelligent for his own good. Never knows when to slow down.
      My assessment, for what its worth. Seems quite obsessed with his career and work in this interview. This driven type is hyper competitive , not a recipe for a long life.

    53 is too young, but some of it is genetic. Some people just mature and BURN so bright and so fast that they grow old fast. This man seemed like it could be genetic . The little known fact is that as recent as the 1800s the life expectancy for the average man was zilch, about 35. The upper classes fared better, getting to 40 or 45 on average. George Michael lived a lifestyle that is synonymous with drug abuse, masochism, alcohol, and general excess. I doubt he looked after himself well at all. Too much money means easy access to too many crutches, conveniences, temptations, and outright traps. Bet his father died young too, so add in the genetic factor.

      Dan Fine Really? Did you see the most recent photos of him? He had actually GAINED weight. Definitely not a symptom of AIDS.
