Why is the engine sound declining while the speed is increasing ^^ Lol that is insane. I love a good TAS of a good game! That engine would seize up faster than a car crash. That commentator is so weird, positive and crazy ^^
In real life that engine would've been dead before he crossed the startline! But to explain... The silent drift technique is utilized *CONSTANTLY*. It involves drifting at an angle close to straight with the track. As you go, you'll see the speed increase until you regain grip and hear a higher rev. The speed will decrease, too, until another silent drift is optionally chained. It's a lot to explain.... And chaining silent drifts, TAS or otherwise, takes a lot of precision.
i'm very curious to learn this technique with my "humans hands". i know some guys can do it. Do you think it's possible with the standard PSX controller or you really need a negcon ?
@@4kizan_lvlupscore It's definitely possible with a PS1 controller. Just need a steady thumb to monitor steering angle.... It's hard, but it's possible.

1)full turn to the left or right 2)accel off and brake on 3)breke off and accel on 4)NOT turn to the left or right 5)turn a little for adjustment

説明すると、スタートしてもまだスタートライン切ってないからタイム動いてないんだよ。(画面右上)
なので最高速でスタート切った方が当然速いから2.3週目と同じくらいのタイム出る。
なので逆走してスピード上げてからスタート切るのさ。

流石のTASも初代リッジレーサーは、上手くない・・・ 車体が一度コースに当たるたびに、2秒ぐらいロスになります。最後の3周目の途中までは良かった。TASならほんとはもっと行けるのでは。
TASなので当然ですがコースには全く接触していません。ただし確かに最適ではなく理論値は2'20"3前後です。最適化が大変過ぎて断念しました。

そうでしたか。当時、私もですがもっと上手く走れる方で、タイムも良い方もいました。(ネジコン使用ですが)
TASだともっと上手なんだと感じてしまいましたが、このゲームにおいては人の方が速く走れるのかもしれません。
