Thanks for playing! I'm hoping to see other scenario creators using this script...hoping. I released an Advanced Scenario Editing Guide ages ago and nobody seems to have used it.
Concerning stats:
INF is like regular infectivity, but is unaffected by the normal government actions that reduce infectivity.
ATK is like lethality, but it kills the *uninfected* based on the number of infected instead of the infected.
As countries grow more prepared they start to fight back, and also to resist ATK and INF. DEF reduces the amount that infected die due to humans fighting back, and PEN (penetration) reduces the effectiveness of the human's defense.
So, evolving *only* PEN without ATK or INF does nothing, but if you don't evolve PEN your attacks gradually grow less effective.
It is also possible to make symptoms that slow down or speed up the rate that countries ramp up their defenses, though I didn't use that.

I'm thinking of getting into Scenario Creation just from watching Pravus play these Scenarios and I may use this script. I have two Scenarios that I really want to create, the first one is The Green Flu, which is the "zombie" virus from the Left 4 Dead series, zombie is said in quotes because they're not technically zombies, the infected in L4D are not reanimated corpses. And the other one I want to create is a Scenario relating to a comic I'm in the process of writing, which has a highly contagious and deadly virus in it. I feel like this script could help both of them. I have to write the actual Scenarios first of course, but still.

Is it weird that I really want this virus to be real? I've always wanted to be a werewolf, and this would be an easy ticket to lycanthropy. Just find someone with he virus, let them bite me, and run before they evolve super speed.

unless the devs themselves add in new features you could indirectly change it. But that would be as easy as trying to make a car fly.

The pen seems more like how aware the werewolves are of the humans around them

The "+=" and "/=" are commands in Python. E.G. "HP += 18" would add 18 to the HP variable without having to write
HP = x
HP = HP+18
"/=" works the same way, only with division, not addition. There are functions for other operations as well.
Not only Python. The '+=', '/=' and all other related assignment operators are used in virtually all high level programming languages.
Could you return to the Beyond Human plague and get the alternate endings?
I think a remake of Beyond Human would be better. I've learned so much since then and it's a concept I'd like to revisit.

Those aren't lycanthropes. Lycan means wolf. A werebear would be an ursinethrope and a tiger would be a type of felinethrope.

@@ChrisPhelior in fantasy, specifically dnd, lycanthropy includes all of monsters listed above.
I think it refers to the term Pentest, which in computers means an attack that tests and evaluates the security of a computer, basically, a test for weaknesses in something, so like combat prowess?
Maybe the PEN stat _is_ penetration, but for something like how well the infected can penetrate enemy lines? Stealth, kinda. Not so much piercing armor.

Some of Them Mutated into Moschidathropy and then Infecting Me
So I think the purpose of penetration is to cancel out defence. Which is basically the same thing as getting more attack however because it only applies when there is defence to penetrate it ends up as a second attack stat that only works once there is enough defence for it to penetrate and it can as a result be given out for cheaper/in larger quantities then regular attack.
The math is a bit more complicated, but this is more or less the idea.

I think PEN is short for perception due to the enlargement of ears, enhanced eyesight and reducing the effectiveness of human attacks due to being able to detect them? It seems like it'd make more sense than Penetration.

I personally think the Necroa Virus would work better for this scenario, you would just have to find out how, if its even possible to rename "Zombies" to "Werewolves" if thats possible in custom scenarios because who knows maybe only Ndemic has that power with scenarios.

The idea was more that they could use them to sneak into military bases and attack stealthily, making them more effective against hardened countries.

Yeah
I don't think writing a script for that is as easy as you think it is. It probably requires taking apart the whole games and then add in those extra bars. The trick is to put it back together without too many issues. Btw it's probably also illegal because you directly tamper with the engine of the game which is something only the devs are allowed to do. There was once a chinese team that made a three kingdoms mod for the old rtw game and they got insta banned the totalwar forum for having messed with the games engine. Let's just say it was quite a mess.
I'm pretty sure it's not illegal... modding is certainly not suable at the very least
@@Oznerock It depends on what the devs deem as legal or illegal. They have always the last word. Most devs just don't like tampering with hardcoded stuff.
