im sorry how low did you tune your 8 string? D? That is redonculously low. Its in F#.
@@Insignia27 Drop D-1 is just tuning the whole guitar down a whole step, so like drop C on a 6-string or drop G on a 7-string. It's very low lmao, its fun to play around with and just djent

It's true that you can't just play it like a campfire acoustic, due to the lower interval limit. All intervals except octaves start sounding wrong as you go lower, the "cleaner" the interval the lower you can go before that. A 7 string's standard tuning is just outside of that area, and an 8 string (or a bass, like in my case) are actually affected by this if the top note of an interval goes below E2 or so
@@georgiykireev9678 Yeah, I have heard that one before, too, but the one who said it phrased it as though it made it impossible to strum anywhere on the guitar, unless I’m remembering incorrectly. I believe Sebasticide was strumming around E2, so he didn’t go beyond that interval limit, making it sound good, which shows that it is indeed possible to strum on an 8 string, just only on the upper half of it.
Edit: Sebastiside. Didn’t notice it was spelled like that at first.
Edit 2: Looks like he did go beyond the threshold, but I think the time he muted the string so it didn’t sound bad.
You are totally deserving of that new guitar. I am really glad legator reached out to you, they are very underrated and make some really nice options for headless guitars.
Personally disagree, other greater headless models out there.

Legator guitars are great, but there aren't any left handed versions which limits me a lot, I want a headless from them

Hey I've been a fan for a bit now and I just wanted to say your one of my guitar idols and I wish I had your style just wanted to say I built my first 8 string just 4 days ago and I'm in love with with even tho it's probably cheaper then yours

Hell yeah, i have one of these guitars as well but in black. Despite legator having somewhat of a bad rep i find it plays really well, though i suppose that's to be expected when you're spending a grand on an instrument. It looks like they're steadily improving the shape too; the neck on yours extends a good ways beyond the allen keys, nice for preventing getting pricked by the string ends (The neck on mine just cuts off flush with the allen keys). Also i noticed the pickups look different. The ones mine came with are called "the hive," also made by legator. They kinda look like EMGs but with a honeycomb pattern engraved into the casing.
