Good video ! I personally have 2 Hullavators on my RAV4 . They are a back saver , reliably lifting both of my yaks ; Aspire 105 & Dagger Axis 10.5 . If not for my Hullavators i likely wouldn't kayak as much , if at all. Never mind the comments on your technique for taking up the excess strap length , if it works then do it .
Sean L Hey, how long are the crossbars on your RAV4? I'm looking into a Hullavator + Hullaport Pro rack for my RAV to hold two kayaks, and with the 53" crossbars I'm afraid they won't both fit. Are you using something longer? Thanks for any tips!
:-) I agree with most comments below (OCD/ use of Velcro strap compartments/ Turning off car engine (not necessary for the Hullavator to operate perfectly)/ Weight of canoe... but I am also pleased, like you all, that this shows the Hullavator in action by a small and light-weight person like myself. Just a shame that my kayak is a lot longer and heavier than this one, so I hope I can make it look just as easy with time and practice!
Hes wearing a jacket.It's evening and getting cold. They just got off the lake and started the vehicle to come over to pack up. Diesels take awhile to get to temp due to being way more efficient. Driving a cold engine harms it. The engine also warms the tranny. The longer the engine and tranny last the less pollution making, supplying and delivering new ones as well as all the factories and mines running to produce and deliver the raw materials and parts required and the vehicles to deliver them. He's creating far less pollution and waste allowing it to warm up. These ppl obviously think about carbon emissions as buying a diesel over a gas vehicle and doing recreational activities that don't require a gas engine (kayaking) shows. Try to think a little before you spout off. I'll bet you pollute more than these folks do as you environmentalists do not ever consider anything other than what u see that moment. Say one more word to him and I'll be sure to hunt extra baby fur seals this season. Haha..kidding about that part.

Stow the excess strap ends in the velcro pockets on the upper bars.

Limped my hulivators the only problem we have is the landcruiser is a bit taller vehicle and we have to lift the Revos a bit to far

To much farking around with those straps, better to use a 500kg rated ratchet strap with the rubber coated S hooks.
